Lovely picturesque hotel in wonderful location, nearby Italian restaurant, short walk to Lyndhurst village high street. Breakfast choices and evening meal. Lovely garden at the front to sit for a drink from the bar. Stairs only to 1st and 2nd floors. Was hot weather so we needed the windows open and road noise did keep us awake. But due to location it can be overlooked. Car parking at from of hotel. Staff friendly and helpful, very responsive.

I rated 4 star as I couldn't rate 4.5. Lovely hotel and we have no complaints that the hotel could do much about. We were on the top floor and the stair treads were very narrow so care was needed when using them. The weather was exceptionally hot and despite the fan supplied, ventilation was not great. The bed was super comfy and the room lovely and well maintained and equipped. Breakfast was excellent quality and the staff Lovely. The proximity to the forest and Motor Museum was excellent. Maybe a warning about the stair tread to the upper floor would be helpful for older or disabled visitors. Thank you for a lovely stay. We may well be back.

Couple of issues with room were dealt with very quickly, If returning would have a room on ground floor as stairs are steep and shallow!Excellent position Free parking,Staff extremely helpful and smartly dressed!
