Elim House

The room was clean and spacious with a four poster bed which was quite comfortable. A small tv that was not smart so no apps. Sash windows overlooking the property entrance which was quite floral. The blinds cut out a great deal of light, so they are good if you don’t want early morning light. The shower/WC room was good although the fan is rather loud(especially if you wake in the night). There is a small light over the sinks mirror but searching in the dark is not great. A wooden wardrobe with plenty of hangers. A fan for warmer nights. Location was out of the town but not too far to walk(up or downhill), so nicely peaceful. Parking on the road is a little hit and miss, I believe there are parking spots but I mistakenly parked at Elim gardens and not Elim house, of which I had a reminder on my windscreen. Mark the host was very nice. All in all a good place to stay for a long weekend.

Great trip no issues, clean, nice helpful

Elim House is well situated off the main street, yet still close enough to easily walk to restaurants and cafes in Bowness or down to Lake Windermere. The staff is friendly and helpful.

No complaints regarding parking as the situation is explained

Rooms clean, Mark made us feel welcome. Good location 10 minutes from the lake 5 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. Good base if you wish to explore more of the towns by bus or car .
