Motel 6-San Marcos, TX

The room had just been cleaned, but it had had several dead beetles on the outside mat, and more nearly-dead beetles by the door inside. The floor was damp and oily looking and it was slick. We "dried" it with a towel which turned very dirty from the floor. We left for a while and the oily moisture resurfaced. We had to wear shoes the entire stay. The bathtub had a bad spot in the finish and looked like it had been painted over and had exposed fiberglass. That bad area was also very slick.The general feel and appearance was a poor quality, badly maintained hotel. That being said, the price was affordable but left us ready to leave the premises. Did not say anything to the staff becasue their attitude made it feel like a futile attempt.

This place was dirty, nasty and just not fit for anything. Should be removed from Hotels.com.

The property is rundown. The room was not very clean and worn down. The bed sheets and the blankets had stains. Upon arrival the temperatue in the room was super cold due to the AC running and it took a while to bring the temperature down to a level that was more comfortable. The icing on the cake was that none of us could sleep due to other hotel guests talking loudly outside the room. In short, book only as last resort.

The condition of the bed frame needs to be replaced. Looks like something chew it up. Room was overall dirty.

This is definitely a case of you pay for what you get. Our bathtub was literally chipping and rusting away. It wasn't very clean at all. The rooms are TINY and the AC is literally right by the bed so you are either freezing your ass off or you are sweating it off. Staff is really friendly and helpful so that was appreciated very much. If you are looking for just a cheap stay, this place is perfect. The bed isnt a queen either BTW, its a full. So there's that. The location is convenient to literally everything. That i did like. The beds were small, but the sheets and blankets were clean and so were the towels. The rooms in general could just use a good scrubbing from top to bottom but im also a clean freak so it could be just me. I give this place an overall 5/10.
