The Queensberry Hotel

Don't book to stay it was closed spoke to some locals told it's a rip off booked on line payed money but could not find anyone there once again do not book this hotel hoping to get money back if possible on booking line looks nice in photos it's not boarded up

Very neglected - choose somewhere else.

Checked in to room, came out to have a cigarette and was told I was no longer allowed back in to stay. When asked why I was given no reason. They are refusing to give me back my money. I then made alternative arrangements for another hotel, however they had the same manager and again kicked me out for no reason

Queensberry hotel doesn’t exist- it’s a derelict ex pub. The owner took me to a guest house called the Waverley instead which was absolutely horrible. Shared bathroom and toilet which weren’t very clean and the shower had two temperatures, cold or far too hot. Room and bedding not clean. Very noisy. Dumfries hotels all booked up that weekend so I’d no choice but it didn’t feel like a safe place.

Absolute dump of a place above an abandoned bar. Reception was a bloke in a car. How this has been deemed fit for use I dont know. Avoid
