As a former Wyndham employee, I was rather disappointed with this stay. One of the reasons we picked this hotel was that it included a hot tub with the pool. Unfortunately, it was more of a luke-warm tub. The pool and "hot" tub were the same temperature. The jets worked, which was nice, but it was just too cold to enjoy it. Another issue we had was that the entrance in the middle of front of the building, did not work. We could not get in, the key would not unlock it. At one point, another guest eventually saw us and opened the door and proceeded to tell us that it was broken. Since parking is along this side of the building it is much more convenient to enter here than lug everything back to the main entrance. The one issue we came across that absolutely dumbfounded us was that there was no shampoo. We figured, since there were two bottles of conditioner, it was probably forgotten. So, we went to the front desk to try and get some and was told, they don't provide shampoo. How is this even remotely possible? There was body wash, body lotion, makeup remover, hand soap, and conditioner (which makes no sense without shampoo), but no shampoo. I had to make a special trip to the store just to buy shampoo. On a good note, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast in the morning wasn't anything special, just a normal continental breakfast. Overall, it wasn't a horrible stay, just not what I am accustomed to from a Wyndham brand.

Breakfast was served by a very unhygienic person, and there wasn't enough juice for everyone in the hotel. We were told there'd be more tomorrow. Unsatisfying stay to day the least.

Would not stay here again. Front desk was nice, but could not deliver any requests we made. There was no hand soap in the room which seems like a basic necessity. The sheets had a blood stain on them & no one was at the front desk for us to get them replaced.

Booked this last minute on our way down the shore. Saw it was close to the horse track and from the pictures and reviews seemed like a decent place to stay for a night . We got into the room it did smell musty like smoke. And the the carpet was frayed and the tackless was exposed and stepped in the nails. There is also definitely some sketchy stuff going on in the hotel. There was a car parked in the parking lot, there was 3 men in the truck. They were there all night and the 2 guys in the truck would go in the hotel for a little bit then come back out and then just sit in the car again. We brought it to the attention to the front desk and they didn’t seemed to be phased by the shady stuff going on. Personally I would not stay here again.

My stay there was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had to experience on a vacation. We were supposed to stay 3 nights, after being bitten all over our arms, backs, legs and necks, I found a bed bug under me when I woke up. I let the front desk know and asked for a refund for just the last night that we were not staying. When I told the lady at the front desk that we had been bitten and found bed bugs in the bed all she gave me a half butt apology, no concern for their customers health at all. Then I was told since we made the reservation through a 3rd party (Expedia) that we would have to call them. I called them and they tried to get a refund for me but was told that if we have an early check out, that the hotel will charge us more! This place also charged me for my emotional support dog. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, it needs to be condemned!

This property needs some work. The hallways were not well lit and the carpet in the hallways are filthy and needs to be replaced. The smell in the rooms was terrible. The sheets and pillowcases on the beds were dingy and had a terrible smell. The bathtubs need to be refinished because the three tubs that I saw had dark blemishes on the bottom of them where you step into the tub. The staff hardly ever was at the front desk when I needed help and the phones at the front desk were hardly ever answered. The gentleman working at the front desk was not friendly, as a matter of fact he was very condescending. I gave this hotel a one star but if I could give it a 0 star I would have.

Pros: Plenty of free parking Clean room Clean hotel Free breakfast (waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee, muffins) Staff was friendly for the most part Cons: TV in room was very small and picture was even smaller. Pool was not available during my stay but I think it was only temporary. Could not accommodate an extra pillows. Would not give any extra towels unless you handed back your dirty ones. Outside the hotel was infested with jumping spiders so walking the dog was not fun. Breakfast ended at 9am.

Overall clean hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Our floor was not loud however my mother’s room was on another floor and it was very noisy/not sound proofed. Cell service and WiFi were very spotty.

Bed was comfy, ac was good. Hotel is old and smells old but its clean. Staff and other guests are cool. Theres a young urban crowd that hangs outside at night but theyre quiet and everyone minds their business. I could see why a traditional conservative family might clutch their pearls

Distance from the hotel to work was great (2 miles). Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and check in/out was super easy. Noise from other rooms was a problem (barking dogs and slamming doors) at all hours. Housekeeping only cleaned my room once in a 5 night stay. Probably wouldn’t rebook again.

Everything was good. The only complaint that I had was the Wi-Fi. The room that I was in I had no service whatsoever, and the Wi-Fi was in and out, so I had to go outside to get service at times. If it wasn’t for that it would’ve gotten five stars from me, but that was the killer for me. Other than that definitely a good stay.

