The elevators were broken and we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs. They should of told us about the elevators and offered a bottom floor room.

I did not like the cleanliness and the dingy hotel. They say they have a pool but we had to go to the Nugget to use their pool. So in all fairness they do not have a pool which they should disclose on their website. Staff was accommodating they offered a upgrade to the Nugget Hotel because their key system wasn't working,which we accepted. When we got to the Nugget we had to wait again because they had ran out of keys. We will never go to Wndover again until they remodle their hotels. Hotel for the pool.

Great choice when staying in wendover, but the casino shuttle doesn't stop here anymore.

Air conditioning worked great, bed sucked and scary when you can go in and out of every door without a key. Not secure. Absolutely zero people on the casino and we wanted to eat but There's no signs saying where the food is!

We had to drive to a sister hotel to use the pool. Hallways smell like cigarette smoke. No refrigerator or coffee maker. The elevator didn’t work.

First problem...the ONE trolly they have for carrying luggage, etc from the car....is BROKEN!! We are seniors and need help with this. If it had not been for a young man named JESSE arriving at the front desk while i was checking in....and offering to carry everything for us...I would have been left to make 5 trips back and forth!! JESSE was so very helpful and thoughtful when the woman at check in seemed uninvolved. Next problem...I had left my 85 year old husband in the car with the A/C running as it was a long walk to the entrance and check in. When I returned with Jesse I got my husband out of the car and Jesse took us on a short cut to our room. The problem is I did not remember I had left the car running for my husband and none of us heard the engine was on. It STAYED ON for hours until it ran out of gas. The next day my car would not start and I nothing indicated the problem. Out of Gas came up but I knew i had gas. I went in for help and was given the name of a tow company. I found a security guard on my way back out and explained my problem...he interrupted and told me that my car had been running ALL NIGHT and that they could not find WHO it belonged to. WHAT!! The front desk had the year, make. model, color and address that would account for Washington plates!!! Yet...they did not know who's car was running for hours. Security man GEORGE was incredible and very understanding and helpful. THANK YOU GEO. My mistake but Hotel FAILED to prevent damage.

The ice machine and elevator didn’t work, but otherwise good.

The room was clean and didn’t smell to strong of cigarettes. I’m lowering my review because it says access to hot tub no one said it’s at the other casino across town and closed for the cold season. Wanted to upgrade but wasn’t able to. Food in cafe was good.

Booked on a one week advance because the newer hotels were booked full for Speedweek. Elevators don't work at all. Staff were a bunch of 18 year old's with NO skills sitting on the counters and playing with cell phones in black T-shirts that said "Crew". Their "store" had completely empty shelves. The bar on the east end was never manned or open, leaving you to walk the full length of the place for a drink. It has 2 sections of rooms, unconnected and we had 2 rooms, so you have to take the stairs to the lobby and go across to the other stair way if you want to get to another room. No pool, but they "share a pool with the sister property, The Nugget. They didn't tell us it was closed for repairs until the grandkids were ready to go use it, (in the middle of summer during their biggest week of the year). Room cards worked half the time. One of our rooms AC didn't work on arrival, and was about 100 degrees, so we left kids and luggage in the hall to go downstairs to get a room change. (Remember: NO ELEVATOR). This morning their inside Starbucks was closed because the machine was broken, like everything else, and had 3 pastries on a rack, nothing else. NO Wi-Fi; Out of Order. Luggage carts had flat tires. No coffee makers or anything else in the rooms. Had the balls to charge $20 / day "Service Fee" with no housekeeping services, and the place smells like 1980. STAY AWAY!! SONESTA / RED LION....YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO HAVE THIS PLACE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

There was a roach in the room, notified the staff of the issue and left the property. They said they unchecked me in and put a note in the system them refused to refund my stay.

Everything is significantly outdated if not broken. Our door would not close. The room was not clean (random hair everywhere).

Whole place felt dirty and nasty. Food in restaurant was horrible.

Let’s place keeps getting worse and we found a big hole up above the toilet in the bathroom with mold growing around it the next morning after we stayed there as we got in so late didn’t see it when we checked in one ring were checking out I let them know about it And they want me to call supervisor. I wanted to talk to a manager, but I am still in the process this is ridiculous. The place is dirty filthy in the hallways and we paid 150 bucks a night for this. I have a picture down below to add

We ended up leaving at 2 am due to feeling things moving in our bed. The cockroach on the nightstand was the last straw for my partner.

The room was clean enough, but it was hot! The A/C unit in the wall did nothing to cool the room down. It was set as low as it would go and the room was still boiling! I called the front desk and they said that is just how it is. I was literally sweating all night! I will never stay here again unless it is in the winter!

So whatever you think it cost before you get there add $24. Also, the wifi does not work in the rooms, I was told by staff none of them. Small casino, not much happening.

Sad to say that our room was horrible. No AC, no fridge, elevator not working, remote didn't work. We have always like this hotel. Staff called for our ac to he prepared, but maintenance never showed up. Slept in at least 85 degrees.

