The entire place needs to be refurbished ! Our room keys would not work and when we told front desk she said” well did you jiggle it!? yes, I tried both keys and many times. Usually a person trained as a front desk person wouldsay “ we will check it as soon as possible.” Also the room smelt like a perfume bottle had broken. I suffer from migraines and it was late and all booked rooms so we were stuck . Breakfast Sun very bad!! Eggs were rubbery, no yogurt or milk. It seemed just a reheat from yesterday. Not edible Our refrigerator was full of liquid, had to use several towels and there was only 3 in the room for 6 person occupants. Everything about the hotel was old and needed a good cleaning and remodel. I would not recommend this Red Lion!

Compared to other hotels I have stayed at, at triple the cost, this hotel and staff far outshine all others. The pool was well maintained. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and super quiet. The beds were comfortable. I was extremely impressed and will stay again. Highly recommend.

Friendly/welcoming staff!! Breakfast consists of coffe/juice, eggs with cheese, sausage gravy, sausage patty, biscuits, and fried potatoes (which was all really yummy), and make it yourself waffles with all the condiments. Pool area was CLEAN, and relaxing. We stay here every weekend, and always have a good experience.

Although the building is older than the ones I have recently stayed in other cities, the lobby and my room were clean. Plenty of parking with the lot well lit. Breakfast was provided even though I did not eat at the hotel. Check in staff member was friendly and apologized for the guest laundry being under repair. The location was perfect for my needs in a one night stay.

The elevator was slow and not working well at all. Had to use stairs to bring bags down. Hotel had a great breakfast. Friendly staff. But waiting on elevator and 7 people trying to bring stuff down is a very inconvenience.

The staff was very helpful, as much as they could be. However there were multiple issues with the available amenities. The quality of the towels in the room were awful- threadbare and very scratchy. One of our room's curtains had slashes all through it, so it did nothing to block light, and there were pinholes in another room's drape. There was no filtered water available AT ALL on the premesis- either for free or to pay for, because their water fountain was broken and they ran out of water bottles for the entire 3 days we were there. Their vending machine was also broken, so you couldn't get any sort of drink at all while at the hotel, There were no lids for the coffee cups available, and we had to ask every single day for lids for the paper to go cups so we could actually take our room coffee cups with us. The pool and hot tub were pretty dirty with leaves and stuff, could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a couple days.

The young woman that checked us in was very nice and pleasant. Once in the room there are stains all over the carpet, some type of wrapper on the ceiling, mold in the bathroom. The smell of musky or mold was very strong as well. Room needs to be completely overhauled.

NEVER. STAY. HERE. In 72 hrs, Jennifer (manager) STILL has not contacted myself or my parents regarding reported issues to the front-desk staff. They found what appeared to be blood on their sheet AND my mother, unfortunately, pulled up her down-comforter and stated, "it smells like straight-piss!!" -CONS- Bathroom: Towels are stained/dirty, thin and scratchy as the tissue (see below). Chipped/cracked floor tiles, super-hot lighting, holes/moldy caulking, hole/moldy wall, malfunctioning shower, toilet BARELY flushed after holding handle down. VERY small/tight space in King/Queen restroom. Bedroom: Hole/stains in carpet, A/C malfunctioning (TX in JULY!! Set at 60*, actual room temp 74*), chipped furniture. ULTRA-ULTA THIN 1-ply tissue (the worst)!! Bedding/Linen: Large tear AND brown stains on top sheet and on pillow-top mattress protector. Breakfast: 3 out of 10, AT BEST. Very "blah" and not plentiful at all. Our families arrived during the stated breakfast time, to be told by staff "we ran out of food, and I don't know when my truck is". STRONG SUGGESTIONS: ~RENOVATE! ~Your housekeeping staff needs to recognize raggedy/stained items during laundry duty and REMOVE these items to go to the garbae/rag pile!! ~Manager needs to be held accountable for not returning contact/messages left by paying-customers. -PROS- We're alive to tell the story. Bed/Mattresses were VERY comfortable (no bed bugs or roaches noted during the stay). Good luck IF you choose "this" place.

