Ramada by Wyndham York Harrisburg Hershey

It was the worst overnight stay I ever experienced. The hotel has major problems. It stinks of over poured sanitizer due to the carpets being disgustingly soiled. The elevator buttons were dirty and taped over, in addition to the interior smelling of urine and floors and walls being coated with grease, gum,and dirt.

The bathroom, floors, and surfaces were not very clean. The tub did not drain properly. There was no hair dryer in the room. There was no body wash in the dispenser. The elevator was very old and moldy.

Online check-in is a waste of time, the exact same information needed to be provided to the front desk. The breakfast bar had a few ants walking around. Room #231 is situated adjacent to a stairwell where the door needs to be lubricated and door closer set so not to slam shut. This was very disappointing especially since the stairs were very convenient at 12-14 people used them between 11pm and 7am waking me several times throughout the night. Lastly the open electrical box outside which is part of the access control system should be addressed

Room was nice n clean. Rest of the building was horrible. No working ice machines. Couldn’t get tv to work and the heat/ac would not turn on. Staff was very nice. They are remodeling but they better hurry up because it’s very trashy looking.

The place was going through a remodel, so it was very dirty and dusty which was bad for my allergies. Also breakfast was supposed to be included in the stay, but that never happened the whole time I was there, 20+ days. The bathtubs were slippery as there were no mats provided, and the rear and side door security locks were broken.

Breakfast was prettygood,bagel and muffin was alittlestale. Hallwaycarpets stained. Elevator only goes up from se ond floor,from first floor was broken so couldnt go up to sec,third floor. Room was clean except random hair in bathroom on the floor. Bed was good. Good front desk service.

This hotel is under renovation and should not be renting rooms at this stage. Room smelled like marijuana, reception is a table with wires coming from the ceiling and staff was not there when guests arrived to check in, tv in room did not work, housekeeping did not clean the room, no soap provided, and seems like the hotel may have long term residents who hang out outside, did not feel very safe. However, the room was clean and the bed comfortable and quiet.

The motel has greatly improved since I stayed here last. I accidently booked this hotel. I thought I booked the one across the street.I stayed at this property 8 years ago when it was the Super 8. It was so bad I never wanted to stay here again, The renovations lifted the hotel from an extremely bad hotel to what I expect from a major chain's low-end motel. My only issue is the 8 years ago the rear entrances didn't have key card entry and the locks were broken. Eight years later it's still the same. I'm sure this is on the renovations list.

Had to pull around back to park and then walk around the building to get into the office. Being tired, walking inside it was welcoming yet like walking into a 1 star motel. Seemed like it was renovated, but used someone cheap and just seemed unfinished. Got my card key and went to the room. Walking the hallways seem dingy. The elevator looks like it was from the 60's half ass remodeled. Was an odor throughout the building like it was trying to hide a bad odor, just poorly cleaning solition or no actual cleaning products. The bedroom was decent, mini fridge and microwave in unit which would be nice if needed. Crashed pretty quick, the bed was actually very nice in my opinion, but the pillows were terrible. Woke in the morning and went to go shower, but decided not too cause there was streak marks all over the wall, looked disgusting and just used the tiolet to do my business amd packed up. Missed out on breakfast cause i slept in till 9, when they stop serving it supposedly, so i cant add any review to that. Yet again walking the halls leaving it all just seemed dirty. Elevator floor looked horrible. Front desk walls looked like new painting is needed badly. For something that looks like it was renovated, was not taken care of and just allowed to ho downhill for a cheap $ place ro stay.

AC did not work. Toilet seat ready to fall off. Elevator floor old and worn through in places.

The overall smell of the hotel was not pleasant, they need to improve it. Need to renovate the elevator. There was 2 cockroaches when we enter our room, meaning its not clean and the pillows was not a pillows it's a throw pillow. The staff at the reception was fine. They need to work hard to improve the cleanliness and smell of Ramada. As of now i cannot recommend it.

Windows dirty, carpet in hall dirty, floor in room, dirty, bath tube not clean had hair and spots. Elevator is very sketchy. Overall the hotel could use a deep cleaning.

It was horrible. When we got there, the floors were dirty and we found a cockroach in one of the rooms, but it was too late in the evening to do anything else so we stayed and left the second day and are still waiting on a refund.

Staff was a bit upset over my service dog to start off the trip. Room was not very clean. Floor looked like it had not been swept and moped it was dirty. There were childrens stickers all over the fridge. Upon inspecting the bed (I always check the matress) I found a flosser between the layers of sheets. Beware that they will charge you $100 at check in that they will refund a few days later vs putting a hold on your account like other hotels. Water pressure was nice and the water nice and hot in the shower.

Poor lighting made the building hard to see from the road. My room had newer furnishings but there was a dirty washcloth in the shower, room had not been vacuumed by evidence of the dead insects on the floor, walls had weird smears and stains on them, and worst of all when I pulled back the comforter, I could still see the wrinkled outline of the last person to sleep in my bed in the sheets. So someone had just made made the bed without changing the sheets. It was 1 in the morning so I just slept on top rather than leaving. Staff was nice enough but I would not ever stay there again.

Lobby and building was clean, although there was a slight damp smell throughout the building, it was more present on the second floor where our room was. In our room there was a damp smell and the sheets weren't dry all the way and I found a few small hairs in the bed. The room was very clean. The bathroom was clean, but there were dirty fingerprints on the wall that I wiped off with a wet washcloth and there were rust spots around the shower faucet. The safety latch on the inside of the door was missing. The breakfast was well serviced and the staff was super nice and sweet. The restaurant selection near the hotel is not that great, so you will need to drive to the nicer restaurants. All in all our stay was good and we slept well.

