Super 8 by Wyndham College Park Wash DC Area

When we checked in, the receptionist took a long time with my license and was shaking her head. After an extended time, she confirmed that we were registered for a room and gave use keys. There was no hair dryer in the first room, so we asked to move to another room that had a hair dryer. I found out the next morning, that although there was a hair dryer in our second room, it did not work. The receptionist was not very willing to give us a second room that had a hair dryer. The hallways smelled like weed and the stairwell smelled like urine. Our first room didn't smell good either. Thankfully our second room smelled better. Bed linens did not look very clean. Neither did any carpets in the whole place. Breakfast was disappointing as there was no cold beverages or fruit. The humidity in the room was awful. I woke up at 1:30am from hearing people walking around in the room above us. I would never stay in this place again. We stayed in a hotel near Pittsburgh for the same exact price the following night and had a completely different positive experience.

Should have checked other reviews. Stood at the front desk for 5 minutes before having to beat on bulletproof glass to get someone to come from the back room. She was nice but you can’t hear her through the bulletproof glass and she is timid in interactions with you. Carpet in halls and room was dirty. Room reeks of old cigarette smoke. Third floor hall has other unpleasant smells. Problems with TV. Remote wouldn't work. Had to unplug it to turn it off. Shower was horrible in. You either take an unbearable hot or cold shower. Can not adjust. Towel had large tear in it. Bed sheets had hole in it. The place needs updating but that doesn’t bother me. I’m not paying extra for a room to sleep and shower in just to have it prettier. I just want everything to work and be clean. I didn’t even bother with any free breakfast. There is a great diner beside the place. I am not saying the place is horrible, it could have definitely been worse, but there is a lot of room for improvement. The location is convenient to the university if that's what you need. I will not be returning.

Very limited breakfast (bagel and muffin) and quality of coffee was not the best. A lot of noise from the third floor room as we were staying on second floor. Did not get a sound sleep. Very disappointing.

Not so good. Key card machine wasn’t working when it got to my turn to check in. She must have gone through about 70 keys before she finally decided to clean the machine and it finally worked. The desk chair was old and all peeled up. The hotel is old and stale and they have just one iron for the entire hotel which wasn’t working so I have to buy a new clothing from Kohls to attend my function. Overall the stay was OK if you are just looking for a cheap place to stay but all the factors makes this place a last resort option.

The carpet is dirty and the quilt smells like disinfectant. What I can't stand the most is that the vending machine on the first floor stole my money.

Needs updating in the rooms. Paint was peeling , carpets were stained, mildew in the bathroom, shower head was gross, had mold on it. Beds were comfortable. Also could smell smoke residue in the room along with marijuana .

Absolutely wasn’t worth what I paid and I would gladly like a discount of what I paid. Very shabby and run down place, very dirty, very strong smoke smell and cigarettes marks all over wooden table and chair. Chair was ripped up and very dirty. Walls a mess, curtains old and smoky. Floors squeaks like hell. Pillows smelled of people and had hairs, I placed one under the second sheet that smelled clean. I didn’t use the top blankets. The blankets had cigarette holes. I was too tired to go elsewhere. Checked in late. Only upside is I didn’t see any roaches but my stay was very short.

Cheap, but terrible in terms of cleanliness - the floors had burnt mark, dust, trash, and most importanly many many cockroaches!

Found alive and dead cockroaches in the room. Asked to change to another room, but they said they couldn’t. Terrible experience.

Room was dirty. I found chewed gum on the floor. Bathtub was peeling the floor had uneven areas under the rug like holes. Check in had glass and I could hardly hear or even understand the woman checking me in.

After a 10 minute check-in, I got to my room with it smelling like someone smoked multiple cigarettes in the room, the chair with trash in it and the bed having sexual relation body fluids. Went straight back to the front desk to request another room just for her to say there is no other room and I’m not giving you any money back. The parking lot only had 4 cars parked and majority of the windows didn’t have lights turned on so I don’t understand how there was no other room available. I asked to speak with a manager and was informed there is no manager. I reached out to Expedia because I have major asthma problems and being in room with smoke is life threatening. They would not provide a refund (not even particular) and wouldn’t relocate me. The only thing that could be offered was $25 discount to book again. I do not recommend staying here, especially if you have children.

1.False advertising 2. What they showed me on the computer was different from what we enter in the room. 3. The room was dirty 4. The carpet was filthy 5. The furnitures had stains all over/ dirty 6. Overall, my wife and I had to leave right after we checked In.

