AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

At Queenstown Motor Lodge, travellers describe a budget-friendly, no-frills stay in dated rooms that are generally clean, with limited on-site staffing and straightforward, self-serve processes, best suited to short stopovers rather than comfort-focused trips.

Stayed 3 nights

The room was adequate but quite cold (there was an heater provided), the shower was small and not as hot as we would have liked. It wasn’t soundproof so we could hear all the neighbours. There was never once anyone at reception. When we arrived there was a note saying the key was in our door but we had to ask people in the restaurant where the rooms were as it was 6 and dark and we were tired after a long day driving. I had questions for reception about laundry which we couldn’t ask in person being that there was no person, so I emailed them. I’m atill waiting for an answer. And lastly, when the staff cleaned the room they left a note for us saying ‘please don’t draw on the walls’. There was a mark next to one of the beds but as 2 adults we had not been drawing on the walls. I went to talk to them about it but as usual there was no one at reception. When we left we dropped the key at the reception desk, which was still unmanned.

No hot water at all. No soap in the basin area, kettle had parts missing, coffee cup was dirty, towels were grey in colour with fraying on the ends. Although a budget hotel room, I would still expect things to work and be clean and tidy.
