Shaw Chic Oasis: Metro-Accessible 2BR Rowhouse

The property was as advertised. The metro system was very close & Uber was readily available in addition to being affordable compared to my home city. We chose to walk most everywhere we went. Getting our steps in for the day was a huge advantage. It gave us the opportunity to stop and patron the local eateries & bars, enjoying the ambience of the city. Safeway was just a short walk away. We took full advantage of the full kitchen for several of our meals. It was about a 30 minute walk to the National Mall, give or take, depending on what area of the mall you planned to explore for the day. This was my third visit to Washington DC, the city never ceases to provide an excellent time. The host was very responsive & was able to provide us a late check out in addition to storage of our luggage until our late flight. I found the home to be very quiet at night. However, the host did provide a sound machine & earplugs in both bedrooms (we did not feel the need to use these). Air conditioning units were located in bedrooms as well as the living space downstairs. Three suggestions: Add a table & chairs for outdoor eating on the back deck, supplying some laundry detergent & fabric softener for the washer and dryer. We had an excellent time & a comfortable safe environment to stay in. I definitely recommend this home. Noteworthy, there are several stairs to navigate to enter into the home in addition to a staircase accessing the bedrooms & main bath upstairs (no issue for us!).

Great location in the Shaw neighborhood. Near the Mt Vernon metro station was a plus, using the Metro to get around DC is super easy! The owner is very friendly and responsive. We had an internet issue late on Sunday evening that they were super responsive to. I definitely appreciated that! Has all the conveniences of home. Even has a Kuerig! Entryway and street that it’s on were safe. We were a family of four on spring break and this spot worked out perfectly for us! Don’t hesitate to book!
