The room was nice. The property was basic. The pool area was so crowded. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to use the pool. This made for a very crowded pool area and many people there just to drink.

Room was large, clean and modern. The resort was gorgeous, staff friendly and pool complex amazing. The water in the pools was perfect and the lazy river was a highlight. Dining options were numerous and pretty decent.

There is a parking fee of $32/night. There are also daily resort fees. I would have chosen this property regardless of the fees, but on some trips these fees would have deterred me from staying at the location.

Best resort for families with kids near LA . Our family has been going here and Huntington Beach but this one it is by far on top . Water slides and and lazy river are amazing and not only for kids but my self I enjoyed very much . If you need to reconnect with your kids , this is the place . On the evenings they have movies by the biggest pool , pure magic I can say . We come here at least 4 times each year . Will see you soon again .

The breakfast was amazing! Pools were fun but hard to get a spot unless you pay for it. A lot of the reserved spots were empty so they could have lowered the prices and might have opened up gor other's or i would have considered getting one. The 3rd floor (maybe) water pressure was beyond low. Overall it was a great fun stay and I would go back. Just maybe during th week.

So many weird people there. Families over crowding all the areas. No space to move any where. There lazy river was overcrowded and overbooked. There were no more floats available. That just shows you people will book a room and their entire clan will stay there. We saw one party exit their room and there were over 7 people in there. Absolutely ridiculous. Drinks at the pool took forever and when we got them they’re over priced and tasted like battery acid. Stick to bottled drinks. Definitely not coming back here.

Hotel was a little pricey. $19 drinks that were not very good. Margaritas with no flavor. Pool area was great!!! Lazy River well worth it. Self parking should have been more reasonable. $32 per night for self parking was a lot- especially during the week when the hotel is empty! Most hotels charge less than $25 to park your own car in the heat.

The room was not vacuumed, the bathroom was very dirty around the edges, and countertops had marks on them. The dishes at the breakfast buffet (specifically the glass cups for the yogurt) were all dirty or stained or had marks on them. The food at the breakfast buffet was horrible - one chef making scrambled eggs with a long line, food in the buffet dishes looked like sludge, and the options were sad. For the price we paid, I was quite unimpressed by the attention to detail. I also felt bad for the staff as it appeared they were understaffed everywhere. It took them almost an hour to get a toothbrush delivered to our room.

Overall a decent resort for the family. For the price we paid for a one bedroom villa we did expect the villa to be cleaner. There was dog hair all over the floors , carpet and couches. That was pretty disgusting. They are a dog friendly resort but they should let their guests know if there is rooms available that don’t accommodate pets. I have little ones so the crawling on the floor full of pet hair was disgusting. The villa had a small private spa outside that was full of leaves and other debris. Like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. And the outside patio was also pretty dirty. The pool area and kids slide area was also pretty dirty. Mud and trash everywhere. I think for the price you pay you expect a little more cleanliness. The resort definitely needs more upkeep than what they are giving it. Specially the water park and pool area. The inside was nice, the lobby and the two restaurants and snack shop were very nice. No complain. The food was great.

This hotel is a very relaxing and beautiful place to stay. The rooms were spotless, the staff was kind and helpful, and the check-in process was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

It was busy. Very overstimulating to be at the pool. Our room had dust all along the coffee nook shelves. Paint was peeling in the bathroom. So many dirty room service trays in the hallways. For the money we paid didn’t seem like we got what we paid for. I definitely would make it a point to not stay here again,.

Not enough staff in pool area to clean up. We stayed three days and by 1pm each day there was trash and debris in the pool. It was disgusting. Staff also didn’t monitor the unused lounge chairs and therefore people couldn’t find shade when they arrived to the pools in the afternoon. Additionally, this property needs more service in pool area. We were not asked one time over our three day stay if we wanted to order food and drinks. Room was spacious, balcony and restrooms were nice. Not enough light in the room and the restroom had cracks in the plaster on the walls. Beautiful resort and great amenities. Spa service was excellent. Restaurant on site was delicious and had fabulous service.

Overall a good experience, though a few things could be improved- Listing allowed me book 5 people (4 adults, 1 teen) in a room that accommodated no more than 4 & staff were unable to resolve to our satisfaction. The rooms were clean (though dated) and housekeeping was great. We had a great view of the pools from balcony, which was appreciated. Overall staff was experience was so-so. A big issue..there are no lifeguards/supervision at pools or lazy river (at least that I could see- no one was enforcing safe practices)- all become BUSY- especially with small, unsupervised children. There's outside bars and walking staff to order drinks from. Parents are drinking, many are not watching their kids. For the safety & enjoyment for all, there needs to be proper lifeguards. Our family ended up leaving the lazy river (as did most other adults and older teens) as it became too chaotic- kids jumping in/out from sides, kicking/splashing, aggressive play, throwing footballs, stacking tubes & was far too busy. We did still have some very enjoyable moments in the lazy river and adult pool. The grounds were clean and very well kept. Finally, the food from the restaurants are desperately lacking- I wouldn't even bother- there are far better local options. While it wasn't all bad, I'm not sure we'd return- for what we received, it was quite pricey. I appreciate that they are welcoming to families and all ages, but we might be looking for a more relaxing, adult driven resort.

