SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Hammond

Never again. It is a very cumbersome process just to even arrive at this property. It is literary located Behind fast food restaurants with no direct road. You just turn from the rear driveway of the food places. There is some show of someone's effort to modernize this property but it's not manifested. There are clearly ppl who rent this place for the long term or extended use and that's also easy to tell because they sat for hours outside on the stairs. The internet and website are very misleading. It gave the impression that the rooms - (Not suites) were accessible per indoors. However, this place is motel only. All rooms are exterior for your drive-up inconvenience. The room was neat and clean including the bathroom. The loud and imposing smell was totally a chemical linger as in illicit substances. This place is Not worth the money they rip you off for. I needed to travel to Hammond to celebrate a family event. I brought my doggie with me and left him in the room. When the event ended i returned to the room. I packed all of my belongings including my dog 🐕 and decided that I would rather risk the dark, late night drive back to New Orleans than to attempt to rest in this derelict environment. They can Keep the money!!

Would not stay here again. Old hotel, they tried to make it look nice, but was like a motel 6

We had to change rooms 3 times which was aggravating.First room was full of water on the floor.Second room outside door wouldn't open.Finally the last room was good.Only other thing is I woke up to housekeeping in the room cleaning without announcing herself.

Great pristine, clean room. Dogs were happy to run unabated in the field. The shower was fantastic. Breakfast was so-so and coffee not so great.we appreciated the table so we could eat dinner.
