Great character pan-abode home

This property has it all! Quiet chalet on a wooded property, incredibly spacious, all our needs were completely met. We brought along our Lab and we were blown away by the TWO outdoor very large enclosures and all the trails across the large property. The two person hot tub was fantastic, the house was clean and very user friendly. 15 minutes up the hill and 10 minutes to groceries/ gas back into Vernon made it the perfect proximity for us. Overall everything was great and we'll be looking to book again. Can't say enough about the place. Wonderful winter vacation for our family!

We loved this place! Very clean, cozy and private. The only thing that would hold us back from visiting again is the cancellation policy. The trip was non-refundable. I found it stressful leading up to the trip knowing that we couldn’t get our money back if we needed to cancel. Otherwise, I would recommend it.

Beautiful setting! Quiet and private, a great place to unwind.

The reasons it did not get 5 star: 1. owner occupied. To their credit all their stuff was removed, but their pictures were everywhere. We took them down carefully as that was a bit awkward. The bathroom had hair on the counter. Not a huge deal, but didn’t feel professionally cleaned on arrival with dirty dishes in the dishwasher too. 2. Lack of matching dishes: at the rate we paid I expected full nice sets to host the family. 3. Insufficient directions on how to run the quirky dishwasher, flu on the fire place and hot tub. Thankfully Silverstar was able to get in touch with the owner and sort it out. Reasons we loved it: 1. Space: lots of space as stated on the website. This made it very dog friendly.. 2. Away in nature: we saw a beautiful dawn and another day a full family of deer. 3. Fire place: nice to roast marshmallows inside on a cool day when there’s a fire ban. 4. Quiet: So quiet with crickets or frogs singing outside at night. 5. Close to Vernon: so close to everything 6. Check in and check out: so easy, no extra cleaning required.