The staff, the guy that works at the front desk. Unbelievable I tried to tell him that my bed was broken and he didn't understand so he hung the phone up on me. So I went down there and said, that's not nice. That's very ignorant. Then I said, give me the number to call cooperation. He gave me a number to the front desk. As I was walking back down there, he laughed in my face there was cockroaches in there, he even yelled at another lady. Because she complained about the cockroach and she wanted to get out with her husband came in there and went off on him.I'm very ignorant, and I will come there again and wouldn't advise anybody to come there

Not sure what folks who paid for early check-in would have done because I arrived at 2:30 and there was a sign stating staff would be back in 15 mins. but they did not arrive until 3:00 on the dot so there was a line waiting. Check-in was quick one I reached the counter and the gentleman waiting on me was cordial. There was one gentleman behind the counter that was not cordial to the customers. Not greeting for speaking much to the customers. My key card didn't work a couple of times and I had to wait until he returned to the desk and he didn't greet me so I told him I needed the car rekeyed and he just took it and gave it back saying "here". He was a black gentlemen and I am African American so not stating this because of his race. I just expect a much more welcome experience when staying at a hotel. There was a desk chair in the room 225 that needs replacing. There is no cushion tot he seat and the leather is peeling. Sharing so that things can be improved for future customers.

The check in experience was very rude… front desk person was very rude and unprofessional… my husband and I were so disappointed… We were using this hotel before so many times and always people who were working were very polite and pleasant… not this time unfortunately…

The room was comfortable and clean. It is not a very quiet hotel. Check In was NOT allowed until 3:00. At 3:00 there was no one at the front desk and five guests were waiting to check in in front of me. I called the main number. A man answered the phone and I let him know that I was there to check in. He stated that check in was not until 3:00. I replied that I understood and that there was no one at the front desk and several guests in the lobby. He yelled check in is at 3:00 and hung up the phone. The young man who did arrive at the front desk was nice and was surprised at all of the complaints the guest waiting had in regards to the previous gentleman they had spoken with as well. One couple gave up waiting and went to another hotel.

We are an older couple who arrived close to midnight. My husband has difficulty walking. For our entire stay, two exceptional young men at the reservation desk, Bharath and Jeevan, made sure we had a ground floor room close to the entry, helped when we couldn't get the TV working, and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. This hotel is very well run and the entire staff is friendly and polite.

Pros: Plenty of free parking Clean room Clean hotel Free breakfast (waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee, muffins) Staff was friendly for the most part Cons: TV in room was very small and picture was even smaller. Pool was not available during my stay but I think it was only temporary. Could not accommodate an extra pillows. Would not give any extra towels unless you handed back your dirty ones. Outside the hotel was infested with jumping spiders so walking the dog was not fun. Breakfast ended at 9am.

Room was just ok. Lighting is bathroom was horrible like dull lights and hard to do your make up. Door to bathroom opened and completely blocked the sink. Breakfast was disorganized and eggs were served cold.

Rooms were not cleaned even though they looked neat but floors were not clean nor smell clean. The beds had a dirty smell and the staff was not so welcoming. Breakfast was not what a Quinta hotel usually presents it was more like a take it or leave it kind of breakfast, example a few red apples no other fruit. White sliced bread no other kind, one yogurt literally in the fridge never mind any other thing besides that one piece of yogurt, coffee didn’t taste like good. Not a choice to consider for our future family gatherings.

We stayed at La Quinta because of sewer problems at the house that took 4 days to diagnose and fix… We were pleasantly impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, we had it all but most importantly we appreciated the bathroom and the shower. The morning breakfast was great too and the waffle station was a plus! Thank you!

Had no problems. Was very nervous, too many bad reviews. But it lived up to 3 star hotel requirements. Room was clean. Area safe, close to long branch beach. Breakfast is super basic.

The employees were very nice but management clearly needs tutorials on how to run a hotel. The hotel which looked more like a 1 star Motel 6 than a Wyndham, seemed to have done understaffing for breakfast purposely to control expenses. Breakfast was very limited and served between 6am and 9am. 1 person was serving up to 40 people between 8-9am. As for cleaning… towels were stained and my bed sheet had a dried blood stain… disgusting! Does management know what bleach is? I would not stay here again, sorry. The place needs better management. The only thing that was positive is its location.

Booked online for a long deluxe- kitchenette. Upon arrival we got a King room. They stated: “since you booked online you got the lowest rate for that room- then continued to tell me they were upgrading me to the deluxe (kitchen) King” (I hat I was already paying for) Then the couple ahead of us didn’t want the room bc it smelled of smoke. Upon telling us they had the room ready they proceeded to let us know there are NO utensils or pots pans or ANYTHING for the kitchen. So that defeated the purpose, and we ended up staying in a double queen room. Still got charges for the king deluxe. Also upon checking in they let us know the pool and hot tub were working. Went to the hot tub and they said it was broke, then said they didn’t reset the dial and it takes a couple hours to heat up and they were told by management not to turn it on bc the pool Closed soon-(it was 7:30 ish) pool closes at 9. Bath towels were extremely stained and gross, housekeeping was very helpful and friendly. My kid spilled water on the one bed so I asked the front desk for a new set for a queen. I received mattress pad, mattress protector, fitted sheet 2 flat sheets and 2 pillow cases. Went to get a blanket or comforter and they went to laundry and didn’t have any. So we slept with 2 flat sheets as cover. I Liked this hotel last year, it was good besides: the pool was down, the people were rude, and they charged me some pet fee which I didn’t have a damn pet. Never got refunded for that either.