We spent the weekend at the Grand Hyatt and had a wonderful time. Rooms were big and accommodated our family of 5 (king bed and sofa bed), and the bathroom was roomy as well. My only complaint is that there is no lock on the bathroom door. The pools were walking distance, and we enjoyed the pools, slides, and lazy River. There were tons of people but it was not overcrowded. All the staff was really nice. 10 min drive to lots of palm desert restaurants if you’re looking to go out. Definitely recommend this hotel if you’re coming to the desert.

Was expecting a luxury resort, but this was just a run of the mill hotel. Amenities were just ok, lighting in room was very dim. Pools were great, but we only found one hot tub, and there were unattended children everywhere, including the hot tub. Worst of all was the parking situation - it’s not included with the hotel stay, and there aren’t in and out privileges, so there were days when we paid three times for parking - and there’s nowhere else to park. A grab and go breakfast for two (from the on-site cafe) was as much as a sit-down. Prices were outrageous for a mediocre product.

Beautiful room - highly recommend deluxe rooms with a view of the golf course. My only complaint was that the shower head was beyond horrible. Barely had any water pressure. Other than that, very happy with the room and my stay.

The water activities and pools were great. The check-in was terrible! Took us 30 minutes to check-in because they had checked me in under someone’s else name. The rooms are gorgeous, but the AC unit in our room was extremely loud, we didn’t get good sleep because of it. Engineering was sent out to check on the AC and they said the horrible noises were “normal.” Not sure I’ll be coming back.

Though our room was nice, we had an issue with the sliding door to the patio and air conditioning. It took two calls and 2+ hours of waiting to get it fixed. The engineering team was quick to fix once they arrived and they were apologetic and did great! I’m not sure what was going on but the entire resort was completely chaotic on Saturday. Kids running amok with little to no parent supervision, loud, people leaving their barking dogs in their rooms. $600 to stay one night, I expected it to be relaxing. Amenities were great overall, except for the overpacked pool/waterpark area…felt like a daycare nightmare. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. And the shower head fell on both my wife and son’s heads because it wasn’t properly supported. The good: great gym and outdoor facilities, and the staff could not have been more incredible! My rating is not a reflection on them whatsoever.

Great amenities like the pools, especially loved the water park. The room is spacious enough and clean. Easy to communicate with the staff through text messages, which I believe is available 24hours. Staffs are friendly and helpful. One of the best places to stay for a relaxing and peaceful vacation.

Arrived at 4 pm right at check in, told room not available and would receive a text once ready. Was told at front desk, ‘they are cleaning your room now’ will give you a key to another room to change and go to water park. We changed, left our stuff in the other room and went to the pool. At the pool by 5 pm on a non weekend day, was told, ‘we have no towels’….at the pool, while we are waiting for our room. 3 hours later at 7 pm we go to the front desk as we did not receive a text until we were in line to get our regular room. We go to the room and await the luggage (which we were told we cannot carry to the room), which in our soggy bathing suits, we waited another 45 mins for our luggage to be transported 3 floors, we were happy to do but some policy prevented us from getting them. It is not too much to expect if check in at 4 which is pretty late to begin with to not have a room ready until 7 pm, no towels and another delay for luggage. I would expect more for $700/night. Rest of the stay went fine, nice water park and plenty of pools, just an unfortunate first day w 4 kids made it challenging after a long car ride to get there.

The room was nice and there was lots to do for the kids. However, we found the prices on everything to be a bit too inflated. They are charging luxury hotel prices. Our service at Carmacho was horrible - waited over an hour for food.

At 2pm check in the valet said they would hold our bags until we could get into the room. Bags were stickered and we were given a ticket. We returned at 5:15pm to request our bags (including my purse) and found them sitting completely unattended to the right of the front door outside by the valet stand! Unnoticed we simply took our 6 bags and walked away. We then tried to check in but were told our room was not ready even though it was over an after after “the latest our room would be ready”. Your hotel is nicely upgraded and clean but your customer service is what will keep people from returning.

