This hotel is next to a company that begins very early in the morning, loading various gases and chemical cylinders. Our room was on that side of the hotel, so at 6:00 am, we woke up to this noise. Our room had a roach issue --only tiny ones inside the coffee maker and on the desk. The weekday evening drinks served at the desk are very nice.

The hotel was cozy and served its purpose, a safe and relatively cheap place to stay. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, both check-out and check-in were smooth and fast. The gym is reasonably stocked in equipment for a visiting traveler who may want to stay on their routine, but obviously not as extravagant as an actual gym. The amenities provided were more than sufficient in my opinion. My only complaint is that the rooms were a bit humid and honestly felt moist on the floors/carpet, and sometimes even the bed sheets as you lied down for the day. Not all the time, but enough for it to be a concern in regard to a smell that might linger on your clothes (socks on your feet as you step on the carpet for example).

The inital room that we were put in was dirty. Trash, crumbs everywhere. The chairs where put in the middle of the room between the beds like someone had been watch television. I went back the front desk and the young man profusly apologized and put us in a clean room. He stated that the computer system had been messed up. He stated that it had happened several times. We have a family Renuion once every 2 years and this is our families go to. I doubt we return next year. The entire hotel had a "damp smell" and cigarettes in the pool.

Stay was good until we found a stain on our sheets. Couldn't tell if it was blood or poop. Called downstairs to be told they would give us another one if i went downstairs to get it. So we went downstairs, got the sheet and changed it ourselves. Did get an apology in the morning and small credit towards the room. Other than that, stay was good.

The hotel and especially the room had a strong musty smell. We had to keep the air temperature low so the compressor would remove humidity from the room. We kept the bathroom exhaust fan on at all times for the same purpose. We burned a scented candle to mask the awful musty smell.

We checked in friday night as we were getting ready for bed watching TV i see something moving on the tv console. I got up close to confirm and there was at least 4-5 roaches crawling everywhere ! I called the front desk and she gave me keys to another room as soon as i opened the door there was it was stairing at me. I went back down and told her this one had roaches in it too. She then offered to move me to the first floor where we couldnt possibly fit myself, husband and 2 children in one bed or try a third room on the 2nd floor. It was way... too late and we were all exhausted. The only other solution was check out and they would refund me. This hotel is disgusting. Dont stay here ! This is also not a new problem there is an infestation.

They gave us a room beside the elevator..noisy ALL night. There was no plug for the tub. The coffee pods for the ONE cup brewer were 4 cup size. The breakfast options were slim. It's clean and safe.

there was a misunderstanding on room type reservation- i thought i reserved a 2-queen beds suite with a pull out sofa bed, ref and microwave. come to find out the room reserved was only a standard room of 2 queen beds. i ended up upgrading room typecto accommodate family needs. the staff/receptionist during check in was awesomely very helpful and accommodating. we are very appreciative of her kind accommodation.

Amazing. 5 star experience on a 3 star budget! Hotel is brand new, spotless and staff is fantastic. The breakfast was THE BEST we’ve had - and we’ve traveled across the US twice on this trip so that’s saying a lot. Great, safe hotel to recharge. Everybody is super nice, accommodating and thoughtful. I’d give ten stars if I could.

The first thing I noticed was a strong moldy oder in the lobby. This was prevelent throughout the hotel.. Maybe due to being at the ocean. The first room I was assigned to was open when I got there and someone had taken a nap in the bed. Trash was over flowing with drink cans and trash. When I went back to the lobby the front desk person did not seem surprised and I received no apology. I did get a new room assigned which was clean and uninhabited. Breakfast the next morning was very good.

This property is very pretty. The staff was very nice. However our room had an ac leak and wreaked of mold. The carpet was wet where it had been leaking. Breakfast was good Saturday but Sunday they were understaffed and there was no breakfast at all by 9am

The room was good and so was the breakfast! Had some family business to take care of and a bay to go see. The La Quinta of Port Lavaca was a great place to spend a couple of nights.

We had to move rooms because the door would not lock. Seemed to be a common occurrence. The breakfast was cold as was the coffee. Not sure i would stay there again.

Room smelled bad of urine. No breakfast in the morning all ladies in front would say is no one put the order in so there is no breakfast available. No apologies no nothing.

Overall not a bad place to stay the night. My main complaint is that the ac did not cool down the room enough. Woke up in the middle of the night hot even though I set the temp down to 61.

It served it's purpose for one night before we got up early to go fishing. The ceiling in the bathroom was stained horribly with something black; I don't THINK it was mold but something was definitely going on. The mattress was terrible for my husband but it didn't bother me too bad. The room did stay pretty cold which we liked and the front desk woman was very nice. I'd still stay again if I had to.
