Check in went well. Our room was very damp all weekend. Our clothes became damp during our stay as well. The smell from the dampness wasn't good. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The pool was warm. The paint in the hot tub was chipping.

Hot tub and pool were not working/not heated. That's one of the reasons we went there and we weren't told about the hot tub until after we checked in and not told about the pool heater not working literally as we were walking down the hall with kids who had their heart set on it.... They could have updated the website so we knew, but no. Hot tub wasn't working last year, so this was probably our last time staying here. Breakfast was pretty sparse both days.

Wonderful experience. This particular AmericInn was exceptionally well managed. Clean, very helpful staff, accommodating, patient. Breakfast was very good for what it is. They clearly take their business seriously. The only flaw was the hot tub was closed down. I’m serious, that was the only thing I can come up with. The pool was heated though so it kind of made up for it. There were several restaurants in the immediate area. It was a great experience. Looking forward to staying there again soon.

Personally, I would like to see a recycle bin in the room. I happened to have a paper bag that I used. Our room was perfect (child in wheelchair but I didn’t ask for ada as those {I feel} should be for a person that doesn’t have caregivers) I would have preferred real silverware as I really dislike plastic. Jets in hot tub weren’t working but we still enjoyed the soak! This stuff happens, a hotel can not shut down because an extra/amenity needs repair (not a safety issue) Over all, we really enjoyed our stay and will use that chain again. Staff was great! Friendly and helpful.

The pool area was good. Large pool, limited chairs. Hot tub bottom is very worn and jets were not working. Room was spacious but dusty and a large clump of hair fell out of the sleeper sofa, carpeted floor speckled with dirt. There were no restaurants nearby and very limited delivery options.

Have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the last couple years. Each time it goes downhill. Hot tub has not worked in over a year. This time one of the employees had her whole family there and they were completely obnoxious. Loud and yelling until 4 am. Making the hotel smell like marijuana which is not legal, but since it was their family they didn’t seem to care about any of that. The mouse traps in the lobby were a turnoff as well. Definitely do NOT recommend.

To begin, when checking in the two employees where more concerned with continuing their conversation than actually checking in folks for the weekend. Secondly when we entered our room there was an overwhelming musty smell. They had a window open( I assume to air the room out). All the of the bedding and the couch all felt a little damp to the touch. The “clean” foot mat for the shower was wet and folded over the tub (again still wet). The carpet was sticky and we found what looked like mold on the wall under the bathroom sink. Shower was also not clean.

To begin, when checking in the two employees where more concerned with continuing their conversation than actually checking in folks for the weekend. Secondly when we entered our room there was an overwhelming musty smell. They had a window open( I assume to air the room out). All the of the bedding and the couch all felt a little damp to the touch. The “clean” foot mat for the shower was wet and folded over the tub (again still wet). The carpet was sticky and we found what looked like mold on the wall under the bathroom sink. Shower was also not clean.

First room smelled of urine and we discovered source of odor in the bathroom. Toilet was not cleaned and had not been flushed. Second room was better but door was very hard to open and close which would be a significant hazard if there were a fire. Thought it was unusual that the windows (ground floor room) were not locked.

If we’re in the Hayward area, this is where we stay. We’ve always had friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, quiet rooms and good hot breakfast. We will be back on our next trip north!

Room was clean and comfortable. Most of all it was quiet and I was able to sleep without any loud noises or other guests that were loud. Breakfast was very nice, lots of good options and the front desk help was great and very friendly. A 5 star experience all around!

This was a fine motel and the staff was friendly. The room finishes are getting a little dated with a couple runs in the carpet, a little rust in the tub, and a refrigerator that ran a little noisy.

Very overpriced. We were visiting family and had few choices up in this somewhat isolated area. I’m guessing they decided to price gouge anyone who has to travel up there, as it was hardly full on a summer weekend. It was clean but very dated. The bathroom was very small, not many places to put things there and throughout the room. They offer a free breakfast, which is nice, but the coffee was some of the worst I’ve had. I don’t think there’s an elevator to the second floor, like an interior motel.

general manager and another staff member were VERY rude from time of check in until check out. they accused my grandchildren of "trashing the pool bathroom when in fact they were in the pool swimming and someone else was in the bathroom. my nieces came to swim with the grandkids and we were charged $20.00 for them to swim, even though I was there for 3 nights! I will be calling corporate office. their attitude frightened my grandchildren so we checked out early. never stay here!!

