Great location with good parking rates. Hotel was in fine condition. Bed was surprisingly VERY comfortable, better than some other high end hotels. Was a great location for the KICC.

Considering several other hotels around Econolodge were $300+ per night the weekend we stayed, we were thrilled to pay $80 per night. Of course we were not expecting a five star experience, but the bed was comfortable, it was clean, and the room was a decent size. The fridge and microwave were a nice bonus too. The staff were friendly. Parking price was reasonable. It’s literally attached to a liquor store, which could throw some people off, but there were no issues at all; it’s actually convenient to have a store so close. Area was walkable to restaurants and bars on Main. I’d stay here again considering the price.

Hotel is convenient to interstates and downtown Louisville restaurants, ballgames and conventions. Plus, it's a fraction of the competition's prices. Inexpensive surface parking is an added benefit, if you need to come and go. It is what it is. A basic motel that provides you the basics.

Checking in was smooth and easy the parking for $5.00 was unexpected. The hotel was fine for a one night state for a concert at a cheap rate. But needs some updating bathroom was a bit small, bedding and towels where some what stained/ discolored. Elevator I had to hold my breath due to it pausing a few times thinking it was going to stop and not be able to get out. Free breakfast was wall mart cheap pastries with a weird pan cake maker. $100 a night was way to much for this property. Again in a pinch for a a concert and not caring about the say its a good spot.

I booked this hotel through Expedia. When I checked in, the clerk told me that there would be $5/day charge for parking - this seemed reasonable as the larger hotel chains charge a lot more. When I went to check out, I asked for a receipt for the parking because it was not on the Expedia bill. This clerk had a hard time understanding what I was asking for and told me that there would be no receipt. I have no problem with a reasonable parking fee - what I take exception to is not being able to get a receipt for the parking.

Bedding was dirty and had human hair on the blanket. Pubic hair was in the shower and some bugs crawling in the tub. We requested fresh bedding but wasn’t able to provide because it was already locked up. The blanket was filthy. The exterior door had light coming through from the door knob to the floor. I’m surprised Expedia had this hotel as a choice.

The room was clean, but the room was extremely hot when we got in it which led to a smell. There was constant sirens from police. It didn’t feel like the safest surroundings. Overall the room was nice but spilled water and when I cleaned it up, the towel was black so they need to mop the floors.

My family and I were very disappointed with our stay. The linens and walls were dirty, and it was bad enough that we didn’t even feel comfortable showering there. Thankfully, it was just for one night. The only positives were that the beds were comfortable and the AC worked. Because of the cleanliness issues, we had to sleep on top of the beds fully dressed in hoodies, sweatpants, and socks.

When entrance door is closed large gap around it, floor was filthy socks was black after walking on it. Strange odor. Staff was good, the made sure unregistered people were kept off property. Breakfast was below average but okay.

Room was dirty, when I checked in there were napkins from Chipotle on the TV stand and trash on the floor in the bathroom. There was no carpeting on the floor, it was some kind of laminate. It needed to be mopped, my feet got dirty just walking through the room. Breakfast was OK, just a basic continental breakfast. Although the Omni is right across the street, this must be in a bad area. I checked in after 10:00 PM and the door to the front desk was locked. I had to check in through a tiny slot through which I passed my credit card and ID. On a positive note, there were no bedbugs. Pubs and dining are within walking distance.

Perfect affordable place to stay! It is such a convenient location within walking distance of many nearby businesses, friendly staff, clean room with a BALCONY that I was not expecting. Noisy road is my only complaint, and that’s the price you pay for being so close to everything, so it’s worth it in my opinion! I would recommend staying here .

Solid basic serviceable hotel. Had issues with WIFI, which kept dropping out likely due to all rooms being full. I liked the non-carpeted floors. Feels 'cleaner' with vinyl. Good mattress and pillows. Excellent water pressure in the shower.

This is a classic "you get what you pay for" hotel. Nothing fancy, kind of rundown, but very affordable especially for this area. It's within easy walking distance to the KICC and a number of great restaurants. But there was a constant parade of motorcycles, monster trucks, and street racers all night long. Loudest hotel I ever stayed at. Had to sleep with headphones on.

Posetive: Nice personal and nice rooms, its is cheap. Negative: Tou could hear the road quite clearly, even the alarms from the neighbourgs alarm in the moorning if you were up (not so loudly you would wake ip from it). Overall, a really good place for its price.

Comfortable stay in downtown Louisville. Downtown sounds a little loud. Convenient free parking. Wifi abysmally poor. Might be better closer to office. Bed comfortable; shower great. Floor could be cleaner. Great for our needs (except for the wifi)--needed something economical close to the convention center.

