La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Broussard - Lafayette Area

We got a call at 9 pm telling us that we had been moved to another hotel (Best Western) due to a maintenance emergency. BW was much farther, had no hot tub and couldn't give us the king bed we had booked. When I asked at BW if they knew the emergency was, I was told that they were resurfacing the tubs.... not an emergency.

Staff and facilities were great, even when the power surged and the elevator broke along eith all the door locks stopped working the staff was very helpful and helped everyone get into their rooms.

The only major problem is there was no cable during my stay. No TV is not acceptable. Only entertainment was the pool. Fitness room was closed also.

Breakfast was great. Rooms were nice. Front desk was great. They were fixing the elevator one day but everything else was perfect

Even with the property being under a major remodel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had pre-paid my one night stay through Expedia. However, when I arrived the virtual card Expedia assigned to pay the hotel was not working. We were between games at a baseball tournament. They were very accommodating and let me check in to our room and took care of the issue with Expedia. We stay here often on Baseball tournament weekends. Our room was newly renovated. It was comfortable and clean. It needs a few more final touch ups, but nothing that was a detriment to our stay.

Looks like New owner ship not to please with it. Elevator was broken and to walk 3 flights of stairs to my suite on 3rd floor

This stay was a disappointment. Active remodel going on. The work is not being managed well. Messy, repair sites halfway done all over the place, remodel supplies are being allowed to be dumped all over. Manager and contractor are doing a poor job of keeping the place aesthetically pleasing to guest staying there.

Very clean room. It smelled great.

When I arrived they took forever to find my reservation and then had to wait as housekeeping had not finished. I pulled the sheets back to go to bed and discovered there was blood on the sheets, pillow case and the wall. Completely unacceptable! I would never recommend this hotel

We had two rooms. They both reeked of the smell of MOLD. And yes, I know what it smells like.

Woke up next to a roach in the bed. Front desk staff was helpful . Day shift & night shift were nice and accommodating.

Our room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable.

The refrigerator had rust inside it and was freezing drinks. The shower also had rust, the toilet would hardly flush you have ti hold the handle down for anything to go down. The keycards would just stop working. The room phones didnt work when i tried to call the office. When i made a complaint about the room above me jumping and stomping around all hours of the night nothing was done. The shower curtain rod was coming out if the wall and the shower curtain woudnt stay closed. The smoke detector was falling out of the ceiling.

Staff & Service: Check-in was quick, staff were pleasant, and service matched the straightforward nature of the property. Location & Surroundings: Think “airport hotel” energy—functional but not a destination in itself. Restaurants and shops are conveniently located. Value for Money: Comfort-wise, the hotel delivers. Price-wise, it feels slightly high. A nightly rate of $70–$85 would better reflect the offering, but the mattress alone might convince some guests to pay more. Recommendations Final Word: A three-star hotel with a five-star mattress—come here to sleep well, not to be wowed.

The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable.

Our room was very clean and everything looked nice and now. The only downside was that our AC would not get the room below about 74 degrees and the elevator was a bit sketchy.

Only complaint was room 111 hears the knocking of the elevator, so every time it was used I would sit straight up thinking someone was knocking on the door.

Rooms were not as listed on website. No microwave in room as listed on website, and when front desk was asked their response was “Oh yeah, there should be one in there but you can just use the one in the lobby.” Rooms were muggy and hot, and the air conditioner thermostat was locked to where you could not go below 68 degrees. Shout out to you tube, where I found a video to bypass the locked thermostat around 1:30-2:00 am when nobody in our room could sleep because it was so hot. Will not be staying here again

Phone didn't work. Internet is hard to join.

It was extremely hot. I booked 2 rooms, both of the rooms had issues. The air conditioner was not working properly at ALL. By the time maintenance show up it was time to go. Both rooms had air conditioning issues and the microwave was out in the other.

