We were in town for a volleyball tournament in Whitewater. The hotel was a great option for us for a one night stay. Very clean and comfortable. Hot tub was a bit on the cool side. Otherwise all was good.

The stairs needed vacuuming!! The pool and hot tub was great. The breakfast was acceptable. There was no elevator so a handicapped person would not be able to access the 2nd floor.

The outside was in poor repair. Broken windows and holes in screens. Weeds growing in parking lot and around buildings. Siding needs a face lift. Inside was clean. I feel the weekend rates were out of line for the area. But the staff was friendly and housekeeping kept us in towels.

Snow and ice in parking lot not every where but enough and having a bad leg i wish i could have been on the first floor not the second but other than that it was alright

For the price, this hotel was a good value. There was some delayed maintenance, but it was clean, quiet, the staff was pleasant and attentive and it was conveniently-located. The pool and hot tub were clean, as well.

The hotel was convenient to get to the highway and to the side roads into nearby towns. The people were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and clean. The hotel is showing a little wear and tear (the tub showed minor damage, and the towels and linens looked a bit worn). The pool area was clean and well-maintained (we spent more time at the pool than we planned). The hotel supplied towels in the pool area, but they were on the small side (think between hand towel and bath towel size). The breakfast was pretty standard ( i.e., coffee, juice, egg discs, sausage, cereal, white bread, white bagels, and generic yogurt). No one in our party liked the egg discs. The coffee was decent (only artificial creamer was available). Half of our party preferred to go to the McDonald's next door to grab breakfast. So there are other options if you do not want what the hotel has to offer. We would stay there again if we were in the area

No elevator, rooms were not ready at 3 pm check in time, pool was not heated.

The reason we chose this place over other choices was because it has a whirlpool hot tub. After we checked in and got our room we were told that the hot tub was not working. Major disappointment! It was not heating and the front desk couldn't tell us when they had anyone coming to look at it. When we checked out it was still "out of order".

The pool water temperature was warm, which was a total surprise, as other pool water temperatures were cold. The breakfast is a low-scale economical breakfast for the owner, I understand his motive behind his thinking however it will be an incentive for future customers if waffles, quality eggs and bacon were also options along more juices besides orange and apple juice

Our room was DIRTY! Not even nitpicking. It was dirty. Shampoo and conditioner from previous guests left in shower. Hair and nasty all over the bathroom floor. The 1st time use the toilet, i sat on something wet. So clearly not properly cleaned. Our full length mirror has splatter marks all over it. I did check if it was stained and no, it was just not cleaned. The blanket cover on the bed was visibly stained, whether it was actually dirty, i dont know. But thats gross. Over all i didnt feel clean in there because if you miss obvious dirty areas what not so dirty areas are you missing. Also, we recieved a check out text, which asks us to let them know when we'd be leaving. I replied to the text that we would be leaving at 11:15am. At 10:52am (check out is at 11am to begin with) a lady knock and 1 sec later i hear her coming into our room. Not even enough time to cross the room to answer the door. My husband was in the shower so it was hard to hear her little knock. That unacceptable! We needed a cheap place for date night so that why we were there to begin with. We will look elsewhere next time.

Room was supposed to be non smoking but reeked of smoke. Burn holes in bed spread. Went to the store and bought room spray to try to get rid of odors. Breakfast was very limited and not always ready in time. Looked more like toy food. No fruit options. Stayed for 5 nights and housekeeping came in once. Took towels & trash. Didn’t restock towels or toilet paper. Didn’t change sheets or even make the bed. I had to go to desk and get room supplies multiple times. Most definitely WONT be back!

Shower had a damaged tub, curtain rod where it met the was was all damaged and looked terrible, bathroom needed a good painting and could use a new shower stall. Stains all over rug in room walls needed patching and a good painting. We got in the room and the last person who was in room their garbage was left behing and food crumbs and other dirt was on rug. Toilet paper wasn't replaced just a new roll on top of Toilet. Pool area needs a deep cleaning among other areas.

Check in was excellent. Even carried some of our luggage to the room. Room was musty smelling, something was left on the carpet. Dirty underwear found in a drawer. Toilet stool needs a new wax ring as the toilet rocks. Also, the breakfast was not up too what we have normally seen at motels.

From the second we walked in there was an odd order. The hotel room it self instantly smelled like mold. Stains on the carpet and on the night stands. Stains on the ceiling that looked like pee. The bed and sheets under the covers were absolutely disgusting. Upon more looking around the room we found black mold in multiple locations. The carpet pulled up in the corners and there was black mold under the carpet. The walls were damp. Even with the windows open we still struggled to sleep. Very disappointed with our stay here.