The staff was great and that’s about it. Ants all over the first floor and crickets in the beds. Roaches also seen in the hallway. The wall trim was lose thru the entire room and bugs entered the bathroom and main room. Told the staff they were not too concerned. Breakfast was terrible too just reheated food except the waffle machine. The OJ was so watered down. And on top of that there was a baseball tournament going on so the prices were ridiculous

The so called "suite" on the 3rd floor (where the suites are we were told), had a horrible stale smoke smell. The sheets on both beds had stains with hair as well (took picture to show the front desk associate). Went down to request a new room and showed her the pic. She graciously offered us a room on the 2nd floor that actually was just as big as the one on the 3rd floor. The room was much cleaner compared to the other one. Unfortunately, we will not be staying there if we ever pass through the area.

We’ve stayed here quite a few times. Sadly, the last two times we noticed a lot of wear and tear. During this visit the tub was moldy, the room curtain and shower curtain were torn, there were only 2 hangars, no hair dryer and no Kleenex.

I think this a decent hotel that was nice and clean at a reasonable price. When we checked in, they made it known there were a lot of policies related to baseball teams staying there for what I assume was tournaments held at Rocker B Ranch. That was fined. That was the reason my family was there. That being said, having a breakfast that starts at 7 is a real inconvenience. We couldn’t get breakfast at the hotel on either day we were there because of the time we had to be at the field. Even just having some cold breakfast options and coffee would be nice. My more serious issue is the mattresses were pretty worn out. We had 3 other friends staying in the hotel that all said the same thing.
I think this a decent hotel that was nice and clean at a reasonable price. When we checked in, they made it known there were a lot of policies related to baseball teams staying there for what I assume was tournaments held at Rocker B Ranch. That was fined. That was the reason my family was there. That being said, having a breakfast that starts at 7 is a real inconvenience. We couldn’t get breakfast at the hotel on either day we were there because of the time we had to be at the field. Even just having some cold breakfast options and coffee would be nice. My more serious issue is the mattresses were pretty worn out. We had 3 other friends staying in the hotel that all said the same thing.

Shower water trickled. The location is convenient for my needs, so I stay here, but after it became red lion, the place went down. Curtains in the rooms are broken and hanging down. It’s really depressing. But the front desk staff is nice. First floor is noisy with parking. They need to at least repair the plumping and curtains.

Clean but dated. Suite Rooms were large. Breakfast was good and hot not continental. Good selection....sausage and bacon cheesy scrambld eggs biscuits and gravy and of course waffles. Nice hotel for the price. Compares well to a comfort inn.

Everything was pretty well except the AC was really noisy. I want to give a shout out to the front desk attendant when I checked in, her name was Keke, hopefully I am spelling it right. She was absolutely delightful and super friendly and answered all of my questions I had. Thanks again keke!

The hotel is okay, my TV did not work and never did the whole time I was there even though they tried to fix it. They upgraded to Smart TVs but couldn't get any of the remotes to work. So make sure your TV works and remote before you settle in.

I had a room on the second floor, and for most of the day and evening, there was a tremendous amount of noise above my room. Not sure if it was other booked rooms or hotel personnel, but it was loud. I did not register a complaint, because it eventually settled in time for me to sleep. But, had I chosen to work in my room during the day, it would have been very distracting/annoying. Bed was OK, a little soft for my taste. The staff at checkin were courteous and offered their services if I needed anything. Overall, the hotel was as expected for its age, price and location.

Check in is at 3pm, we arrived at 1:30pm asking for early check in. While I understand that is not always doable, I do expect the staff to be more welcoming and accommodating. The girl at the counter didnt let me finish asking if we could check in early before she started shaking her head "no" then said they had several late check outs and wouldn't be able to check us in early at all. She didnt offer to allow us to wait in the lobby, get some coffee or water, nothing. Just said to come back at 3. We arrived at 3, went to our room and the door was wide open. I noticed no towels or Toiletries in the bathroom so I called the front desk and the same girl answered advising their towel stock is low but room service would restock once available and at that time I could ask for Toiletries. 2 minutes later, housekeeping opened our door, no knock no nothing. She wondered why we were in there because she said our room wasnt ready. This was extremely frustrating because the front desk should have known better to give us a room that wasnt ready. Another issue, there were several tiny roaches found alive and running about in the bathroom. We discovered one stowed away in my makeup bag and made its way home with us. The floors are thin, we heard people walking all night long. The breakfast was not well attended. The selection was lacking because whoever was supposed to tend to the food wasnt doing it well. They were out of biscuits, sausage, and orange juice. Will never stay here again.

I cannot rate the hotel or amenities because my room was given away to someone else before I arrived. They had no other rooms so I had to go to the Best Western up the road, which I found to be great. My advice, skip Red Lion and go to Best Western.