The room wasn't cleaned well, I found a few hairs in bathtub when we first walked into the room, there was a cobweb in the corner of the room that was missed in preparing room for me and my family and missed again during room cleaning while we stayed there. Service at the restaurant was absolutely horrible, the waiter forgot parts of our order several times and once food came out forgot to give us utensils. Also, during our stay we bought the S'more pack to make with our daughters while we watched movie with them, 1st the "S'more pack" purchased from hotel was missing sticks to roast marshmallows so we were unable to do that and 2nd the movie being shown for "Movie Night" could barley be seen , it was so small on screen. Pool was the only thing great at this hotel, our girls absolutely enjoyed that.

Our check-in process was okay. I said hello good afternoon, no response and she proceeded with asking me for first/last name. I gave her my credit card that I paid with the room in her hand and she returns it and left it on the counter( while I had my hand reaching out for it), same thing with the card for the room. Typically check in processes are much more welcoming, warm, respectful and are friendly. Despite our check in process it was great. Staff and fellow people were extremely nice.

We spent the weekend at the Grand Hyatt and had a wonderful time. Rooms were big and accommodated our family of 5 (king bed and sofa bed), and the bathroom was roomy as well. My only complaint is that there is no lock on the bathroom door. The pools were walking distance, and we enjoyed the pools, slides, and lazy River. There were tons of people but it was not overcrowded. All the staff was really nice. 10 min drive to lots of palm desert restaurants if you’re looking to go out. Definitely recommend this hotel if you’re coming to the desert.

Nice, large resort with transportation to and from the Indian Wells tennis tournament in March. Perfect location for the purpose of our trip. Our room was mid century modern room with a sunken living room and patio overlooking one of the pool areas. Coffee shop was an easy way for us to get good coffee and quick breakfast every morning. Parking is an absolute rip off- only complaint. Would stay again.

This is a beautiful property with the nicest staff. The pool area was fabulous, the room was large, comfortable, clean and modern and it was so convenient for the BNP tournament! Will definitely stay here again!

The property was great for families of all ages. We had teenagers and they had an awesome time! The pool staff was very attentive, even in the 115 degree temperature. On site restaurants were delicious, and location was perfect to great restaurants at the El Paseo, and super easy to get an uber to downtown Palm Springs. Can't wait for our next stay!

Age 53 and my first time at a hotel. Front desk was so patient with me and was excited to explain everything thoroughly. Everyone you see or walk by staff, the greet you and are all so friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. My room was not ready so I upgraded for only $45. This will be my spot every summer but for longer than a day next time. Outside restaurants very close and convenient. The water slides are faster and better than I thought. My daughter and I spent the day in the lazy river. The lighting at night was amazingly beautiful. The scenery of the mountains were gorgeous. I can’t wait until next summer. My daughter and I did not want to leave. We were sad to leave such a beautiful place.

Tia Carmen restaurant was terrible and $1000 for 6 of us, no alcohol and the food was trash. Beware, they even charge you to cut a mini cake. They said $5, but it was $5 per person.

Overall a good experience, though a few things could be improved- Listing allowed me book 5 people (4 adults, 1 teen) in a room that accommodated no more than 4 & staff were unable to resolve to our satisfaction. The rooms were clean (though dated) and housekeeping was great. We had a great view of the pools from balcony, which was appreciated. Overall staff was experience was so-so. A big issue..there are no lifeguards/supervision at pools or lazy river (at least that I could see- no one was enforcing safe practices)- all become BUSY- especially with small, unsupervised children. There's outside bars and walking staff to order drinks from. Parents are drinking, many are not watching their kids. For the safety & enjoyment for all, there needs to be proper lifeguards. Our family ended up leaving the lazy river (as did most other adults and older teens) as it became too chaotic- kids jumping in/out from sides, kicking/splashing, aggressive play, throwing footballs, stacking tubes & was far too busy. We did still have some very enjoyable moments in the lazy river and adult pool. The grounds were clean and very well kept. Finally, the food from the restaurants are desperately lacking- I wouldn't even bother- there are far better local options. While it wasn't all bad, I'm not sure we'd return- for what we received, it was quite pricey. I appreciate that they are welcoming to families and all ages, but we might be looking for a more relaxing, adult driven resort.

Pools were great, but we only found one hot tub, and there were unattended children everywhere, including the hot tub. Worst of all was the parking situation - it’s not included with the hotel stay, and there aren’t in and out privileges, so there were days when we paid three times for parking - and there’s nowhere else to park. A grab and go breakfast for two (from the on-site cafe) was as much as a sit-down. Prices were outrageous for a mediocre product.

Everything was great. The only thing that could use improvement is the dining options. The pool restaurant for lunch was great. The market was good for snacks, but I feel like more options for breakfast would be an improvement. Dinner was ok, but not amazing. There are lots of great restaurants close by though.

