Hampton Inn Springfield

The stay was good, they were under renovation so the pool was closed.

Easy access from highway. Large parking area in back with easy access to lobby. Clerks at check in and at check out were friendly. It was busy and when we went for breakfast, several of the options were empty but were refilled in time for us to enjoy a good hot breakfast.

Their staff was very friendly and made you forget about the renovations.

The rooms were clean and updated and the breakfast had nice options for a free meal! The amenities were under construction so that was the only thing that was a little disappointing, but clearly it was temporary.

We stayed here when we took a mom and daughter trip with my 10 year old to the Yellow Springs Festival. The front desk staff were great from check in to check out. There was alwats hot coffee in the lobby as well as hot chocolate mix. The facilities were all very clean. The pool area was well maintained and clean. The indoor pool is not heated. I could not find this info when booking for anyone interested. Breakfast was great! They actually had waffles. I feel a lot of hotels advertise waffles but typically the machines are broken. Loved seeing our name in the TV screen when we walked in! The room was nice and tidy. The bathroom was clean. Minimal rust arount some of the metal fixtures in the bathtub. The AC worked great but half of the panel on the bottom was hanging off. However, our biggest disappointment were the beds and pillows. We expected some type of memory foam or pillow top mattress. Was shocked to see such a new hotel had traditional spring matresses. Boy did they ever squeak with every movement and were uncomfortable. My daughter and I tossed and turned all night and woke up with sore bodies and necks. The pillows were a big let down. Im a pillow person and Hampton/Hilton have the best feather down type pillows! If you dont know, they even sell them because people love them so much. These were not it. Even tried to stack them and you just sink and became flat. The pillows are actually why we chose to book this hotel and pay more than another nearby hotel.

The hotel was nice and easy to find!! The only BAD issue was the fire alarm went off Saturday morning at 6/615 am and woke up the whole hotel and no kind of compassion or anything off of the bill and of course the room lock half worked and told the front and they said - we are remodeling so the doors and pool and such is all closed or under recondition! Overall once it’s all fixed I would stay again!!

This hotel seemed fairly new. The two women at the front desk were super nice when we checked in. Room was comfortable, breakfast what you would expect from Hampton Inn. I was happy they offered some non -dairy milk! Mostly we loved the workout room. We don't expect a lot from a hotel gym, but this one was better than normal. Overall great stay!

Very friendly staff greeting with smiles soon as we entered front door hotel was clean and our room very tidy clean vey happy breakfast was also delicious variety of items was delicious hopefully pool will be finished next time we visit Ohio

The hotel offers complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, and the breakfast was wonderful (omelets, bacon, waffles, muffins, fruit, oatmeal, and cereals). Very clean, quiet, and walking distance to a couple of restaurants.

Wornout and requires a remodel asap. Sheets were either not clean or stained. We requested they be replaced, which we had to do ourselves.

There was broken glass on floor behind our door, the door stop in bathroom was also broken. While these things dont amount to much they do indicate that the room isnt as thoroughly cleaned as I would expect. Additionally, our tv was iffy. The tech came and fixed it and was kind. But the cord needs replaced it had a bad connection throughout the weekend and needed wiggled. Our floor smelled of marijuana all weekend.

I booked this hotel because of proximity to highway and eating options. Check in went fine but room smelled heavy of smoke. Pillows and linens smelled of smoke. Room could have been cleaner.

This was the cleanest hotel I have stayed in recently. Staff friendly and polite. Breakfast offerings where plentiful and fresh. Rooms are spacious and welcoming. Love the ammenities in the bathroom the bottles of shampoo, soap and lotion are in large bottles with pumps on hangers easily dispensed.

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful when we checked in. But when we got to our room, there was a beer bottle cap on the floor and the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks.

It was a quick stop over in a very small town, but the hotel itself was extremely clean and I felt safe being there

Very clean rooms, large rooms

Rooms need a deep clean carpet was filthy Sheets didn’t feel clean found a hair in the bed good indication the sheet still on the bed from previous ocupant.

Booked a king bed room. Arrived and they were overbooked so couldn’t have that room that I booked was told they had a handicap king bed available; pretty sure not a king, bed for my wife and I was small, possibly queen size. Allot of noise also

Everything was very clean and updated. Only problem was, there was a ruckus on our floor every night.

Front desk lady was friendly and helpful. They were renovating the front entrance, so that was a bit awkward, as someone had their vehicle blocking the drive way, and the work itself was noisy. Room was nice and clean, but doors slammed shut several times in the wee hour of the morning, making it hard to sleep. I know the renovation is temporary, so that should be resolved, but quieter closing doors would be a plus, Overall a very nice hotel.

Very loud road noise. Pillows felt like they were ballons. Inflated to begin with then paper. Bit the front desk ppl wete super nice and it had a smart tv. The wifi is terrible and charging extra for good wifi is insane.

The good is that the property was clean and in good shape. It’s a basic hotel so no fringes. Had a really nice TV and comfortable bed. I know this location and it’s not the best area of town although there’s several hotels and eating places around.

Front desk staff went above and beyond with a reservation issue, handled it professionally, efficiently and most importantly very pleasantly. Breakfast was very good for the price point. Room was comfortable and very clean. Would happily stay here again.

front desk was inefficient and not aware of how confirmation numbers from third parties work room (bathroom) was used and dirty - even had used bar of soap, holes in the wall covered with blue tape, room door was broken room would not cool off

I was not to thrilled with the value at this location. The room was fine. The breakfast was not that great. The TV in our room was not working when we arrived, and the front desk suggested changing the batteries in the remote but it still didn't work. When I called back I was told there was no one there that could help me and no other rooms were available. After feeling around on the back of the mounted TV, I suspected that the power cord was missing. I pulled out the large, heavy piece of furniture that the TV was mounted on and found the power cord lying unplugged behind it. So I plugged the TV in and pushed the furniture back against the wall. The staff that were there were friendly but not very helpful. There's a renovation going on, so perhaps things will improve. Overall, I was disappointed in the stay.

Just a half-way pit stop, so, basically bed, b-fast and hit the road. Usual quality of Hampton -- Great location / easy access right off I-70, quick check-in / out, clean, comfortable room, good breakfast.

Convenient to the Heart of Ohio Antique Center

I often stay in Hampton Inns and have always had a positive experience - until now. When I checked in at about 11 pm there was some sort of sports bar type party going on in the lobby which made it nearly impossible for me to here the clerk. The room location I'd requested wasn't available. The room I was given was not properly clean: there was something unidentifiable on the carpet by the window - I know what it looked like but I won't say so here (and I hope it wasn't). The hallways had not been cleaned properly either. The location is not the best either. Mostly unhealthy choices nearby for meals. I suppose this hotel is alright for an overnight stay along I70 but I wouldn't choose it again. No doubt the worst Hampton Inn I've stayed in.

Great stay! Comfy room, great breakfast, friendly staff.

Arrived Thursday. Saturday the towels were swapped out but left in a pile, not in the wall mounted organizer. Monday the towels were again left in a pile and one of two trash cans was emptied. The other had a liner available for self-service; e.g., was not in the bin. Friday morning the sausage patties were way over cooked. Ran out of facial tissue so we bought a box. Close to Cracker Barrel, Lee's Chicken, other dining establishments. Ample parking. Luggage trolleys were always available (my pet peeve).

Dirty, cold breakfast. There was a fish hook in the rug that got stuck in my foot.

Recently updated and looks great! Updated fitness equipment, too. Breakfast was very good and had lots of options - eggs, yogurt, cereal, waffles, fruit, etc. Many Hampton inns can look a bit run down but the new updates at this one deserve a visit.