I went to a work party in the area and got back to my room about 12:30 am. My room key(s) were not working so I went to the front desk to try to have them help me get in and the front door was locked. It was after midnight and I knocked several times and no one answered so I tried to open the door. The front desk clerk finally came out and was extremely rude, mean, and downright scary. He was literally screaming at me, accusing me of trying to break the door! I was shocked and very intimidated. All I did was knock and try to turn the handle!!. He finally took my key card and fixed it but did not apologize. I’m appalled that someone would treat me that way just for trying to get help to get into the room I paid for. I called the one 800 number to report the incident and I do have to say that the gentleman that answered my call was extremely polite and helpful and promised me that the situation would be addressed.

Please save your time and money. I don’t normally complain about hotels but this one was just unacceptable. One person running the front desk and breakfast and watching his kid all at the same time, he could not keep breakfast stocked and I left starving. The ice machine is boarded up and pad locked. There was hair on our “clean” towels. Room was run down and the ceiling was bowing. Too many things to list here. I requested a refund for my one night and the owner refused. They aren’t concerned about customer satisfaction.

Trip was booked through Hotels.com and I have the reservation confirmation with me. I reserved a room for 2 days. Again I had the confirmation with me. My family and I went tto the events we wanted to see on Saturday and when we came back my card would not work. I went to the front desk and asked if they could rescan the card because it does not work. The front desk clerk decided to berate me and told me I did not tell them I was staying two days. I just happened to have the confirmation paper on me and I showed him. He then said that it was my responsibility to tell them when I checked in and paid for my room that I was going to stay for the two days. I asked why I should have to since I had a confirmation of two days. He again became very aggrivated with me and told me that it is always the customers responsibility to tell the front desk what my plans are for the next day. I take this as I am supposed to tell them when and where I am going. I asked if that was correct. His response is that it is the customers responsibiliyu to tell the front desk what their plans are. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM RENTING A ROOM FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Simply no hospitality, Card says 6 am breakfast so i go down, and behind the window, the guy tells me, no it starts at 7, I show him the card I received at check in and he says, no they should no have given that to you, then gets the same card and writes over the 6. LOL. seriously. Rude as you can imagine. We made it work but this is a no go place.

Considering several other hotels around Econolodge were $300+ per night the weekend we stayed, we were thrilled to pay $80 per night. Of course we were not expecting a five star experience, but the bed was comfortable, it was clean, and the room was a decent size. The fridge and microwave were a nice bonus too. The staff were friendly. Parking price was reasonable. It’s literally attached to a liquor store, which could throw some people off, but there were no issues at all; it’s actually convenient to have a store so close. Area was walkable to restaurants and bars on Main. I’d stay here again considering the price.

Very close to whiskey road. Close to downtown, makes everything walkable. Also it was very easy to jump on the expressway to hit any of the attractions around Louisville.

The hotel is downtown and close to a lot of restaurants. However, the homeless population made us uneasy to walk too far with our family. There were a few bumps with our check in process since English was the second language for the staff and we weren't told of a daily parking fee prior to arrival. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The parking lot was very bright, which made us feel safer with the number of homeless around. The continental breakfast was ok; pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, toast, bagels, fruit, juice and coffee.

Meh - it wasn’t completely horrible. I honestly didn’t expect much from an Econolodge so my expectations were already so-so. Not terribly dirty, the hard surfaces were clean but the linens (bedding, towel, pillow cases) showed stains. The bottom of the shower curtain was mildewed. It looked like most of the rooms were smoke free but the smell of Marijuana was prominent when walking outside of the rooms in the walkway and in the parking lot. The immediate area was kind of rough but we never felt unsafe. The rate we got was reasonable for the location. We didn’t partake in the continental breakfast but when checking out I could smell waffles, so even though there isn’t much to the breakfast bar, it smelled like they did have a waffle maker.

Can’t beat the location. Lots of people rev engines and drive like maniacs in the middle of the night, so, other than that it was a fantastic value and I would stay there every time I come to Louisville.

The motel was very convenient and you could walk to most places and their continental breakfast was fresh and they even had a pancake machine which I thought was cool. But if you are looking for a updated nice motel this is not your place. It was in need of updating badly!

The rooms were adequate. Comfy bed and pillows, good heat/ac. Shower head was hanging out of a broken wall but it had good pressure. Bad shampoo/conditioner, bring your own. Breakfast was constantly out of food and coffee and there was only one person working. Pancake machine was broken having trouble. Limited food options for Breakfast included bagels/pancakes/muffins/cereal/yogurt, no protein or hot items other than pancakes. The outside of the hotel was run down and the were homeless people on the property asking for help. The price and location were great and I would stay there again because it has all the basic requirements for a hotel and it was very affordable. Noisy street out front but HVAC fan muted the noise.

The room conditions are not meeting with standards for cleanliness. The floors are disgusting - my socks (or feet) had to be washed each time they touched the hard surfaces of the floors. They have not been mopped in a very long time. The shower was spraying all over the place as well. The door don’t really shut all the way so everything is heard outside. The cleaning staff banged on my door and immediately tried entering even though I was staying 2 nights. The bed was comfortable and the parking was nice. The price is great but not great enough for the disgusting floors.
