Lancemore Milawa

Beautiful location. Advertised amentities and extended checkin times didn't line up with what was actually offered.

A beautiful comfortable place to relax amongst the picturesque vineyards.. Rooms large and clean and staff helpful. Pool area needs an upgrade with some new umbrellas that have UV protection.

Breakfast menu was great. Gardens immaculate.

The hotel has been neglected and a lot of the garden is overgrown. All of the balconies are shared so there is no privacy at all. The room itself was nice. The food was ok but most of the meals were served like warm. The pictures definitely make it look better than it is and for $600 a night (Boxing Day) we expected a lot more.

Incredible value with a very nice 3 course dinner and breakfast included in the deal. Property is in quiet and pretty surroundings. Spacious! With lounge areas looking across the vineyards. Would recommend it to anyone

Very nice stay, large room, nice balcony, comfy bed and beautiful surroundings especially from the restaurant and lounge looking out to the vines. Short work to Milawa Pub, Brown Brothers, short drive to Oxley, Winton, Benalla, Wangaratta.

The warm and friendly welcome received from Serena at check-in was much appreciated after receiving a 'not so warmly greeting' at our previous B&B accommodation. Thank you, Serena! Room - Spotlessly clean and quiet! Amenities - The bathrobe, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and soap provided were all of a high quality! Bed & Bed Linen - The bed was very comfortable for us and the bed linen was also of very good quantity. In Room Mini Bar & Snacks - A great variety provided and, once again, good brands supplied. Reading materials, i.e. Travel magazine and other informative brochures and magazines were also provided. Ironing board, iron, hair dryer, kettle, luggage rest and a small, but decent fridge, was standard inclusion in all rooms. PS - Fridge being larger than the average tiny bar fridge provided in all hotels. A surprising and much appreciated inclusion was a 'Martini package', including a Stainless steel shaker, martini glasses, alcohol and mixers for a night of entertainment! Overall, service was impeccable! An extra special thanks to Serena and Lydia for making our one night stay there a most memorable one. Your friendly, obliging and attentative qualities were certainly noticed and much appreciated! You are both an asset to The Lancemore Hotel! We stayed at Lancemore Milawa during our wedding weekend. It was absolutely divine from the first moments we stepped into the lobby. Such a calming atmosphere, staff were exceptional and the facilities felt luxurious. You definitely feel like you’re getting spoilt 😊 Really looking forward to staying there again and worth every penny!

Lancemore is in a beautiful place with spectacular views of Brown Brothers Winery, especially at sunset. Fabulous breakfast and an easy stroll to Milawa Pub and Ava restaurant as well as the winery. After one night when our toilet stopped working we were immediately moved to another room for the remainder of our stay.

Property located in front of a winery. Big room given to us. However, VIP access was not provided after two times of asking the front desk. Room was clean. Would love to stay again. Breakfast was average.

We decided to treat ourselves for our anniversary and from the moment we arrived we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was spacious, welcoming and spotless. The included breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Thank you for making our celebration one to remember we will definitely back

Quiet location close to everything in Milawa. The restaurant was ok, not many options if you have food allergies. Breakfast was buffet but you ordered off a menu, so not buffet…? Again no gluten free options other than GF toast. The place has enormous potential & is nice & neat & beautiful views, just needs some fine tuning, especially for the price.

The property was very nice however the television was not working and the plug in the sink was not functional.

The biggest concern with this property is the soundproofing. We stayed for two nights, and both nights we had trouble sleeping because we could hear all the voices and TVs from the neighbouring rooms. The soundproofing is very poor, and the management needs to address and fix this issue.

We drove to Milawa specifically so we could stay at this wonderful hotel...and it did not disappoint! The room was beautiful - all the luxiourious touches you'd hope for. Bed was very comfortable. Everything was exactly like the photos. Amazing breakfast too. Would love to stay here again.

Had a great vibe from when we arrived Sarina made you feel very welcome, is in a great location and dining was very good.

I organised a one night stay over the weekend for my partners birthday. I requested a cheese platter upon arrival along with a bottle of sparkling be delivered to the room upon arrival. The cheese was in the fridge (we weren’t told) so I had to follow up with reception. There was also no cutlery with the cheese for us to use. My partner had to go downstairs and grab a knife. No ice bucket for the wine.. so it was room temperature. Not the welcoming or surprise I wanted for my partner. Further I also requested a birthday candle for my partners dessert at dinner in the hotel restaurant (prior to making the booking) hotel staff confirmed via email this would be accommodated. The hotel failed to deliver. The service at reception was really bad no one at reception and when I rang the mobile number the lady was seemed upset because I bothered her. Overall not the stay I was hoping for.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We stayed on the sunset side and had tea on the balcony in the morning. If you are lucky you can see the hot air balloons gliding over the vines before going higher in the sky. We had dinner and breakfast at the accommodation and both were excellent. The staff were warm and inviting.

Excellent quiet property in a peaceful & scenic rural location. Such a shame the front desk person was so obviously & deliberately unfriendly & unhelpful. On the 3 occasions we interacted I was the only guest at her desk but she refused to lift her eyes from her screen or acknowledge me until I had stood in front of her for quite an embarrassingly long time. Asked a simple question she should have known about a local attraction, she told me to google it. All other staff lovely & welcoming.

Lancemore Milawa is a fantastic Boutique hotel, perfect for a little weekend getaway. It is within walking distance to some beautiful wineries, Walkabout Apiaries, Milawa Mustard shop, and other gorgeous stores ready to be explored. If you are staying here, definitely make a reservation at Restaurant Merlot. The food is exquisite and the service impeccable. The property does not have a lift, but as it is only a one story property, you won't be walking up many staircases. Guarantee that you will be well looked after if you stay here.

Amazing stay!! In such a great location, winery across the road and local pub etc in ready walking distance 3mins away. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was fantastic.

The meal we had in the restaurant was absolutely superb. The ambience is very relaxing. We will certainly be back.

Beautiful hotel on wonderful grounds unfortunately marred by an average restaurant charging high prices. Only options are 2 or 3 courses, and of the numerous things we tasted the food was dry, bland and even the poached eggs were cooked right through. This wouldn’t be that big of a deal if there was plenty of other food around, but it’s a tiny town with very limited options. Fix that and it’s a wonderful place.
