Rodeway Inn Lyons - La Grange

While checking in staff did not have our room as available. Receptionist had to manually enter all my information and ny credit card has the charged amount of our stay as pending. She said she had to move a person for the next day so we continue to stay in the same room. On Saturday our key card didn't work so we had to go get it reset. Room was nice but could use some updates. There is no toilet paper holder or shelf in the shower. The jacuzzi tub had the water reversed. Parking lot is small.

We were disappointed that the pool was under construction and therefore not able to use it. Also I had thought from photos there would have been breakfast items. But there was only waffles, muffins, nutragrain bars, coffee and hot tea. The room felt small and shower didn’t have a ledge to put soap and shampoo on.

Very nice I had the suit so much better then I thought it was gonna be, little sad the pool didn’t work but the room had a hot-tub, so it work the breakfast was alright only waffle and coffee but if I had to say I’ll definitely come back again

The parking lot wasnt the greatest. Not a lot of spaces that were convenient. Also they were remodeling and all the dust and drywall dust got all over my car and they started at 7am. I wish they would of asked ys to move the car before starting.

Pool not working

The facility is is a basic, no frills hotel. Just don't expect the RITZ. You get what you pay for: Quiet room, working TV, great shower. Didn't use the pool, so I can't comment on it. The breakfast area is clean and well stocked with basic fare. Staff is helpful and friendly. Facility area is quite and easy to get too. Comfy bed and the heater / AC unit worked well.

Pool was closed. Basically no breakfast. Door was broken. We needed to leave a day early and they refused to refund us the one night.

There were some areas of the hotel room that could have used more cleaning attention, like the side of the bathroom door that’s inside the bathroom. The pool was, unfortunately, not able to be used as it had no water in it. I didn’t spend much time at the hotel so that wasn’t a big loss. This hotel was exactly as expected for 90ish dollars a night.

I’m disappointed because the Hotel took most of their breakfast out, they took away their Orange Juice, Milk, Cereal and even Water. We go back because we like their staff, they are nice and friendly specially their front desk staff. Mrs. Casas is very helpful anytime we need something.

Do NOT stay here. I was decieved into thinking the place has a heated pool. The rooms don’t get cleaned AT ALL during the duration of your stay, but they still charge you the same every day. There’s no pool as advertised and still don’t get a discount. Dirty moldy bathroom, bugs and overall the worst place Expedia has ever recommended. Made my trip Terrible. There’s better hotels for a better price. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

The room was dirty, the bathroom had yellow stains on the floor and toilet seat...i left right after an hour couldnt stay it was very dirty

I’m a traveling Surgical Tech from Ohio and have been staying here for the week for the last 3 weeks. The rooms are absolutely beautiful! I’ve never been somewhere where the rooms were so clean! They have done a beautiful job remodeling and the pool is delightful!

The staff was attentive. The room was clean. The water pressure was good and the bed was comfortable. Restaurants are nearby. Ubers are efficient. The experience is worth the price of the room. ⭐️⭐️✨

It’s definitely a you get what you pay for. The room I got seemed like it was partially cleaned before I got there and partially not the sheets fersure weren’t changed from the person before me but I bring my own anyways so wasn’t an issue. Long hair found in my sheets went by myself with short hair so I guess that’s how I gaged they weren’t clean plus the feet crumbs of someone in the sheets

The bathroom was dirty, there were holes in the floor underneath the vinyl they’d covered it up with, the parking spots were all over the place which made it difficult to maneuver, and the front desk was in a room that you couldn’t access without buzzing in so we couldn’t talk to a person when checking out because no one answered our buzz.

Like that there was plenty of places to go and plenty of restaurants to choose from. What I didn’t like it’s that it wasn’t clean.

Safe, quiet, clean rooms, simple check in. Of course, nothing stellar about the stay or breakfast, but given what you’re paying, this is a great hotel. Close to a train line that runs straight into the city

The place was satisfactory until the last day when we noticed little gray worms in the shower after we showered.

We got the king suite which has a jacuzzi tub. It was very very nice!! The staff are very friendly and helpful The area is ok with some good dining options within an easy short walk The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean and not stained Powerful and quiet AC The only reasons I am not giving it full marks: Nowhere to hang clothes, no iron, no hairdrier, no bathroom floor mat and only 2 thin small-ish towels. When you have a jacuzzi tub and 2 people you need more than 2 thin towels and you definitely need something on the tiled floor to keep from slipping and cutting your foot on the corner of the tub step!!

