Fresh popcorn in the lobby is a real nice touch! Staff were really friendly. I'd hate to rate this place too high otherwise they might raise their rates LOL. NOTE: Game Room/Gym/Sauna is a part of the adjoining apartment complex...not within the hotel itself...same with the pool and hot tub (both out of service during our stay but looked nice). Ask for the key when checking in.

The room DID not match the property pics. Our room smelled musty and had a bunch of flies in it. It felt like we were in a basement. It honestly felt like we were in a horror film. We left as soon as we checked in.

The room smelled very musty and over baring bad air freshener. The carpeting was dirty and very worn. The pillows were horrible. The mattress had a plastic cover on it that made sleeping very uncomfortable. The so called breakfast was just a collection of Costco bar and package oatmeal.

The hotel is conveniently located but the freeway was loud starting 5 am. The carpet in the room was stinky and way too old - needs replacement asap. The sheets, pillows, and blankets are worn out and need replacement. Other than that, it was good but too expensive for $158/night.

Room was clean and nice a little older but well kept. The bed and the pillows were like rocks my hip kept falling asleep while sleeping on my side and the pillows were all flat a very hard I was there for multiple nights no went to the store and bought a pillow they were that bad.

THE PLUS-great rates, very friendly staff in person and on phone, sparkly clean room with new(ish) furnishing which included comfy dual easy chairs and large desk, room faced a lovely relaxing courtyard with fountain (yes like the promo pics) that several found nice place to sit out in and enjoy in the evening. There is a restaurant on site but I did not use so can't review. THE MINUS-wanted to give 5 stars but A/c worked too well-fan never turned off only solution was to turn it off completely, only half of listed tv stations were available and internet very hard to bring up. was told might be signals interrupted due to smoke for both issues. Also a bit of a trick getting into their driveway from the street However love this place. It will definitely be my go to.

Our part of the motel had a nice courtyard where people relaxed, stretched, & worked on their laptops. Plenty of storage- drawers & closet in the room. Liked that it had two upholstered chairs in the room as well as an office chair. Didn't care for the pillows. I'm 6'4" and the bathroom presented some issues. The toilet is too low and installed too close to the wall. The shower head was approx. 5' tall (fixable).

Very poor customer service here. Had a one night reservation made through Hotels.com. Checked in on the night I was supposed to arrive signed and paid for my one night reservation, checked out as scheduled. When I arrived home the next day I discovered I had been charged a second time for a second night, due to an error made by hotels.com. I called immediately upon discovering this error only to be told to got to hotels.com. The chatbots at hotels.com referred me back to the Village Inn. When I spoke to them a second time the clerk told me that the person who checked me in LIED and said they confirmed a second night. This is absolutely not true as i would have spoken up then. I signed for, was charged and paid for the one night I reserved, because of their antiquated systems I was not provided a receipt for my stay (so I can't disprove their claim with my bank) nor has the deposit been refunded. Both times I called staff was dismissive and rude. Essentially I paid $600 for one night in a dirty room that smelled vaguely of smoke and mildew, had uncomfortable beds with not enough covers, paper thin walls, zero amenities. Quite frankly a terrible experience overall.

The rooms are dated and cheap. The bed was horrible. The biggest problem is their staff and attitude... And not everyone. Frank was very personable. My first and last interactions were far from friendly and since they were two different people, I'm guessing it's a management and/or ownership issue. My first interaction was so bad that I cancelled past of my stay to go somewhere else. Basically the same price but wildly nicer. There are far better options in the area. I recommend to stay steer clear of Village Inn and stay somewhere nicer. I won't be returning.

When I came into the lobby to check in, I was completely frazzled and freaked out thanks to an incident on the I-5. I was shaky, and probably a little short with the individual who checked me in. He was so incredibly kind, walking me through the property and check in process, offered me water, a place to sit and decompress, and anything else. I can’t stress the service of this place. The room itself was nice - tidy, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. You can tell the property has been updated fairly recently, and it shows. The property is clean, and well maintained. Everything was perfect. I would absolutely, without a doubt, stay here any time I need to stop in Springfield.

Convenient Asian restaurant on property, friendly front staff. Property shows some wear and tear but for budget conscious, this is a good option. Just be aware that you enter right after the light or you will have to do a big U-turn. I would book again.

Great stay. The only down side is the room we were in this time. It faces the public street the traffic especially the large trucks going by keep me up a bit and woke me up early in the morning. Been here before and will use again. Staff is friendly. I will request an inside court facing unit to not hear the traffic.

This was the perfect place for my son and I. We came into town for an Oregon Ducks game and I couldn't have asked for a better location. It's right next to the on and off ramps to get to the stadium about 5 miles down the road. The room was clean and the area was nice. Right near several restaurants. We didn't have to drive more than a mile to get food. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be booking this one again.

This was the perfect place for my son and I. We came into town for an Oregon Ducks game and I couldn't have asked for a better location. Front desk Frank was the best at check in! He was friendly, efficient, and funny. The hotel has a great location in the middle of lots of restaurants and shopping. Easy to get in and out of. Good, safe parking. The rooms are large and well equipped. Bedrooms and sinks are upgraded and nice. The bathrooms are nearing their age out and could use some TLC/remodeling. Overall a great place to stay.

The lady at the desk was very helpful. The rooms were good, very comfortable beds, and surprisingly plush towels. The Asian restaurant across the parking lot provided a pleasant Chinese dinner. It suited us down to the ground.

A little road noise, a little difficult to get in/out due to traffic, weak internet.... but surprisingly a nice little tucked away place to stay. I was here for 3 nights and it provided me everything I needed (except breakfast, coffee and instant oatmeal doesn't cut it.)

I thought this place was a good value for the price. I stayed for one night and didn’t have any issues, aside from the bed being a little too firm for me. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. The room included a microwave and a refrigerator, which was a great convenience. There’s also a nice Chinese restaurant in the parking lot, which was a bonus. I would stay here again.

First time staying here, was very happy with the hotel. We were in town for the Oregon high school state track meet. Hayward Field is about 10 - 15 minutes away and it's easy to get there. It is an older facility, but they've done a great job maintaining it. When we checked in, Frank was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. My Father has dementia and often repeats questions and Frank handled it with ease and was great with my Dad. While they didn't have breakfast (just didn't have a space for it) they had coffee, tea and water available as well as some granola bars. They even had a paper most mornings. Will stay there next time I need to be in Eugene/Springfield area! There is a Asian restaurant onsite and a Wendy's across the street. There is also a Winco & Walmart near by. It's easy access to I-5 and there was a lot of parking.

I miss the continental breakfast that used to be there. Coffee and a granola bar is a bit different from years past. Also still trying to get used to not having a cleaning crew come in daily. Nice room other than that

Staff at check in was extremely friendly and helpful. The property itself is old and could be cleaner. Carpet had stains and we found some hair in the bed. We had no other major issues thougt, it was quiet and the bed was relatively comfortable. But I dont think I would stay here again.

The property is a little dated, but the staff was very friendly and ready to help in any way. The rooms were clean and everything worked well (if you want a hot shower they had plenty of hot water and it was ready instantly). Check in and out was easy - no hassle.
