Avenue of the Giants Caraway Cottage (#3)

Very comfortable little cottage with a nice deck for outdoor dining. The steep gravel driveway is a bit of a deterrent, but when we drove to the right side of it uphill we made it fine. The host instructions were excellent, the cottage has a diverse collection of reading materials, and a well supplied kitchen. We will definitely consider returning next time we stay in the area.

Perfect stop on our San Francisco-Seattle road trip for our family of 5. Great location to explore Redwoods, close to the river for swimming, and not far from Miranda grocery. House was spotless and kitchen well equipped. Beds are incredibly comfortable, the house is fantastic for spreading out and enjoying some peace and quiet.

Beautiful and very comfortable place with plenty of outdoor space, right in the heart of the redwoods. We will definitely come back!

Staying at Caraway Cottage is like living in the tree canopy. The windows look out onto branches filled with Stellar's jays, Acorn Woodpeckers and songbirds, and peering below you'll see Black-headed Grossbeak, California Quail and Pale Swallowtail butterflies. The cottage is tastefully decorated with many comforts and a well-equipped kitchen. Located just off the Avenue of the Giants and Hwy 101, the cottage is convenient for exploring both the nearby southern groves and more distant northern sites in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. We enjoyed coffee every day at Sips and found organic produce and a nice wine selection at the Miranda Market, both just a few minutes drive from the cottage. Before and during our trip, the host Marisa promptly responded to questions.

We were here for a quick overnight on a long road trip. The property was super cute I wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy it. Everything was clean and very comfortable.
