Whilst the room was relatively clean, there were dead insects stuck on the ceiling, and within the blinds, there were also small scratches and damage to almost every wall in sight, especially on the walkway to the room. It definitely needs some renovations, as I recall this was the issue last time. Outside of the room, the resort was quite nice, but we faced several issues. After checking in, we drove to our room, and the keycards didn't work. I then called the reception with no response, ending up having to drive back. Whilst the lady apologised after rescanning the cards, she mentioned to call next time, which I, of course, said I did. It seems she was busy with another customer. Next was the pool/spa. The spa was freezing cold. I spoke to the reception, who got a guy to check it, and he mentioned it had issues 2 days ago and that they'd call in a maintenance team to fix it. I later found out that was a complete lie and that someone who operated it was on leave, and it appeared no one else knew how. Finally, my other complaint was the jumping pillows. My son loved them and we were their daily - , they are meant to be inflated from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We stayed two nights, and both mornings we had to call to get them inflated. The first morning was at ~9.30 a.m. and the second at 8:30 a.m. Not sure what's happening. The only true positive was the buffet breakfast - the staff was polite and helpful and the food was quite nice.

Average checkin, incorrect charge on credit card when room and breakfast were already paid. Still waiting on refund. Left over opened milk in fridge from previous guests. Stay was comfortable and the amenities were good. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The apartments are comfortable and spacious, although the bad carpet smell (my daughter describes this as “wet cat”) in the hallway and the general age/condition of the furniture let things down a bit. The gym was also inaccessible because the door lock mechanism was malfunctioning, which was a shame because we were only staying one night and wanted to exercise on a rainy day. We didn’t interact with the staff much during the stay but our experience was let down at the end. I thought I had left my wallet in the room and asked someone to check for me but the reception desk kept referring me to housekeeping, then saying that it would take a day for someone to check. I never received a call back even after following up and could not understand why it was not possible for someone at reception to go themselves to check the room for something so important. Better communication and some show of care could have turned this poor experience into a very positive one - a missed opportunity by the staff at Silverwater in my opinion. Overall, if you don’t do anything silly like leave valuables behind or need customer service, you will be fine.

Good location and service. Big disadvantage is the multiple steps leading to the apartments. Really hard to haul heavy luggage up and down the stairs to the apartments.

This was one of the best resort we have stay. The view was amazing. Facing the sea, we could see the sea during the day time and fantastic view during sunset. The resort was near to Philip Island, Inverloch and other beautiful suburbs around it. We have a blast driving around the area and were enjoying the beaches in the surrounding area. The restaurant served breakfast that need to book a day before to get a discount. The resort also has an indoor and outdoor swimming pools. A gym, bar and free wifi. Everything you need for a weekend getaway.

The resort was very good with the exception of a number of functions which they ran on Saturday night with loud music and rowdy party revellers as late as 2am. Suffice to say we had a lousy sleep in that Saturday night. Would recommend you ask the reception in advance if they have any functions planned and find somewhere else to stay if you value your sleep! Otherwise the resort is very well laid out, a great restaurant and bar and the pool and spa were modern and clean

The facilities are good in the resort but the resort needs to be upgraded and renovated. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. The balcony was dirty with cobwebs all over. The doors and some furniture in the bedrooms were peeling off. Outdated resort and is not the luxury apartment as advertised. Not worth the price you pay for the stay.

Beautiful grounds, something for everyone. Close to Phillip island. Beautiful indoor pool and hot tub, too cold to use outdoor pool! Option to have buffet breakfast each morning. Reception staff were friendly. Rooms were fairly clean, although grout in bathroom definitely needs a good clean. No housekeeping though and any additional towels are $2.50. Overall would come back again.

Wasted a day in sorting out Ants issues, with reception staff not bothering about it for a long time. Had a newborn and a 4 year old and needed a room change which was not actioned on priority. Eventually wasted a lot more time in getting another room free from ants the next day.

On arrival we found many dead bugs on the floor in the kitchen. There were multiple cracks on the kitchen floor tiles that made it dangerous to walk bare foot. The kitchen stone bench top had a large crack and big chip next to the sink. The bathroom stone bench top had a large, sharp crack / chip near the handle which was extremely dangerous.The bathtub drain was disgusting and flaking, and we also noticed a disturbing stain on the bedroom ceiling. The toaster shorted the apartment power the first time we used it - a replacement was provided. We were excited to stay at Silverwater's Resort. Unfortunately, the apartment was not safe nor satisfactory and truly did not reflect the substantial $520 day rate. Further to this I did not appreciate the abrupt service we received at the bar Saturday night when ordering coffee, drinks and ice creams. Our group were made to feel as an inconvenience / annoyance during business hours.

Great location with a beautiful outlook. So happy to sit on the verandah, have a cuppa, play games and look at the view. Clean and bright rooms. Would have liked a plate or knife in our room. Nothing in that respect. Double doors a bit awkward to get through. Pool and spa was great.

The two-bedroom apartment is in desperate need of an update. The carpets are very worn, roller blinds were so battered they should be thrown out and couches old, faded and worn. Woodwork in the apartment needs repair and painting. I booked one night for three adults. There was one tube each of shampoo and conditioner and an even smaller tube of body wash, no shower caps and only two face washers. I must say that the apartment was very clean though. The Silverwater advertises a 4-and-a-half-star resort, they charge for that, but the state of this apartment was far from that rating. Very disappointed, will not stay again and will definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed 3 nights in the three-bedroom apartment. There was another apartment above us, and we could hear every single step they took, especially at night when my 4-year-old and 7-year-old were trying to sleep. It was as if the people above us were purposely stomping around. I think the soundproofing between floors was poor. The apartment was very dated, and wear and tear were obvious. Aside from that, we had a lovely time, but for the price and quality, we would look elsewhere next time.