Personally, I would like to see a recycle bin in the room. I happened to have a paper bag that I used. Our room was perfect (child in wheelchair but I didn’t ask for ada as those {I feel} should be for a person that doesn’t have caregivers) I would have preferred real silverware as I really dislike plastic. Jets in hot tub weren’t working but we still enjoyed the soak! This stuff happens, a hotel can not shut down because an extra/amenity needs repair (not a safety issue) Over all, we really enjoyed our stay and will use that chain again. Staff was great! Friendly and helpful.

Room service and cleanliness of room was nice. Front desk host who checked was super unfriendly and unwelcoming. Handicap parking needed for our stay and was being used by those without a handicap placard. Told the same front desk host, nothing was done. Same thing happened thru out our stay.

Worked out very well for us. AC made a clunky noise that if I’d noticed earlier I would have been able to catch the front desk. But overall great stay. Friendly staff, clean, convenient to Birkie and Bike racing.

Wonderful experience. This particular AmericInn was exceptionally well managed. Clean, very helpful staff, accommodating, patient. Breakfast was very good for what it is. They clearly take their business seriously. The only flaw was the hot tub was closed down. I’m serious, that was the only thing I can come up with. The pool was heated though so it kind of made up for it. There were several restaurants in the immediate area. It was a great experience. Looking forward to staying there again soon.

The pool area was good. Large pool, limited chairs. Hot tub bottom is very worn and jets were not working. Room was spacious but dusty and a large clump of hair fell out of the sleeper sofa, carpeted floor speckled with dirt. There were no restaurants nearby and very limited delivery options.

Kids liked the pool and hot tub a lot, they had pool balls for them to use which was a very nice addition. Breakfast was very boring and not much selections. The staff was very kind and very helpful.

Hot tub and pool were not working/not heated. That's one of the reasons we went there and we weren't told about the hot tub until after we checked in and not told about the pool heater not working literally as we were walking down the hall with kids who had their heart set on it.... They could have updated the website so we knew, but no. Hot tub wasn't working last year, so this was probably our last time staying here. Breakfast was pretty sparse both days.

Very overpriced. We were visiting family and had few choices up in this somewhat isolated area. I’m guessing they decided to price gouge anyone who has to travel up there, as it was hardly full on a summer weekend. It was clean but very dated. The bathroom was very small, not many places to put things there and throughout the room. They offer a free breakfast, which is nice, but the coffee was some of the worst I’ve had. I don’t think there’s an elevator to the second floor, like an interior motel.

We had a very nice stay here. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We were with a group of 14 and the lobby area was very large and lots of comfortable seating to drink coffee and chat. The breakfast was plentiful. Eggs , sausage, waffles. Pastries cereal. Toast. Bagels. Yogurt. Cheese. Coffee bar was great. Pool was very nice. Heated. Steps for easy entry.

We'd been to Hayward area prior to the pandemic, stayed at a different Hayward hotel back then. Now went back for a quick few days to revisit Hayward once again, plus some places in the Ashland and Duluth areas. We only needed a simple, well cared for place to sleep two nights, with a great breakfast two mornings. AmericInn, Hayward worked well for us this trip. Plus, it's located right on a main highway that worked out really well for us to make the most of the short time of our visit. Upon checkout, we did let the front desk manager know of some towel bars, and wall hooks in the bathroom area, and the grab bar in the tub/shower were loose. She wrote them down and told us their building is scheduled for an upcoming remodeling job, which will take care of such things and more. She did say needs such as the loose shower grab bar get bumped up for their in-house maint staff to take care of right away.

Our toilet broke twice and the woman at the front desk was unhelpful. It would have been avoided the second time if she had communicated properly. Sadly, she didn't seem to care and couldn't be bothered to take her noise canceling headphones off at at times either. The maintenance man and his wife who was head of housekeeping were nice and helpful.