When we checked in we were given a room on the first floor next to the elevator. After driving 16 hours straight we were exhausted and were not able to sleep due to the noise. The hotel was filled with young aged children of various baseball teams. The halls were extremely noisy and hotel staff didn’t seem to have any control. However, the next day the staff did find us a quiet room which was great.

We had a nice stay while we were in town for a wedding. The room was large, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The only minor complaint was that there was a baseball tournament and they all got up early. We could hear them running up and down the halls.

Front desk staff welcoming and really cared about guests. Nice breakfast and quiet hotel. Clean and spacious. Comfy bed and super fast WiFi.

When we arrived, after already doing Pre-check-in on my phone on the way, I had to stand there for about 20 minutes till the employee got off the phone to check us in. Then I was told our room was not available. The hotel had over booked and they had no double bed rooms available. She offered us a single king room for the 4 of us like that would be even closely acceptable, not! After several phone calls and going back and forth with her for another 30 minutes, she gave us another person's double bed room that had not checked in yet. I do not know what happened when that person showed up. Also during the breakfast the next morning, there were bugs in the cereal dispenser.

The staff is friendly and professional. I had a minor issue with my room, and it was taken care of quickly and correctly. I would gladly recommend this property to anyone.

They bumped our reservation…no room when we got there…then we’re not helpful finding us a new place and it was after 10pm

Clerk took 25 minutes to check us in. Did not listen to customer request and had to redo check in all over. Taking phone calls while “trying l to help customer

I checked in but was marked as a NoShow then was charged twice for my stay. The staff said it ‘might’ fall of in 5-7 business days. Asked to speak to property manager, was told she would Call me when she came in. 3 days later and I still Have not heard from her. Main office said the location had to take care of it, location said bank had to take care of it. Bank said main office has to take care of it. All I know is I’m out 300 more than I should be.

I booked through hotels.com and paid when I reserved on August 3rd. My bank account shows the payment went through. I checked out today and get a phone call shortly after saying that they were never paid through hotels.com so the hotel charged me for my stay as well. So either hotels.com stole from me or La Quinta did....either way, i was screwed out of money

Brandi the front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. My room was clean, spacious, and my bed was comfortable. The area around the property is safe and quiet. I would most definitely stay here again. Outstanding customer service.

The manager was great in a resolving a small problem I encountered with one staff member, but the rest of the staff were so friendly, professional and courteous etc. The Hotel was super clean and beautiful.. I would definitely stay in this hotel next time we visit Louisiana.. Thank you! 😊

The hotel is well located in a nice residential area. A number of restaurants are located in its neighborhood.

The rooms were fine. Breakfast was not anything great. Same thing both days except the second day there was no orange juice. Multiple people asked the girl up front about it. She kept telling us she would fill it up soon. She was busy eating with her boyfriend. Also the elevators were not working.

Love the workout equipment and the breakfast in the morning. Facility had everything the I liked and really nothing that I did not like

Everything was great except the breakfast and it would have been delicious it would have been if it would have been hot.

Everything was great about the stay except for the price of the snacks & drinks. I feel their prices are way too high & they overcharged a 20ounce soda at over $4 I would not have paid this much if they had any of their prices on their products. I’m not happy about what I would call price gouging from a very nice hotel.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. Dirty room. Dirty top cover. Old biscuits at breakfast. Gravy was burnt almost gone. Waffle mix gone. It was free, but I had hoped for a little bit better. At check out (8 am), no one was there and there was a sign that sais sit down and wait. I was running to a business appointment. Asked another employee when the person will be back because I had to get to a meeting. He was dismmive and told me that i had no choice but wait. After over 15 minutes, i had to go or get fired. Thanks for the anxious start to my day! I left the key and I hope you don't add charges to my credit card or we will speak again

Checkin was quick and easy. Room was very comfortable, bathroom clean and a great selection of channels on the tv. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection of choices both hot and cold. Checkout was a breeze.