The bed was awful. We woke up in pain from the stiff mattress. We heard every footstep and conversation outside the room. The AC unit sounded like it was going to explode.

We have stayed at this property on several occasions. The rooms are small but are clean and nice.

The heater/ac unit was very noisy at times making a grinding noise and the bed was uncomfortable. Also no place to plug in my cpap machine since the only outlet was in the middle of the headboard and we couldn’t get to it. No outlets on the bedside lamps. No coffee maker in the room so we went to the Starbucks in the casino and it wasn’t open yet. We were leaving early and needed coffee. When it finally opened their espresso machine wasn’t working so they only had regular coffee. We won’t stay there again.

Was promised Wifi for our room and it didn’t work plus the front desk gave different reasons as to why it wasn’t working.

Trying to check in is a joke. Each peraon in line is about 10-15 minutes, they have one person working the hotel and 11 groups waiting. This is insane.

The staff at this hotel clearly do not like working at this casino/hotel. The hotel seemed understaffed. We waited in line for 30 minutes to check in. They only had one front desk clerk. Other staff preferred to ignore customers instead of helping them. I booked a room for 3 people. Only 2 towel and 2 wash clothes were in the room. We went down to the front desk to ask for another towel and we were told to come back in 30 minutes after shift change. The bath tub struggled to drain and the shower had a hard time getting hot water. The bedding was clean and the beds were made nice. The towels that were there were hung up nicely. The carpets were vacuumed. The bed was comfortable enough but not the same as your own bed. The air-conditioning unit looked like it wanted to fall out of the wall but it worked great. It kept our room a cool 68 degrees. The room was non smoking but it still smelled like cigarettes. I pre-paid for the room through Expedia. When I got to the hotel I had to put an addition 123.00 deposit. All of but 23.50 was refunded back. I am not sure why I didn't get the 23.50 back. The staff wouldn't say what it was for. They gave me a receipt but it didn't say what it was for either. Before I checked out I made the beds, and folded the towel and washclothes and set them on top of the toilet. We combined our trash to one bin. We wiped down the counters. This place really isn't worth the cost. Travelers find a better hotel than the Red Garter.

The front desk employee was terrible we got there to check in there were 2 employees talking We’re waiting for them to helps we wait for 10 minutes they noticed but didn’t say anything No even hello or welcoming to us she was rude or she was upset I don’t understand why this person is working at the front desk . For me and my wife this was a first time staying at this place but we won’t ever come back.

Front desk staff was Friendly and Very Helpful.

The night auditor (from Saturday night to Sunday morning) I forgot her name, but she went over and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. She had great customer service and such a positive attitude we will definitely be coming back

We had our room and then they gave our room to two other families so we were out of our room with other people being in our room not just once but twice horrible service

9:30am. The check-in was professional and flawless. Check- out the next morning at 7:30am was the exact opposite. Very poor customer service. The clerk said they were unaware of any problem during the night. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he doesn't come in until 11am. I asked for corporate number or address. The clerk said he didn't have that information. During the night, the Fire Alarms went off. We called the front desk, opened the hall door and many guests were already in the hall. The front desk told us it was not a fire, and that the fire department would be there in 5 minutes to turn it off. 30 minutes later the alarm was still going off. Many gathered outside, we called the desk again and were told we weren't the only guests calling. Finally the noise ended a little after 1pm. Nightime service was practically nonexistent. 1st the restaurant didn't observe their posted hours. Closed at 9;30 2nd....During the night fire alarms went off. That started at approximately 12:30pm. It continued until a little after 1pm. 3rd..We were not even given an apology for the disruption in our stay. Very disappointing.

The hotel is convenient to get around to all the casinos in the area.

This was an okay place to stay, nothing fancy. It was one of the cheapest casino hotels to stay at. The room was small and a bit dated, but was comfortable enough to meet our needs as we were passing through Wendover. It had easy access and it was close to gas and a grocery store.

Property was easy to get to off I-80 and parking was available and close. First floor room made coming and going very convenient. Casino staff was lacking and had to go to separate casino to play.

The Prospector has good food. We waited in line longer than normal to check in and check out.

Okay stay. The room was decent but was missing the usual amenities such as a coffee maker. Room was also small but clean. Views from our room were of a wall. Dining was closed despite the sign outside stating 24hour dining but there are a few fast food options outside of the casino. Elevator was out of service during our stay. They did have a convenience store in the property with limited options which was nice.

Room was clean and comfortable and a lot cheaper than the other casino's down the street. The cafe has very good food and again, a lot cheaper than down the street.

It was smelly and old. Not really what I would consider a resort by any means, yet they charge a resort fee. Italian restaurant was closed onsite,so we had to venture out to another place for food. It was okay for a night stay but thats it.

Bugs on the bathroom floor Night stand light did not work Bathroom fan way too loud. Nothing in this hotel opens before 8am, No coffee no food.