The doors do not lock from the inside and there is a gap underneath the door that you hear evwrything. It didn't help that a family

Pleasantly surprised, at first glance I thought, uhoh, this hotel looks a bit ragged but it turns out that the room was nice and clean and recently renovated. I asked at the front desk and the clerk to me they were renovating the rooms first and the lobby and corridors would be done last. That makes sense as did the distinct odor of latex paint. The check-in clerk was a bit of a flat liner but we go in quite late and was thankful he was even there. The clerk at check out was lovely friendly and cared about our stay. She also explained about the renovation. She asked me to give a good review. I think I did.

TV words was in spanish and the remote didn't work properly. Couldn't raise the volume on the TV and all the worded information was in Spanish.

Hotel was extremely run down and had an odd and slightly unpleasant odor in the hallways and elevator. Room was dingy and appeared slightly dirty especially on sink and in shower. Bed was very comfortable. Linens on bed and in bathroom had a few stains but looked fairly clean. Room was small but cozy. Staff was pleasant but extremely hard to understand. I would not recommend doing express checkin as they don’t ask for any of that information anyway. Was told that early check in was 35$ and was charged 35 initially but ended up being charged a second 15$ fee to equal $50 total. There is a 100$ deposit on top of cost due at check in that takes a few days to be refunded. Overall not terrible but not great. Would definitely recommend bringing Clorox wipes to give room a quick wipe down if you are particular about cleanliness.

The property has a clean modern interior. The rooms are a modern minimalist style which is refreshing. The elevator is concerning as it is unclean, perhaps renovation occurring? The stairwell needs to be cleaned since it is more convenient to use versus the elevator. Loved the Dove products for body wash, hair shampoo, hair conditioner, hand wash, and lotion. Breakfast was a hit with waffles you can make, hot coffee, and sausage, egg, and cheese croissant ready made. The hotel desk was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Requests for more hand soap, clean towels, and cleaning of drain in the room were promptly taken care of. I would go back! Oh, some flowers outside would be a lovely touch!

The building is old but the room was recently renovated, which is nice. They don’t have cables. They have a smart TV instead. It might be good for younger generations but it was very confusing for us. The motel is near major highways. It is a convenient location but our room was very noisy with traffic, like motorcycles and trucks. If i ever come back, I would ask for a room in the backside that doesn’t face the big road. And I would bring earplugs.

It would have been a good stay if there wasn't a whole wrestling team staying there. They were up until late at night making a lot of noise. Looks like they had a party in the eating area and then in the morning they had an early start and everyone was extremely loud starting at 6am. You can hear everything. A lot of little kids.

I had a wonderful stay at the Ramada Hotel, and I want to especially highlight the exceptional service provided by the staff. Everyone I encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. From the front desk to housekeeping, they went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. Their friendly attitude and attention to detail truly made a difference—thank you for the outstanding hospitality!

Staff is wonderful. Good breakfast. Clean rooms. Def staying again.

The doors to the rooms had big gaps which made it where you can hear someone talking clear as day. Don’t book with the reserve now pay later, they will charge your card for all that you boon as soon as you get a confirmation number even though you want to pay at the hotel, then they will blame Expedia for it. Better to book somewhere else.

Not sure how a super 8 motel can be Ramada !!?? 1-It was not mentioned that the hotel is under renovation. 2-no room service. 3- corridors are very dirty and smelly. 4- breakfast was very limited in options and some days items were missing. 5-staff are not friendly. 6- I think I'm owed are refund.

Arrived, the lobby was non existent - the floors uneven and covered in plastic sheeting, tools, paint cans, etc. The smell of urine was almost overpowering. Staff then tried to charge an extra hundred dollars for check-in. I understand incidentals- but have never had someone request CASH for this?!. Family and I left and went to a hotel across town. Do not recommend.

Waited at front desk 20 minutes for someone to show up

I never leave a total bad review of places we stay and this is a first. Not a good stay. I think Ramada needs to rethink who owns/runs this hotel. Because its bringing their brand name down. It all started with check in. When we and other people were trying to check in the man working the counter seemed annoyed that we were taking him away from his personal phone call conversation. He proceeded to try and talk on the phone while checking us in until he got annoyed enough and hung up and grumbled something I couldn't make out what he said. Once we got through that we got to our room for only the key card not work. Went back downstairs and he was annoyed again because he had to redo his work with the card and like it was my problem. Finally got into the room, unpacked and settled in and then to find out the ac wasn't working right. The room was cool enough during the night and didn't want to go through talking to the attendant to get a new room. The room itself was ok at best. The best thing about it was the bed and pillows. Floor was dirty enough that made our socks black. Room needs to be thoroughly cleaned. The call button on the wall for the elevator was taped to the wall and looks like it had been for some time. Once the door opened a big chunk of the linoleum was missing and floor looked to not have been cleaned for years. I would never suggest anyone ever stay here, ever. If it wasn't for being tired and just wanting to get some sleep I would've found somewhere else.

Should have gone somewhere else but was only a one night stay. Floors were sinking in and pulling up. Bed sheets had stains. Breakfast was bad, the syrup had a sour taste. Would definitely not recommend

Hotel was under construction. No coffe in room or in hotel at all. Bathroom was filthy the advertised breakfast was unavailable. There wasn’t even an ice machine for ice

The place was being renovated from a Super 8 to a Ramada. There was trash piles in the breakfast area, the breakfast bar was uncared for and the noise and weed odor was uncomfortable

Hotel not as shown in pictures. Bare wood floors in halls and lobby. Not serving breakfast despite offering on website. Front desk was rude, we payed for a king size bed and she kept trying to have us take a twin queen room cause its only $10 more. Then about 1am the fire alarm went off due to the maintenance crew and blamed guests staying there.