Booked the room several weeks in advance because we were going to be in town for a little league baseball tournament. At 7pm, while at the game, we get a call saying they overbooked and didn’t have a room for us. You’d think they’d let you know by 3pm, check in time, but no. This left us scrambling for another hotel room very last minute. We ended up having to stay 40min from the tournaments and had to pay $200 more for two nights. The next day I got a voicemail that we hadn’t signed the check in paperwork. I called and told them we hadn’t checked in and why. They had my phone number registered with a different person staying there, which seems strange to me. Will be watching my bank account for the next few days go make sure they don’t charge us for the weekend stay.

The check in staff was dismissive and rude. The rooms are old and patch work has visibly been done. There are other newer hotels in the area that we would suggest staying in over this hotel. The other hotels did not populate when searching for hotels in the area.

Kiki at the front desk was great! Check in was easy and we had a room on the first floor which was great as I could look out our window and keep An eye on our bikes etc. She also told me about several restaurants in the area that gave discounts with our room key.

Mikeulyn was AMAZING! BEST SERVICE we have had at red lion and we stay a couple of times a year. Quick and easy check in and made sure we had anything we needed.

Great spread for breakfast. Close to town and the rooms were quiet (not a lot of ambient room noise). Ask about the partnerships with local businesses to see what discounts you can get around town. Last, one of our kids got sick during our visit and the staff was incredibly helpful.

Although the building is older than the ones I have recently stayed in other cities, the lobby and my room were clean. Plenty of parking with the lot well lit. Breakfast was provided even though I did not eat at the hotel. Check in staff member was friendly and apologized for the guest laundry being under repair. The location was perfect for my needs in a one night stay.

The staff was super friendly and easy to work with. We had absolutely no issues with check in or check out. The shopping around Mineral Wells, Tx square was fun. Situated on the edge of town, but still close enough to everything we needed. The place was clean and quiet. We loved it there!

The entire place needs to be refurbished ! Our room keys would not work and when we told front desk she said” well did you jiggle it!? yes, I tried both keys and many times. Usually a person trained as a front desk person wouldsay “ we will check it as soon as possible.” Also the room smelt like a perfume bottle had broken. I suffer from migraines and it was late and all booked rooms so we were stuck . Breakfast Sun very bad!! Eggs were rubbery, no yogurt or milk. It seemed just a reheat from yesterday. Not edible Our refrigerator was full of liquid, had to use several towels and there was only 3 in the room for 6 person occupants. Everything about the hotel was old and needed a good cleaning and remodel. I would not recommend this Red Lion!

Friendly/welcoming staff!! Breakfast consists of coffe/juice, eggs with cheese, sausage gravy, sausage patty, biscuits, and fried potatoes (which was all really yummy), and make it yourself waffles with all the condiments. Pool area was CLEAN, and relaxing. We stay here every weekend, and always have a good experience.

The wall trim was lose thru the entire room and bugs entered the bathroom and main room. Told the staff they were not too concerned. Breakfast was terrible too just reheated food except the waffle machine. The OJ was so watered down. And on top of that there was a baseball tournament going on so the prices were ridiculous

We reserved this location due to the breakfast. When we went downstairs for breakfast, nothing was stocked and all coffee pots were empty or the coffee was cold. We also did not have a shower curtain in our room. When we mentioned it to the front desk, he advised me that that was the responsibility of the housekeepers.

Room walls were dirty. Sing faucet was loose and not connected to vanity. Multiple lights out in the bathroom. Breakfast offered was pretty poor and not very good. If we are ever back in the area we won’t stay here again.

Fought issues with internet every night. We had a smart tv with no cable so you had to log in to apps all the time but most of the time you couldn’t get the internet to stay on. Took 2 days to watch a movie. 2nd time staying here in two months. First time was good. 2nd time not so much.

There were 3 roach type bugs in the room. This hotel definitely needs some work. We were on the 2nd floor and there was a big hole in the ceiling. Not impressed at all.

This hotel is really in need of a renovation. The tile in the elevator is held down by duct tape, the carpets in the room are severely dirty/stained, the tile in the bathroom is loose, the grout is all broken & missing, the sink was cracked, the vanity had places where the stain & varnish were worn off and the bathroom had the worst lighting I have ever encountered in a hotel. Outside, the landscaping has been neglected. The owners need to start putting some money back into their property before it falls into complete ruin.