Very clean rooms, remodeled bathrooms, newer style faucets, newer shower, lots of TV channels (one should know how to change the channels it took me while to know how to change TV channel remote had modern User Interface), clean pool, excellent breakfast (cereals, dairy as well as non-dairy milk, coffee, breakfast room very big. Staff was very helpful. The staff that checked me in was not having good day. Bilingual staff. I will visit again if I am in this area. The room was quite even when the windows were facing the road (many cars, trucks pass through), excellent windows and wall insulation. Air Conditions looked like it was new. Bedsheets OMG they were so clean, Towels were also clean. Bath soap had very nice fragrance. They really maintain the property religiously. Excellent sink. Also sink faucet was of newer style. Sink was not in the bathroom it was outside; sink should be inside the bathroom. Very quiet exhaust fan in the bathroom With this good review Hotel management should not increase room per night rate. All Staff I observed was highly productive, they were doing their assigned work very efficiently I do travel a lot and stay in many hotels; I will rate Rodeway Inn Lyons - La Grange hotel as 5 out of 5 stars. Keep up with the good work. Wi-FI signals (internet) were not steady in the room so I had to use my phone data. Some web sites could not open from the hotel wifi, but from my phone using my mobile data, those same web sites were working just fine .

I liked the hot tub suite and how much of a value it was. What I didn’t like was the pool wasn’t open, spotty internet service, hotel staff barely came in the rooms and cleaned the bedding.

It's a room with a shower, beds, and air conditioning. Not much else. Convenient options nearby for food and recreation. Basic breakfast offerings in the morning such as bagels, cereal, and juice. The rooms do not isolate against outside noise very well. The immediate area has a fair amount of street traffic, so expect some road noise if you're a light sleeper. They had a $150 policy against plugging anything in to the tv, which I found very odd. So either bring your own screen or do without streamers like a Chromecast, etc. for in-room entertainment. All things considered, I would recommend it for an overnight stay or for trips where you would spend very little time in your room. For extended stays or when you have a lot of leisure time at the hotel, perhaps think about other accommodations.

the property is in the midst of renovations so we had serious questions about it when we first pulled up, but we had a brand newly renovated room and the property was very quiet. I would stay again.

The room was fine. There was a stain on the pillow case and some black marks on the towels. The door to get in was difficult, took more than 3 tries to get it to open. The door also did not lock on the inside. The TV was also difficult to turn on. The two ladies that were working the desk were very friendly.

The location is great for me, which is why i stay there. The bed is comfortable and it has a good shower. The fridge wasnt too cold and a house keeper tried to walk in on me when i was naked. I told her bot to and she kept trying. Door was difficult to open at times as well. I would still stay there, for the location amd price. Just know that its not perfect.

Property is being renovated. Rooms are nice clean and comfortable.

Convenient to my project, clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast included. Very basic. No clothes rack at all. No soap holder at all in shower. (You have to put your stuff on the floor).

I called before and was told the booking age requirement was 18* so I went ahead and booked my room online and show up and wasn’t able to check in because a new receptionist said the correct age is 21* they did make accommodations, but it was very overall disappointing and miscommunication. They as well kept watching my room and just made me feel very uncomfortable. Great place to stay for just overnight. Weekend+ no.

Great place to stay! The hotel is close to restaurants and stores very convenient and we will be staying again our next trip we take to Chicago. Staff was very kind and helpful as well!

Front disk stuff was so rude for no reason when I came to check in . No smile and felt like someone forced her to work for free or something. I would never come here again or recommend it to no one. And absolutely does not worth $100 a night.

Christine the lady in the front was so kind and helpful amazing customer service!! Rooms are decent nothing fancy but definitely seen worse it’s fine for a one or two night stay

We have stayed at the Rodeway many times over the years, and the front office staff, especially Christine, and Maria, has always been first rate!

We checked in late evening and Christine at the desk, couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming. King size bed was very comfortable. The rooms were clean. This is a basic motel, very convenient and a great value.

The receptionist at the reception in the evening was very rude. The first room they gave could not be locked from the inside. The furniture in the rooms was old and dirty. All the noise from the next room and the cars on the street was inside the room and very disturbing. I would not recommend it to anyone and I would definitely not stay there again.

Very good location

Conveniently located near a Metra station, and some shops and food outlets. It may not look like much from the outside, but the inside of the rooms have been refurbished. AC works well, beds were comfy and rooms clean. Breakfast was basic, but you would not expect anything more from a place like this. Nice place for an affordable stay in Chicago.

Staying at Rodeway Inn , it was nice and , clean , very friendly staff . Everything is close in area a lot of restaurant’s and pubs close to the Highway I55 . I would like to recommend everybody to stay at this place ..

I wanted a cheaper stay to be closer to family. I was happy with the location and price.

Very nice, secure, location, easy parking

I grew up in the area so I remember this place from back in the day, it’s a nice place, I would definitely stay there again and I would recommend to a friend. It’s centrally location between 2 major highways, just minutes from downtown chgo close to shopping centers and restaurants. Entertainment is at your fingertips. Check it out for yourself 👍

This is an old motel 15 minutes from midway airport. It has difficult and limited parking. The room has been slightly updated with a newer TV, microwave and small fridge. Updated shower. Very small bathroom. Comfortable bed. It is not a quiet location but it is walkable to some restaurants and necessary shopping.

Could of had eggs and bacon on Breakfast Bar. The price was right for what you got.

Basic is what I would describe everything. Room had the basics and was clean. Free breakfast was basic with cereal, bagels, and make your own waffles. Hot coffee and tea available but no eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. We arrived at 9pm and left by 9am. A place to sleep and catch a quick bite in the morning.
