Blue Water Inn

The room was clean and the king bed was very comfortable. The property is well kept and the views of the river from our room was great. The restaurant on the river at the bottom of the hill is excellent.

★★★★★ **Our Perfect Riverside Getaway** What a wonderful getaway! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our room at the Blue Water Inn was spotless, cozy, and inviting, but the real highlight was the incredible view of the St. Clair River. Sitting in our room and watching three freighters glide by was such a relaxing and memorable experience. We knew when we booked that there was no elevator and that we would need to climb a flight of stairs to reach our room. Due to a minor health issue, that was a bit of a concern for us. The manager on duty immediately stepped in and graciously carried our luggage up to our room. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us and truly reflected the kind of hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. Everyone on the staff was warm, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care that we enjoyed our visit. It's rare to find that level of personal service. We also loved having the River Crab Restaurant right next door. The food was delicious, the waitstaff was outstanding, and the riverfront setting was simply beautiful. Enjoying a wonderful meal while looking out over the water made for a perfect evening. This was one of those special stays that leaves you with great memories and already thinking about your next visit. We can't wait to come back!

I understand the economy, but upgrades are desperately needed here. The sink in this room was cracked, and once I had gotten into the shower, I wanted to get right back out again. The water pressure was pretty poor, and it was not an enjoyable shower. There was a piece of cardboard under the sink area, the facial tissue box was empty, and the towel baskets in all the rooms we've stayed in were really dusty. On the up side, however, the view is lovely and the discounted rates on the booking apps offset the negatives to some degree. Also, I always sleep very well in the beds here.

Had a balcony water view, fantastic! The whole reason to come was to watch ships and this fit the bill. Room was clean, could have used an extra blanket in the closet. Would stay again, many local restaurant options available.

Me and my wife had a wonderful stay here to celebrate our anniversary. Every room has a beautiful view of the St. Clair River. You can tell the Staff take great pride in their jobs, everyone was very helpful and the rooms seemed to be newly renovated and well cared for. Eating Dinner at the River Crab Restaurant was also a very special experience with an excellent selection of food and wine. We also got a great deal on our room offseason. We Highly recommend this place.