Great room and facilities. The 3 bedroom apartment was very spacious, good sized bedrooms. The buffet breakfast was very expensive for what you good and not very good quality. Definitely would stay again in second floor apartment so we wouldn’t hear the running round and slamming doors from above.

It's a good location and the balcony view was great. But the building was tired and subsidence was evident as the doors did not close properly. Carpets are threadbare and the shower has a serious prostate problem ( barely trickled). We stayed 1 night and wouldn't go back no for the overcharged $700

Room was ok, but the bedroom was comprised of two single beds put together at different heights creating an uneven crack between the two beds, which made our sleep very uncomfortable. Bath had gaps between the wall and the tub rim where silicone is missing. We were celebrating our anniversary, and despite notifying of this to the hotel, no mention not even an acknowledgment was given..at least a handwritten note would’ve been appreciated. Had parking issues as our designated parking was taken by someone else too. I didn’t complain, as these are cultural and behavioural issues that I can’t fix, and didn’t want to ruin our stay as we’re celebrating our special occasion. Looking back, this property is at a beautiful location, but let down by poor maintenance and management.

Silverwater Resort is one of our favourite places to stay. We love the facilities, and the apartments are very nice and clean. There’s a restaurant on site, indoor and outdoor pools, jumping pillow, playground and kids game room. We love this place and we keep coming back. Would recommend it to anyone.

Staff were very friendly and helpful with all questions. I have stayed here a few times and will return again. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and sitting outside with the view of the water made it even better

Stay was comfortable and the amenities were good. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The apartments are comfortable and spacious, although the bad carpet smell (my daughter describes this as “wet cat”) in the hallway and the general age/condition of the furniture let things down a bit. The gym was also inaccessible because the door lock mechanism was malfunctioning, which was a shame because we were only staying one night and wanted to exercise on a rainy day. We didn’t interact with the staff much during the stay but our experience was let down at the end. I thought I had left my wallet in the room and asked someone to check for me but the reception desk kept referring me to housekeeping, then saying that it would take a day for someone to check. I never received a call back even after following up and could not understand why it was not possible for someone at reception to go themselves to check the room for something so important. Better communication and some show of care could have turned this poor experience into a very positive one - a missed opportunity by the staff at Silverwater in my opinion. Overall, if you don’t do anything silly like leave valuables behind or need customer service, you will be fine.

Front desk staff were lovely and welcoming making both check in and checking out easy and quick. Only the one night there but it was a nice stay, the grounds are well kept, and the room was clean and tidy. Great spot for a weekend getaway or extended stay.

Wasted a day in sorting out Ants issues, with reception staff not bothering about it for a long time. Had a newborn and a 4 year old and needed a room change which was not actioned on priority. Eventually wasted a lot more time in getting another room free from ants the next day.

We checked in late at night and we're lucky to be checked in by the lovely Emily from the restaurant. Our room was clean and had a nice balcony for us to watch the sunrise. Buffet breakfast was great and the indoor/outdoor pool was awesome.

Great location with a beautiful outlook. So happy to sit on the verandah, have a cuppa, play games and look at the view. Clean and bright rooms. Would have liked a plate or knife in our room. Nothing in that respect. Double doors a bit awkward to get through. Pool and spa was great.

Great family spot! Indoor and outdoor pool were excellent, as well as the other onsite facilities. The walk into San Remo was too far for us with a pram (in very hot weather) which was a shame, but other than that everything was lovely. Also very decent price for buffet breakfast at the resort restaurant.

We often stay at Silverwater which is very close to San Remo, Bass Coast and Phillip Island. Spacious one bedroom unit with full kitchen facilities. Always looked after by attentive reception and restaurant personnel. All units are self catering and cleaning which suited us. Lovely views from balconies.

For the price, I was a little disappointed. Our room wasn't serviced at all and you had to pay extra if you wanted it to be. For over $300 a night, I would expect at least the bins to be emptied and some fresh body wash. Breakfast was also not included and you had to book and pay the night before and say what time you were going to show up, which when you have a toddler is not always easy to predict. The room itself was pretty good and spacious. The doors to get in were a little awkward and heavy. Our door to the outside balcony was also hard to lock. The location is pretty good with nice views from the restaurant. The facilities (pools, bouncy cushion and playground) are good. Happy hour, $5 wines were great.

Great place, great room, really clean and nice swimming pool. Bar was nice. Didn't try the food. They told me it was busy and I had to reserve and they didn't have a table, but when I went to the bar, the restaurant was half empty. Not sure what was going on there. The stay was great though.

The cocktails were overpriced at $22 a drink and undrinkable. Cocktails and food were half the price, tastier and professionaly made at the westernport pub down the road. The resort property itself is enjoyable and family friendly.

Room is good. I generally book this property so that i can access swimming pool. I have done over 100+ days bookings at this resort in last 2 years. But i had few unusual experiences. On Thursday 14th, i was using pool at 9:30pm, a person from the staff came and asked me to go because he wanted to close, even though pool closing time was 10pm. I though it was unprofessional and insulting. I was given a reason that bookings were less so closing early. Secondly, i have been asking every time to allot room in village green area, they usually used to say that we have noted but even after rooms are underbooked they won't allot room in village green, not sure if there is any reason.