The room smelled bad. I could not pinpoint what kindnof smell it was, not quite musty, not quite old cigarettes, not quite old food... I was able to mask it with the classic trick of making a cup of the inroom coffee. Unrelated, there was feces on the rim of the toilet and when i went to tell the staff, there was no one at the front desk. Luckily, for my job i travel with rubber gloves and was able to clean it myself safely, but YUCK! And finally, the breakfast was egregiously bad. No need to go into all the reasons why, but I'll just suggest that a more trickedmout coffee station and a few muffins would be a much better option.

Stayed in room 108, the room had an unbearable musty smell. Dropped off our luggage and opened the windows, thinking the smell would dissipate while we were at a concert, however, the smell was just as bad when we got back 8 hours later. We were exhausted and decided to tough it out and to get a few hours of sleep before traveling but pulled back the sheets and there was a big yellow stain right in the middle. Also, noticed the chair in the corner had a large stain on one arm rest. Wish we would have taken a closer look at the room or said something about the smell when we first checked in but we were in a rush. Ended up packing and leaving at 1:30am to head home instead of staying in the room. Was very surprised at the condition of this room since the reviews of the hotel paint a different picture.

This hotel was so dirty. Our bathroom had hair all over the floor, shoved in the corner. The room was so damp, I had to use my rescue inhaler 2x, and I never use it. I honestly have no clue who gave this hotel an 8.8 rating…?

Affordable yes, not very clean. Smells very damp and rooms need a thorough cleaning. Bathroom floor wasn’t properly cleaned before our stay, wet towels picked up excessive amount of dirt and hair off of floor. Shower curtain was moldy and heavily stained. Your location needs to have some training in the housekeeping dept.

The room I had smelled bad. The AC smelled like someone urinated into it. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab. They finally agreed to move me to a different room. Smelled better but bed was still very firm. Morning breakfast area by the coffee was a mess.

The room had a very musty smell and was stuffy, however it was a nice large size. One of the lights above the bathroom sink kept blinking on and off. Some of the guests were very loud until about midnight.

Everything was fantastic. The only issue was the smoke alarm that was going off when we got there. They thought they took care of it but at 5a.m. started going off once again for the remainder of the night.

The bed was comfy.

In no way was this place bad. One thing really ticked me off though. Looking at rooms for just the two of us. Normal King rooms are sold out. Could have got two queens but for $12 more can get a King Suite with a fireplace. Did we need one no but why not? Don’t need two beds. Then of course the fireplace doesn’t work. Asked why and were told when the hotel changed hands they turned them all off. Well then don’t advertise it as a suite with fireplace! Room had a very weird layout. Looked like it was redone and things removed or rearranged. Pretty poor excuse for a suite. Stayed in much nicer. We’re gonna open the window and just let the night air in but screen was all bent and who knows what would enter while it’s open. Bed was comfy and overall it was a perfectly fine stay. Next time I’d probably pick something the next town over. Jefferson was a nice place just not this hotel til it gets its s**t togethet.

Clerk was very helpful letting me check in early. Room was very spacious, bed was really comfortable. Pool and hot tub looked well maintained but unfortunately wasnt able to use it due to my time restraints. Breakfast was pretty normal.

The property was pretty good overall. We swam and had a good breakfast. Beds were pretty comfortable. We were not able to use the internet. They said they were at full capacity and that was why the internet wasn’t working. Honestly, you should have an internet connection that can handle the volume of customers you have. Was disappointed that it was advertised to have internet but we were not able to connect to it.

The room was close to a road where many semi trucks idled all night long. The constant noise of these semis made it difficult to sleep. The heater was stuck at 64 degrees, which felt chilly through the night. There was no remote in the room for the TV, though the front desk had a spare. I was told the remotes are stolen regularly.

It was easy to get in and settled. Quiet.

The evening clerk who checked me in needs an attitude adjustment. He was rude. The morning clerk was totally opposite. Just an fyi for you

We had a wonderful stay! My other half got there before me, they were so helpful get him checked in. We ended up losing our keys to our room, they were so helpful getting us a replacement. Washer and Dryer worked great, nice hot shower, and breakfast was good, pancakes were yummy! Definitely will be back if ever in the area again!

just now on G Google Sam has so much hostility towards his guests - it smelled so good in there like dinner time & Sam asked if I would like to try some as he was cooking in back when I checked out today. I felt right at home and his kind words I needed more than he would even know. Definitely a place to stop for a good nights rest and maybe just maybe a taste of goodness that Sam whips up in the back! I even got a late check out with no issues - what that don't happen often. Loved my stay thank you for all the kindness shown To me all the way from Texas :)

No frills, cheap hotel. No one at desk most of time….. had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to show up at front desk to check in…. And she had difficulty understanding English ( when asking about coffee).

