Great stay. Pool/spa was a little yucky, otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

The pool was very cold. The water appeared murky and not very clean looking. The hot tub worked, but once the tub jets stopped, there were very weird clumps of something floating in the water, which made us vacate the hot tub quickly.

New facility, decent exercise room and pool. Hottub was out of service. Breakfast was missing protein and healthy options.

The pool was down and unable to be used while we were there, its the main reason we picked that hotel. They didnt even let us know.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to take a polar plunge indoors, this is your place! The pool area is proudly kept at a brisk 64 degrees—perfect if you’re a penguin. The “hot” tub clocks in at a toasty 98 degrees, which, to be fair, is about the temperature of a mildly annoyed cup of tea. When we asked if they could turn the heat up, management basically said, “Nope, we like our guests crisp and refreshed.” Kids didn’t mind—they’re basically amphibians—but every adult was huddled in hoodies, clutching towels like survival blankets. To make things even cozier, there’s a strict “no beverages of any kind” policy in the pool area. Not even a harmless can of beer while supervising the kids. No glass? Reasonable. No food? Fine. But no beverages at all? That’s a level of dryness I didn’t expect to experience poolside. Between the chill and the prohibition, the fun-to-hypothermia ratio was… unfavorable. Later, we asked if our group could use the breakfast area to eat pizza together one night. After some serious negotiation (I think we were one “pretty please” away from a hostage situation), they reluctantly agreed—but only if we cleaned it ourselves and personally escorted our trash to the dumpster out back. Nothing says “hospitality” like being handed a rag and told, “Good luck!” All in all, it’s a budget hotel, and you absolutely get what you pay for—just make sure to pack a parka, your own mop, and low expectations for warmth or welcome.

Clean, quiet. As we were in the pool, a Staff member waked over and informed us we could not have bottled water in the pool area. Our bottled water was on a table in the pool area. We have never had anyone ever do that in the all the years we have traveled. Disappointing!

I enjoyed my time here, it was a bit dirty around the pool, the gym needs to be redone, most of the equipment is broken. I almost fell on the treadmill. The breakfast was delicious and always warm. I enjoyed that.

Room was dirty, garbage not changed from previous occupants, someone’s dirty socks left in the closet, public hair in the shower, hair all over in the sheets and stains! Hot tub was barely warm!

Room was not clean at all and smelled terrible shower ceiling was falling apart and there was trash left under my bed as well as other random items that did not belong to me. Breakfast was subpar and we were not even told their was a pool available

We've stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last 20 years and are sad to see the cleanliness go downhill. Our room had a terrible odor coming from the air handler and possibly the stained carpet as well. We were able to turn it off and open the window for the night which helped. The bathroom floor was gross and not clean. There was a trickle of water from the shower with barely any water pressure. We won't stay here again.

Room was somewhat dirty as the bathroom floor had not been cleaned. Shower curtain was torn, and the drain was rusty. The breakfast was less than adequate.

Cleanliness in hotels is a must, and it just did not feel clean. Mirrors were dirty hair in the shower spots on the carpet.

Our bathroom had hair all over, the toilet was broken, the refrigerator was broken, the beds were miserable. Overall horrible experience. I never write bad reviews, I would NEVER stay here again.

We had to change rooms because the room we booked had animal hair on the coach, stains on the headboard, the floor wasn't vacuumed and the shower curtain smelled like mildew. The lady at the frount desk was nice and understanding and got us a new room, but after we opened the curtains that room had coffee stains on the wall. We also noticed there were holes in the bed sheets and the shower curtain smelled like mildew. We had a maintenance worker walk in our room without knocking and was shocked to see us in the room. He said he didn't know anyone was staying in the room and someome called about a leak by the window. We never called about a leak and we also had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and the TV was on in the room, so not sure how he didn't know someone wasn't in the room. Also there was a car show that weekend at the fairgrounds and we got to see some really cool old school cars in the parking lot. The only problem was that the parking lot was taken over by the car show people. They had lawn chair blocking off empty parking spaces and setup in the middle of the parking lot making it difficult to park and drive around them to get into a parking space. Overall this hotel was in a great location but they needs to work on cleanliness and upgrades to the hotel. We will never stay here again.

We had 3 night stay to visit family in area close by. Room service on request only. Bathroom had mold on walls by shower and tile floors. Carpet was dirty with left over food, paper, etc. Bedding was covered with nice pretty coverlette. The blankets ragged and torn underneath .Need replaced. Front desk not friendly argued with me when i complained. Finally asked what are u going to do for your customer Food was not great. Asked for refund but have to give 24 hrs notice not to be charged. Will not stay here again. Do no recommend this to anyone. Stuck with 300 bill. Never again

Definitely wasnt our favorite hotel. The last couple of Sleep Inn we have stayed at haven't been clean. Looks like we are going to find a different chain to stay at. The pool and hot tub were dirty, yet there was so much chlorine in there, it burned our eyes walking in. Our room wasn't clean. The shower curtain was dirty, like a mechanic/construction worker had been in it last and the shower itself wasn't any better. The door handles had something all over them as well.