The hotel was nice, friendly staff, clean room, impressed how clean the carpet was esp for a hotel, the bed/pillows was comfy. We had a fridge in the room and requested a microwave which was nice. 4 stars instead of 5 - The hotel must’ve had a staffing shortage - we stayed for 4 nights and opted to request housekeeping as needed and the one time we requested housekeeping to clean our room, no one showed up. The property is cash-free so to get change for tips we had to get it from the front desk which always had a line and usually only had one person, maybe two people working if you were lucky so there was always a long wait. Every time we called housekeeping or the valet or the bell desk, no one answered so we always had to call the front desk for help. Room service was ridiculously overpriced, I ordered what was supposed to be a grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup for $18, first it took almost an hour, second the grilled cheese wasn’t a grilled cheese, it was a piece of cheese between two slices of bread ran briefly through a toaster oven so the bread didn’t have a grill or toast feel to it, the cheese was barely melted, the soup was out of a can and both were close to being cold. Food choices on the property was bad so we did a lot of Door Dash or going off the property. After check out we thought we left something behind so we called to inquire, was promised a call back but never received one. B/c it was so clean n nice staff we’ll come back to give it another try.

Hotel was a little pricey. $19 drinks that were not very good. Margaritas with no flavor. Pool area was great!!! Lazy River well worth it. Self parking should have been more reasonable. $32 per night for self parking was a lot- especially during the week when the hotel is empty! Most hotels charge less than $25 to park your own car in the heat.

The hotel was good for a family vacation, if you’re trying to go as a couple getaway look somewhere else. The restaurants in the hotel are not worth it, especially since its very loud and a lot of kids running around, breakfast options are basic and the food tasted aged as if the trays were sitting for a long time this included the yogurt bar having it taste very bitter as if they were adding conservatives to keep its color. DO NOT BOOK THE AMENITIES We booked the spa amenity as a couple just to find out you will be split from your partner and have a separate room per gender. Steam, jacuzzi, and sauna cannot be shared with your partner. These details of you being separated were not mentioned on the website. We were only allowed to be together in the patio with no drinks or snacks offered since we didn’t book the $450+ massage like other couples. We booked the aguachile demo thinking we were gonna taste different types of aguachiles, with other guests, when we found out we were the only ones that booked the demo, we had an aguachiles plate done for us already and having the “chef” talk us about the things he like in my home town. The hotel was good for a family vacation, if you’re trying to go as a couple getaway look somewhere else. The restaurants in the hotel are not worth it, especially since its very loud and a lot of kids running around, breakfast options are basic and the food tasted aged as if the trays were sitting for a long time this included the yogurt bar having it taste very bitter as if they were adding conservatives to keep its color. DO NOT BOOK THE AMENITIES We booked the spa amenity as a couple just to find out you will be split from your partner and have a separate room per gender. Steam, jacuzzi, and sauna cannot be shared with your partner. These details of you being separated were not mentioned on the website. We were only allowed to be together in the patio with no drinks or snacks offered since we didn’t book the $450+ massage like other couples. We booked the aguachile demo thinking we were gonna taste different types of aguachiles, with other guests, when we found out we were the only ones that booked the demo, we had an aguachiles plate done for us already and having the “chef” talk us about the things he like in my home town. We enjoyed our stay at Grand Hyatt Indian Wells. The property is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, and we especially loved the swimming pools. We also appreciated the thoughtful birthday gesture of sending a slice of cake to our room—it was such a lovely touch and made my birthday feel special. However, there were a couple of things that disappointed us. At breakfast, my husband and I ordered a latte and cappuccino and were charged $25 each ($50 total). We were never informed that specialty coffees were extra, let alone that they would cost $25 each. We found this very frustrating and felt the charge was unfair and misleading. At that price, we could have enjoyed several better coffees elsewhere. Guests should be clearly informed of significant additional charges before ordering. We were also surprised that the room had no dresser or drawers for clothing and personal belongings. For a luxury hotel, having proper storage to unpack and organize our things should be a basic amenity. Overall, we loved the property, pools, cleanliness, and birthday gesture, but the unexpected coffee charges and lack of storage took away from what could have been an excellent stay.

We had a wonderful stay very relaxing. We had a pool side view (a little loud but that’s to be expected being pool side) but the once the pool closes it nice and quiet. Are room was bigger than I expected and it was nice and clean and cool with the A/C. Pool side hosts are great we had a great server I want to say his name was Erick he had wonderful customer service. The restaurant was tasty Omar was a great server. My daughter who is 9 had a wonderful time in the pool and enjoyed the pool slides she had a great time and wants to return again. Room services was great we had to call it in as the QR code was not working for me when I tried to order room services we received are order in probably 30 min. We had a great time I will recommend this hotel to everyone if they are planning a trip to Indian wells/palm springs!