In general this hotel was good value for money. The room was very spacious and seemed clean. There was always a a member of staff available at the desk. All interactions were helpful and simple. There were two issues that bothered me: The WiFi was extremely slow most of the time and I had to keep re-entering the password. The 2nd issue was that I found a syringe (without needle) in the corner of my room. Both issues seem avoidable to me.

What you pay is what you will get. You can hear noise from upstairs. The service, how ever, is good and friendly. Not recommended for staying long period of nights.

I booked this Wyndham Motel 8 for a one-night stay. Normally, I would’ve chosen a better place, but for the price, availability, and the fact that I just needed a bed and some basic amenities like “breakfast” (which turned out to barely be a breakfast at all), I figured it would do for one night. The only positive part of my experience was the front desk staff—they were genuinely kind, helpful, and super sweet. Unfortunately, everything else about this stay was awful. When I opened the door to my first room, I was immediately hit with the strong stench of smoke—it was unbearable. I went back to the front desk and explained the issue. They switched my room instantly, no problem. But the second room? Still smelled like smoke, just slightly less intense. I had been traveling all day and was too exhausted to go back down and switch rooms again. I figured I could tough it out for one night. Big mistake. Within a couple of hours, I was nauseous and fighting the urge to throw up. The smoke smell seemed embedded in everything—the carpet, mattress, pillows, and walls. I barely got any sleep. The room was also incredibly outdated, the furniture was worn, walls were dirty, and the TV barely worked—every channel was staticky. I didn’t complain again out of courtesy for the front desk, and honestly, I was afraid every room might be the same. I also would’ve left and gone to another hotel, but their cancellation policy is terrible—they don’t allow cancellations.

I left my stuff in the room after checking out, I called the office, the staff packed my clothes well and waited me to pick up. The staff was very helpful!

THE FRONT DESK STAFF THE NAME MISS LADET WAS UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, UNPLEASANT, NOT FRIENDLY. SHE REFUSED TO CHANGE ONE OF THE TWO ROOMS THAT WAS VERY DIRTY AND WITH A CIGARETTE SMELL.

Nice little room in close proximity to UM and just a few clicks from the Metro to get to DC. Nothing special, just a bed and a bathroom when and where ya need it.

This was the most affordable motel within easy transportation distance of the National Archives. It was great to have coffee and a bagel, then walk the short distance to a bus stop. In the evenings, the Paint Brush Trail was relatively close by for immersing myself in nature!

The price was convent. There is a dinner next door that has very good food. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel which takes you to the metro station. The room has a frig and microwave.The room and bathroom were clean. Carpet is old

Clean, nice. Construction everywhere but not on property Close to LOTS of shopping, DC Baltimore. GREAT FOOD EVERYWHERE around. Go to Sakura Buffet and Jerk Pit

Easy location to CollegePark area. Quiet clean friendly staff

It was a very convinient area for the place i was visiting. The price was reasonable.

The quality of people living there, more homeless in that motel. Not a safe place

This motel is terrible. The carpets were ultra dirty and the entire motel super smelly. The location is shady too. The service was okayish. Would never recommend for the price. Not staying here again.

Not many restaurants nearby

Everything was great I'm just unhappy that it was no continental breakfast but rather breakfast to go which is fine but not my particular preference.

The property is in dire need of maintenance. The hallways reek of an unpleasant odor, and the room has a strong musty smell. The bed sheets were partially torn, and the blankets bear cigarette burns. The bathroom appears worn-out and neglected. Overall, the hotel requires immediate attention to maintenance. As for the breakfast, it was highly disappointing—a mere muffin accompanied by coffee… If you’re reading this review and contemplating staying at this hotel, my heartfelt advice is to avoid it altogether or escape while you still can.

The property is old and the bath tubs creak for example. The surfaces are rough with dark spots. Not worth the $90 dollars they charge. Unlike other comparable places, the BF options are very limited.

Everything was great from the check in; through my stay; and the checkout. But the only issued I had honestly speaking was the breakfast to be absolutely honest when i goes a hotel or motel I totally looks forward to that continental breakfast it hits differently and I've been doin this since I was first able to start checking into hotels and etc.

Liked: Quiet Not liked: Breakfast was offered from 6-9 AM. No breakfast was offered as promised. There were only 3 old tables in the front desk area. The only thing that was offered - coffee

The Stay was just average. Should be proper breakfast not just coffee and muffin.

As per the price propert is not ok.they say they provide breakfast but it is not fresh and good .

this property is not worthy of 4 stars out of 6 that I saw when selecting for a hotel. Cable was out, holes in the bedspread, bugs in the room. The "included breakfast" was nothing more than prepackaged bagels and muffin. I will NEVER stay there again!!