Staff was excellent. Room was clean. Love how close it is to things.

Tv didn’t work. Shower head didn’t work, very little water came out. We left and didn’t stay next night.

Room and beds are fantastic. Unfortunately our room faces the highway, so it’s quire noisy.

Front desk staff was extremely pleasant! Overall condition of the hotel was good, location was good, room was a little bit musty, but air conditioning worked great to help. Solve the problem. Very comfortable stay!

We have stayed here several times and have always been pleased. However this time it was just ok… first our room was literally by stairs so it was loud all night. Next the air conditioner didn’t work or turn on. And lastly we had 2 sheets on our bed and no blankets. Not sure what is going on but this trip was just OK for us.

When we arrived the girl at the desk wasn't very welcoming. When we got to our room, I checked the beds, and the sheets had a few stain spots, but ok. But when my daughter went to get in bed, one side of the bed went to the floor. My husband looked under the bed and said a bracket was broke. I went down to the desk and the girl acted annoyed that I was bothering her. She gave us a new room, but no apologies for the inconvienence. The new room was ok. Also has a few spots on the sheets and the bathroom wasn't very clean. The staff in the morning were much friendlier. The woman in charge of the breakfast was nice and the girl at the desk was friendly and actually had a smile.

The property was close to the places I wanted to see. The phone was in the room was not working, the shower had a 9” gash that was covered with flex seal tape, the shower curtain was rotting off the shower, and the bedspread had stains on it. Not to mention the wallpaper was messed up and needs pained. I have pictures if you want them!

Waited in line 15 minutes with 3 other parties. Front desk did not answer our calls with phone number left on front desk. When she finally arrived, she was less than friendly and showed no remorse for us waiting. Stopped down at front desk later for sheets/blankets for pull out sofa sleeper...nothing on the bed or in the closet. Again, no one at front desk and did not answer our call. We found the linen room open down the hall and grabbed what we needed. Room was not clean. Pool was disgusting..

Arrived late after traveling all day with my 69 year old friend and was not allowed to check in to sleep a few hours into the room I had already paid for after being severely delayed in our travels. Had to sleep outside in the car. The staff was unreasonable.

We arrived for a concert at the fair and the staff hooked us up with a shuttle so we didn't have to drive. They were pleasant and helpful being we were from out of town. The beds were comfortable after a long travel day and a night at the fair. We'd stay there again.

Each person has had to wait for over a half an hour to check in. One had to go to third room to find a clean room, which only caused even more delays in checking in.

Amazing staff! I had a car emergency and the woman behind the desk watched out for me and was so nice!

It took 45 minutes to check in and I was the only one. The fan in bathroom was extremely loud. The lamp was missing a light bulb. The remote did not work. The furniture and carpet were filthy with spots everywhere. Breakfast was very limited and there seemed to never be coffee available. Limited seating. Had to ask daily for fresh towels.

The Bed and bedding were excellent. We checked in late. There was no one at the desk, but we could hear someone talking on the phone. They were out of sight—that's fine, but after waiting, we could tell it was a social call. We rapped on the counter and called out, but after four tries, we got no response. I went to the "Staff Only" door and saw Katie or Kathy on the phone and got her attention. At the desk, she said we should have called the number on the I stepped-away sign.

Great location, with easy access to the highway. Many restaurant choices just a short drive away. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Nice place. Very convenient. Not much around, but only 15 minutes to downtown!

We have stayed here twice and will do so again if in the area. Only comment would be a sign pointing the way would be helpful up where the gas station is.

Great stay...great service and excellent breakfast

The bed and linens were comfortable. Bathroom had two 1/4 rolls of toilet paper, and maybe four tissues in the Kleenex box. Handicap shower was not adjustable had we been in a wheelchair. Outside shower wall was black with mildew. Breakfast choices on Sunday morning were sparse and mind you the hotel was booked solid per front desk. The sausage patties were soggy. The egg rounds were ok. Would have liked to have seen more options. Stayed at Sleep Inn in Ankeny, Iowa night before and the breakfast options and room cleanliness at that location were stellar. It was also a better rate.

This place advertises a breakfast included in stay, but there is no breakfast. Only package muffins and dry cereal. After a couple days you have to go get breakfast somewhere. This needs to be ungraded to real food.

All very good except breakfast… no one there to assist, no fruit, no cream cheese, all food was very processed and full of sugar… would like some no sugar options. Only a few hot options… waffle, instant oat meal, sausage gravy

Very comfortable great breakfast and friendly staff.

Front desk staff , house keepers & breakfast person so very friendly everything was kept full as far as breakfast. Beds were comfortable. I got a great night sleep after a long day at Adventure Land. We will definitely be back.
