Right downtown. Rear room was wonderful and pretty quiet. King bed, nice bathroom. Only downside is no restaurant, but they say there will be soon. Gracious helpful staff.

The Paia Inn was everything we could have hoped it would be -- from the room, to the private beach, to the service we received from Raya when we checked in. The only thing I would change in the future is ensuring I stayed in a room that was not affected by the music at the connected restaurant, Vana, as it was quite loud until 10pm each night.

The Paia Inn is quaint but dated. There’s no ice. Limited parking. The bar and restaurant are not open and the town closes up by 9:00. However, the sunsets out back are amazing and the staff is truly wonderful. A short walk to a beautiful beach with turtles. The small town has some great little restaurants and shops. A short drive to the airport, waterfall hikes and surfing spots.

The young college aged man at the front desk upon check in was very nice and helpful. He provided us with lots of recommendations and showed us around the entire property on check in. The rooms and the property itself was very quaint and well positioned between all of the downtown area. The private area in the back overlooking the beach was also an amazing place to watch the sunset.

The staff was amazing and made us feel welcome everywhere we went! Beach access and availability of chairs etc. was a huge bonus! I highly recommend this specialty, boutique hotel. Go Paia! Go Maui!

We lost our connection to Molokai and had to find a place to stay last minute. This inn is extremely cute and comfortable. Parking was easy. They have a direct acess to the beach and a wonderful place to lounge and enjoy outside. Today we just set there observing the beach and the sunset. I honestly cannot believe it's just a little over 6 miles from the airport. The only noise is the one coming from the road, and it's surprisingly quiet. There's several shops and dining options around. You can walk to everything. For us it was a gem that saved a frustrating day of airport nonsense. We would stay longer if we didn't have other plans.

This hotel has a beautiful area overlooking the beach which is perfect for morning coffee or your take-out dinner. The room was clean, cute with a comfortable bed. The ceiling fan was not adequate and the room temperature was not as cool as the remote indicated. I opened the windows when there was a cool breeze and that was really nice. I enjoyed morning coffee from the common room upstairs. The amenity fee should have been adjusted since an ice machine was not working during my stay.

The website and the description on expedia says that there is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. That was shuttered over a year ago from what people tell me. It was a big let down, because that restaurant was one of the main reasons we selected this hotel and paid that much to stay there. The proper is in a great location but suffers from a lack of maintenance to keep the amenities that it showcased to be available and working. With some focus and attention, it will be back to a shining star, but we were let down since this was a once and a lifetime trip to Maui, a very far away destination for us.

The staff was wonderful and the place was very clean and well kept. I really liked the walk to the beach with loungers. It rained most of the time we were there though and there’s nothing with a canopy so when it rained we couldn’t use it at all. But the beach area was very cute. However there were a couple issues to note. We booked the petite room which came to $600 for one night! Very expensive. Also I do NOT recommend the petite room for 2 people. I’ve stayed in teeny tiny rooms in New York City, San Francisco, and Washington DC, and none of those were as small as this. The bathroom sink was my husbands nightstand. Had to wash my hands right next to his head while he was sleeping. It was very cramped, could barely get around the bed. The other issue we had is the window was not good at blocking sound. There was a crazy woman screaming gutteral screams off and on all night outside our window that let every little sound in. So we slept terribly. Which is kind of the point. Should probably replace the windows with something double paned. This sound was awful to try to sleep through. And then of course the price of $600 for a TINY room was pretty ridiculous.

I will start with the good. The staff person was extremely wonderful. That’s it. The pictures are a lie. Noting looks like this. The table and chairs in kitchen were old, the only other place to sit was a hard wood futon like bench. Bedrooms were small but ok. It was definitely not bright and clean. You had to walk these back narrow alley to get to door. Afraid anyone in the restaurant or street could go back to our rooms. Just unsafe and dirty.

Conveniently located 10 mins from the airport. The inn is attached to a sushi bar which was delicious. The live music was great. The room itself was cute, clean and cozy. All you need for a couple nights stay. The inn is next to a busy road which can be heard from the room, but we weren’t bothered by it. The live music can be heard from the room as well, but again, we weren’t bothered and the bar closes at 10. All in all great stay, would recommend. Also would like to mention, we flew in late, receptionist contacted us with late check in information and was very helpful. Thank you!

This place is more beautiful in person than what’s show in the pictures. Absolutely comfortable, clean, and the staff was professional, friendly and helpful. This will be our stay every time we come back. The ladies at the front desk were amazing. Centrally located and walkable to all the shops. The restaurant next door is great.