Staff rude and not helpful as we sought to change a mistake we had made to our reservation. While they needed to refer us to hotels.com, they did so in a rude and unprofessional matter. When we called back to ask them to hold our room although we wouldn't be using the first night's reservation, they were rude and unhelpful again. And when we arrived to a room they said had been set aside for us since the day before, it was not clean/made up. (This was evidenlty the afternoon manager, a female. The younger muscled male day staff was helpful.)

The check-in lady was not friendly as we were standing there and she struggled with the computer, a guest had called down about the hot water and she was so rude and slammed the phone down on them. I almost didn’t want to check in. I did not look at the pool or the hot tub because we did not have time. There were pillows that had stains on them, and there was some sort of material on our toilet that I clean myself. In this area would not stay here again there are better choices.

I haven't seen this kind of service even in a 5 star hotel. The entire staff was extremely accomodating and welcoming. They went above and beyond to accommodate us as there were a lot of unforseen changes on our part. They remained flexing and super helpful. Highly recommend this place!

I asked for a plunger as my disabled son had clogged the toilet. I was put off and told someone would be there in 45 minutes. Nobody came. 12 hours later, not being able to flush the toilet, I had to ask front desk again when we went for breakfast. He did proceed to sit a plunger at the door of my room. I plunged the toilet myself, put it back in the bag it came in and set it at the door. My son and I left for the Special Olympics state track meet he was competing in. When we got back in the evening the plunger was still sitting there. Housekeeping never touched it.

Nice hotel, great staff.

Staff wasnt very forthcoming or helpful. I had noticed that a few items were left in the room that i was in literally right after checking out. They wouldnt do anything about it. They wouldnt open the door with me to grab the items i had forgotten. I can see if it was how many days later but this was literally 5 mins after. Staff had blazing red eyes as if they were under the influence. Will never go back!

Not enough cameras. Food was cold. Very loud next to a trucking company. Our door didn’t shut very well. We had to pull it shut. The grounds had garbage around and I didn’t feel safe. I would not stay here again. Our room was clean but this is not a 8.0 rating.

It is not near any highway. If you like fun country roads, this is for you Clean and great staff

Easy access, clean, close to shopping and food options

Very nice location and quiet.

Well-maintained, clean, and with all the amenities one could ever need! Very friendly and helpful check-in staff, and location has easy access yet has quiet and safe vibe to it. I definitely recommend and will make this place my first choice if and when I am in the area again!

On our trips to the Fireside theater this hotel is the nearest. The service became poorer and the property was dated and run down. Because of the proximity to the theater, we gave it a last try. The most helpful gentleman at the desk saved us from a lot of expense due to a reservation mixup. The interior of the building was a great renovation with very nice bedding. It was very clean and the breakfast had a nice variety. We will definitely be back!

In general very good, the sink faucet in the room had the hot and cold hoses hooked up backwards. The pancake machine in the breakfast room ate the pancakes . Very comfortable bed for a good night sleep, and that is what I was there for.

Good room with comfortable beds. good value for the money. only bad.......no milk for my cereal in the morning!!!

Clean hotel. Breakfast was horrible and coffee was cold.

This was our 3rd or 4th time staying here as we have an annual club function every year. The hotel is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The ice machine was out of order which was inconvenient since I drink ice water all day. The hot tub was nice and the free breakfast was adequate, sausage links and egg patties, bagels, no cream cheese tho, and bread to make toast, with butter, peanut butter and jelly Cereal and milk, juice muffins mini donuts, yogurt. Coffee and tea in the lobby as well. Front desk staff are friendly. We will be back again next year.

Room was ok. Slight odor in room. Bed was comfortable, a/c was quiet. Shower/ tub nicked up. There were a few yellow stains on the comforter on the bed and discoloration on the lightweight sheet on top of it. At breakfast the pancake “machine” didn’t work, no milk for cereal, coffee not hot and no hotel employee to be found…Just a phone number hand written on a piece of paper on the hotel desk to call if you had a problem. Guess we could have called the number…. but we just wanted to get back on the road.

This property was rated as an 8.5 and I would have rated it at 7. The breakfast was lower than average. ..

It was a pretty good hotel. The only thing i didn't like was they didn't have much of a breakfast selection and their pancake maker was out of order. The beds were kinda hard also, not very comfortable.

Hot tub jets didn’t work in the first room they put me in. Breakfast was out of pancakes and i asked the guy to put in more mix and instead he turned the lights out in the breakfast area. Service was not good.
