Absolutely hands-down the BEST family reunion experience! The resort is perfection for every age group from little-littles to teens to adults and the elderly. Lots of well-placed stopping spots on the walking/bike path that circles the resort to catch your breath, or have it taken away by a gorgeous sunset. Every single Staff person was friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast every morning at Horizon's, the restaurant on the gorgeous GOTL grounds and ate dinner there twice. The food was great and the wait-staff accommodating and upbeat. We booked a reunion again next year, same time/same place - a unanimous decision by every person in the family! Much gratitude to the wonderful people at GOTL Lodge!! 👏

Very nice resort feel. You don’t feel like your in Ohio at the lake. You feel like your at the ocean with the poolside bar and clean bright pools. The pools are also heated !!! Love the location right on the lake and walking distance to the strip

Nice to have: indoor & outdoor pools. Shuffleboard, bocce ball, and cornhole courts. Gym. Guest laundry. In room Keurig coffeemaker, mini refrigerator. Beautiful grounds and walking paths. Outdoor chat qreas with several fire pits.

It’s a beautiful property right on the lake with lots of amenities. Pool and shuffle board were our favorites. Our A/C kept us up all night, extremely loud. Maybe needed maintenance. Some issues with waiting for our lunch but was resolved. Fabulous desserts. Breakfast buffet exceptional.

Beautiful area with many attractions. Weather was cool, and attempted to use 2 of 3 outdoor propane fire pits; neither would start despite front desk telling us how to start them. Very clean, friendly with awesome indoor pool, hot tub and delicious restraunt.

The lodge is a beautiful property. Wonderful view of the lake. The restaurant has gluten free options. Nice indoor and outdoor pools. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Need a water station for guests, especially during the summer months. Some carpets need replacing, and facility showing signs of aging. Great location and staff, but for the price needs some TLC and basic daily amenities like water (similar to coffee station).

I really enjoyed the location and indoor pool. The whole set up. So nice and right by the lake. Staff also went above and beyond. The only downside was our room. I do feel it could have been cleaner.

Your lodge was awesome. They did ask us if we wanted maid service and I said yes. The beds were only made up the first day and towels changed on a daily basis. Guess I expected the room addressed daily when they asked.

Love the property. It’s beautifully decorated. Perfectly located for visiting area wineries. Amazing views of the lake. Room was good size as was bathroom. Only negative I have is that housekeeping does not make bed, hang new towels or straighten room when you stay multiple days. I expect that service so disappointing not to have it.

Jacque (sp?) was our waitress on Saturday evening at the Lodge restaurant. She had a wonderful personality! She checked on us multiple times throughout our meal, and was extremely friendly.

Very quick easy check in. Hotel staff explained where our cottage would be, enabled us to get waters after gift shop closed, very pleasant and welcoming!

arrived at 2:30 front desk said should be ready soon, at 3:30 was told the same. heck in came and went at 4pm while every one in line after us were getting their rooms, 5:pm came and went siting in lobby with luggage and an 8 year old. Was told he would check to see if room was ready 6pm came and went! I could see our room from lobby no cart cleaning our room had apparently cleaned earlier an dhad been ready for hours, Finally at around 6:15 we got our room, Truly unacceptable, wasted hours sitting in lobby when our room 121 had been done long ago. We have been there many times and coming again in Oct, Hopefully better experience, Comp was not enough for the inconvience and loss of time in lobby while everyone else had gotten their rooms. Very disappointed, Paula Bill

The staff were all kind and helpful. The wine Shuttle was great and our guide/driver, Luke was fun, helpful and knowledgeable. The staff in the restaurant were also friendly and took good care of us.The room was very nice, quiet and clean. First time here and we will be coming back!

The views where amazing. The rooms where nice the only thing preventing me from giving this property 5 stars is the fact that we had a maintenance person walk into our room without knocking while I was getting dressed. This is something to keep in mind especially if you have children with you during your stay. Other than that negative experience it was a nice getaway

Very nice resort feel. You don’t feel like your in Ohio at the lake. You feel like your at the ocean with the poolside bar and clean bright pools. The pools are also heated !!! Love the location right on the lake and walking distance to the strip

Property was clean. Staff was friendly. Restaurant and bar options on the property were good and the food was excellent. Only negative would be comfort of the beds (hard) and the pillows were just ok. Overall, a wonderful trip.

The room and view was beautiful Next time I'll ask for a balcony Gin and tonic was generous but Hotel food was bad, especially breakfast buffet but staff is nice

The grounds were spectacular, amenities were great . the restaurant was delicious yet extremely slow service . Our room was very small and for a “ deluxe” not what I had imagined , however the lake view and location made it worth while

It’s a beautiful property right on the lake with lots of amenities. Pool and shuffle board were our favorites. Our A/C kept us up all night, extremely loud. Maybe needed maintenance. Some issues with waiting for our lunch but was resolved. Fabulous desserts. Breakfast buffet exceptional.

We ate at the restaurant, and I think it could be improved. Service was slow and the chicken was charred around the edges, the gnocchi was undercooked. Service and food in the lounge/bar area was excellent!

The lodge is a beautiful property. Wonderful view of the lake. The restaurant has gluten free options. Nice indoor and outdoor pools. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

My only disappointment was the lack of early check-in. When I called day before to request it, they said could not guarantee it but it was likely. Regular check-in is at 4, I was hoping for 1:00 and was happy to pay for it. Well at 1 they said it had been cleaned but were waiting for the room inspection. Same exact story at 2, except they said it would be just a few more minutes. Same story at 3. Finally we were able to get in at 3:15... So not major complaint but why I didn't give it 5 stars. I would've done 4.5 but not offered on the survey. Note, the biggest reason we wanted in was to put some milk, that was in a cooler in the car but wasn't very cold anymore, in the refrigerator.

I booked a water front cottage but there were none left when I arrived at 8:30pm and they did not compensate me for getting a lesser cottage. They ran out of s’more sticks too. I’ve stayed here before and had a great experience except for a missing hair dryer. I’ll try again maybe.

I have wanted to stay here for years and this place did not disappoint. The room was clean & large with a view of Lake Erie. The restaurant had excellent food. The staff was friendly, helpful & professional. The Lodge is beautiful & there are plenty of amenities.