This was our second trip to this hotel and sadly we were underwhelmed by our recent experience. Our first visit was in 2021 and we had a fabulous stay. We had a wonderful spacious room that was stocked with amazing Malie amenities (like travel lotion, bath salts) for use during and after our trip. The beach access and beach area is fabulous (turtles sunbathing!) and the hotel is walkable and has a fun on-site restaurant/bar. On our most recent stay, we checked in only to discover that our room and the surrounding lobby area smelled like cigarette smoke. The receptionist/concierge (Jocelyn) was wonderful and was extremely responsive and helped us to secure a different offsite room. While we appreciated the prompt change, we were ultimately put in a room with a broken bathroom sink and stained sheets. The room appeared a bit neglected overall. Ultimately, our stay was an overall disappointment when we had splurged on this hotel and paid $600 for this experience.

The Paia Inn is a small hotel in the middle of Paia. It is nice looking and the staff is friendly and helpful. The access to the beach is close and secluded. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. We had a room that was very very small and it faced the front of the hotel (window shades did not blockout the street lights). The price was also very high. Too high for the room we had.

Lovely little Inn. Centrally located and convenient to walk everywhere in Paia. Our room was small but comfortable. We were on the street side, so unfortunately heard traffic all night and had two nights of little sleep. I would definitely recommend and stay there again, but in a quiter room.

We stayed in room number 5. It was very small with no place to place suitcase or sit, except on the bed. I was annoyed by a 30 dollar amenity charge which was billed as I checked out. Hidden fees make me mad.

Our room was at front/corner. Since I went to bed 9 pm until i got out from bet at 5 am, music pounded through the room and my pillow. I was not able to sleep a minute of that night

No AC’s and a broken noisy fan in the small city rooms, didn’t seem to work in the bigger city rooms. Vibe, location, and restaurant / bar and restaurant / bar staff were great. But after long days of photography, hiking, etc. got to have a place to sleep. Missed the mark on that.

The restaurant was lovely. The grounds are cute, but the room it definitely petite. The description did say that the room faces the main road. It was very loud early in the morning. You can hear all of the cars and trucks. It’s a very basic need hotel. A place to rest your head. Again this is for the petite room, so it may be a different experience for the rooms toward the private beach. The grounds were cute but not really kept up. The rate was not worth the room.

The restaurant was lovely. The grounds are cute, but the room it definitely petite. The description did say that the room faces the main road. It was very loud early in the morning. You can hear all of the cars and trucks. It’s a very basic need hotel. A place to rest your head. Again this is for the petite room, so it may be a different experience for the rooms toward the private beach. The grounds were cute but not really kept up. The rate was not worth the room.

Room was nice, but small. Bathroom was beautiful, but the shower curtain is too short and lets a lot of water escape. Incredible location on the beach and close to so many food options. The pizza next door or the Paia coffee company are both awesome.

Small, dated, yet charming hotel. Rooms at the front are facing very busy road. Really noisy road. There is no sound proof from it. Rooms towards the back of the building are fine. The hotel is clean, morning coffee is free. Reception is excellent, staff very helpful, including super nice cleaning ladies. Location right in the center of Paia. Plenty of parking spaces available.

Conveniently located 10 mins from the airport. The inn is attached to a sushi bar which was delicious. The live music was great. The room itself was cute, clean and cozy. All you need for a couple nights stay. The inn is next to a busy road which can be heard from the room, but we weren’t bothered by it. The live music can be heard from the room as well, but again, we weren’t bothered and the bar closes at 10. All in all great stay, would recommend. Also would like to mention, we flew in late, receptionist contacted us with late check in information and was very helpful. Thank you!

Despite cancelling within the allowed window, it’s been 2+ months without a refund. Hotels.com won’t help - must deal with the hotel directly. I have made numerous calls and there is always an excuse as to why it’s delayed. Sadly, I now have to report to BBB and dispute the charges with my credit card. If there is any chance you may need to cancel, I would highly suggest booking elsewhere.

Not that great for the high cost. The TV controller had all blank buttons, The self-check-in was very confusing, not just for us but for other guests as we all tried to figure it out in the dark.

I stayed at the Paia Inn for one night due to driving Road to Hana the next day. It was exactly what I needed, but overall hotel is extremely overpriced. Upon checking in I asked about leaving my luggage in a storage room the next day, however I was never able to do so because the front desk closed early and wouldn’t be back until the next morning at 8:30AM, which seems extremely late for a hotel desk. As someone previously pointed out, I too am confused about the amenity charge, considering it is a very basic hotel. Good starting point for RTH, but I’d much rather stay elsewhere in the area or Hana for the cost.

Lovely little Inn. Centrally located and convenient to walk everywhere in Paia. Our room was small but comfortable. We were on the street side, so unfortunately heard traffic all night and had two nights of little sleep. I would definitely recommend and stay there again, but in a quiter room.

Right in the middle of Paia with easy access to all the shops, dining and beach. It would be nice to stay here without a car. Room was beautifully appointed. A little loud, but that is the exchange for being so close the the amenities.

