The Grove

Lovely stay in this Marsden pub - handy for visiting the city of St David’s and ideal location for Wales coast path

Gemütliches Hotel mit Restaurant mit einem „secret garden“, wo man hinter dem Hotel die Sonne geniessen kann. Unser Zimmer war sehr gross mit einem grosszügigen Bad mit einer barrierefreien Dusche. Es hatte viel Tee/ Kaffee und ein bequemes Bett. Im angegliederten Restaurant gibt es eine grosse Auswahl an leckerem Pub-Essen und auch das Frühstück war reichhaltig mit zT frisch zubereiteten Speisen. Alle vom Team waren sehr freundlich. Es gibt reichlich Parkplätze beim Hotel und ganz in der Nähe mehrere Ladestatione für Elektroautos. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden das Hotel sofort erneut buchen.

The staff here are superb, they make up for anything the hotel lacks.

Parking was safe in the hotel car park and shops etc were in close proximity to the hotel. My stay was very comfortable with a spacious en-suite room which was clean. Staff were very friendly,attentive and helpful.

From the second we arrived at the Grove to the second we left my family and I had a wonderful time. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The two double rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel too was clean, spacious and comfortable from the cosy lounge with a pool table and dart board for added entertainment to the lovely, bright dining area. We are breakfast there and enjoyed a variety of breakfasts from continental, cooked to pancakes. All were delicious and catered for all tastes and dietary requirements. Breakfast ran until midday so there was no rush to get up early and as the bed was so comfy that was a blessing. Check in was at 3pm and check out at 11am this again ensured a relaxed departure. Parking for hotel guests is free and you just have to register your car on arrival for the duration of your stay. The hotel is perfectly situated at the top of Saint David's high street as you approach from Solva and is a five minute walk to the shops, restaurants of this beautiful city and a few minutes more to the cathedral. All are accessible for walkers, walking sticks and prams. The city and it's surrounding area has much to offer from the cathedral, working wooden mills, fascinating sea cruises (highly recommended,) the pretty town of Solva and many coastal and beach walks. Our only complaint was that we didn't have longer to stay at the Grove and the beautiful city of Saint David's.