We lost our connection to Molokai and had to find a place to stay last minute. This inn is extremely cute and comfortable. Parking was easy. They have a direct acess to the beach and a wonderful place to lounge and enjoy outside. Today we just set there observing the beach and the sunset. I honestly cannot believe it's just a little over 6 miles from the airport. The only noise is the one coming from the road, and it's surprisingly quiet. There's several shops and dining options around. You can walk to everything. For us it was a gem that saved a frustrating day of airport nonsense. We would stay longer if we didn't have other plans.

This is a charming boutique hotel which just happened to be super-convenient location-wise for the Cycle to the Sun race event. Right next to the bike shop that organized the event and close to the start line. It also has access to a beautiful beach and is smack in the middle of Paia town with plenty of food and shopping options.

Paia Inn was a perfect spot to stay. It was centrally located for all the places we visited. Honestly, my mornings were the best because of the nespresso bar! Hotels rarely have good coffee- that was a huge bonus.

We loved this property. It’s right on the water (huge sea turtles came to visit) and right in the middle of town. Very kind and accommodating staff. Simple, clean rooms. Bummed that the restaurant and bar were closed, would have been nice to know before. But, there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

This hotel has a beautiful area overlooking the beach which is perfect for morning coffee or your take-out dinner. The room was clean, cute with a comfortable bed. The ceiling fan was not adequate and the room temperature was not as cool as the remote indicated. I opened the windows when there was a cool breeze and that was really nice. I enjoyed morning coffee from the common room upstairs. The amenity fee should have been adjusted since an ice machine was not working during my stay.

The website and the description on expedia says that there is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. That was shuttered over a year ago from what people tell me. It was a big let down, because that restaurant was one of the main reasons we selected this hotel and paid that much to stay there. The proper is in a great location but suffers from a lack of maintenance to keep the amenities that it showcased to be available and working. With some focus and attention, it will be back to a shining star, but we were let down since this was a once and a lifetime trip to Maui, a very far away destination for us.

We LOVED our stay at Paia Inn! I didn’t want to stay in a super touristy area of the island and Paia Town seemed perfect for what we wanted out of our trip. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive and the room was perfect! I know others have mentioned staying above the restaurant was noisy but to our luck the restaurant was closed for a maintenance issue and we enjoyed peace and quiet our entire stay. The beach access was a great touch and the beach was gorgeous, quiet and we even saw a sea turtle! The town was our favorite part— so many shops, delicious places to eat and a great start for the road to Hana! We will definitely stay here again! Maholo!

We loved it. It’s a perfect home base for staying on Maui on the north side. Parking is slightly tricky, but didn’t have any issues and they gave us a tank of a rental car. Easy to walk to fun and stores. Locals were very helpful. Staff was nice. And the beds were super nice. I need to know the mattress so can order one for our house. Really wish the sushi place was open, but we tried most of the local places. Beach access. If we didn’t have stuff to do on south side, easily could have stayed here the whole trip.

Les matelas des transats sont sales, jamais rangés et nettoyés, la réception conseille de mettre une serviette dessus mais ces serviettes ne sont jamais disponibles, il faut toujours les réclamer. Nous avions loué l'appartement pour 4, 2BR avec cuisine. Dans la cuisine, seulement 3 fourchettes, pas de bols, 2 cuillers, pas de machine à café filtre et une machine Nespresso à bout de souffle. Les clims datent des années 60 et font un bruit de réacteur, pas moyen de dormir la clim allumée. N'espérez pas utiliser le ventilateur, il fait également un bruit infernal. Le restaurant est un gag, pas moyen d'avoir deux plats servis en même temps mais le check-out suggère un tip de 30%. Seul point positif : le bar, les cocktails sont super bons.

Upon arrival the front desk staff and owner were arguing. After checking in and going to our room, then back down to the lobby for dinner, the front desk staff and owner were still arguing, needless to say, it was very uncomfortable. Location is perfect! There’s no way to adjust the temperature in the room, individually, sleeping with doors shut makes it very hot. I wouldn’t stay here again because of this. They do keep the outside doors open in the back, cats come in ( I love cats, I have 2 myself) and there was a urine scent by the games/ books. Decor was gorgeous, the artwork amazing. Advertised and sound proof, walls yes, windows, no. If you’re a light sleeper probably not where you want to stay. Otherwise be prepared to hear the local kids’ cars, music, partying. Which is fine, it’s their home, just good to be aware of.

have been staying here for years and it is always great. This time was just a one night in and out because we flew in from mainland and headed to another island the next day for a wedding. Proximity to airport and not staying in a chain made it a great spot to get the most out of one night and day in Maui. we have stayed at Paia Inn over the years and always enjoy our stay regardless of the length.

We only stayed one night, however the staff were very helpful. We had a night time visitor (one of the property's cats) which we loved. The room was small but well appointed. The property is really cool with tons of amenities and the location was right in the middle of all of the action. Loved it!
