Room was decent. Bed was uncomfortable but the horrible part is the parking. Didn’t realize you had to park 2 blocks away when booking. Had I known I would not have stayed. Plus no elevator so you are hauling your luggage upstairs.

We did not know there would be formidable flights of stairs to climb as the hotel has no elevator. Also, parking is 2 blocks away. The surrounding area of downtown Glendale is nice, but 2 blocks is 2 blocks! Otherwise our suite was nicely appointed and clean as a whistle. Comfortable beds. Cute place, nicely renovated, but being in the city we did see a bug or two. Staff was on it.

No attached parking and no elevator even thought the lobby is located on the second floor was extremely inconvenient. Other than that, everything was really nice. The pictures are just as the finished product. Would stay again if only they correct the elevator and parking situation.

Please note: THERE IS NO ELEVATOR and this is NOT a ground-floor building. The steps are many and very, very steep. Also, the parking area is down an alley and across a considerable parking lot. The parking area itself is also located in a dark, alley-like space. This parking situation costs me $8 a day PLUS 1 --$50 parking ticket. I had to plan my day to have the car returned before it got dark in order to feel safe. Walking in front of the building was pleasurable and safe. The hotel itself is in a great location and near many restaurants and shopping.

The second I entered the hotel there was a damp and mildewy smell throughout. The hotel did not have an elevator, so I had to climb two sets of stairs with my luggage to get to the front lobby. The parking was behind the alleyway, so I did not feel safe after parking my car and walking back to the hotel. The 1st room I stayed in smelled like a sewer, so I asked to be moved. The 2nd room was very noisy between the pipes and the loud noise the AC unit made. The fire alarm above the bed kept beeping all night and there was some sort of drilling happening outside the hotel room at 2am in the morning. The furniture and walls were dirty and stained. I chose this property due to great reviews on Expedia, which I now feel were fake since I had the opportunity to see the property with my own eyes. The only reason I didn't leave was because I got in at 10:30pm and was there for the night. I will never stay at this property again. Please think twice before booking a room at the Brand Plaza Hotel. It's a total dump!!

This is a great hotel in Glendale close walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I love staying here, the service is great, it's very clean, and cozy like home. The price isn't bad either. There is parking available for 8 bucks a night which is a steal for the area. I would warn that there isn't a elevator, I don't mind because there is only 2 floors. Staying here for the holidays is great because the Americana mall has all the holiday vibes and it's close by.

The room I reserved did not match the one I was given. I had specifically chosen the bedroom for its decoration, so I was quite disappointed upon entering. The front desk clerk informed me that my selected room was unavailable, and instead, I was assigned a bland, room. Had I known this particular room wouldn’t be available, I would not have booked at all—especially since I paid extra. Moreover, room #105 was located right next to the front desk, resulting in constant noise from people coming and going throughout the night. The traffic noise from the main road was also unbearable. The carpet in the bedroom was old and dirty with visible patches glue on and the room had an unpleasant odor. There was visible trash under the bed, and the air conditioner was so loud that it had to be turned off. The bedding featured labels from a different hotel, The pillows and mattress were hard and uncomfortably and overall, my stay was a complete nightmare. I didn’t sleep at all because I clearly heard a rat making noise and I was terrified. I truly hated it.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. One of the worst we have ever stayed at. Pros: friendly and helpful staff Great location. Cons: Very dirty, carpets all around were very dirty, and the whole hotel has a very bad smell. Made it very hard to stay even when the ac was on the smell lingered around. The bed had a huge sink hole in the middle & was the worse nights sleep I've had in 15 years..... I read some other reviews, the water pipes weren't loud, the other guests in the hallway weren't loud..... there was a bum sleeping next to the entrance all night but he wasn't bothering anyone. The steps are steep.... so if you cant handle stairway...don't go...... The parking is not far at all, it's a 5 minute walk that's one block to the rear of the building. It's a cool lil spot.... just needs some new beds! Oh ya.... there's a $150.00 hold when you check in...... card only!

All was good but the room was noisy at night. Every time the people next door used their bathroom , a loud sound pulsed through my room. My air conditioning unit also was abnormally loud when it would click off. Otherwise the area is awesome.

Great location on Glendale's main strip with many restaurants and shops. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Only issue is Internet is a bit slow.

Watch out for the long flight of stairs to the desk, and then another flight of stairs to the 200's rooms. I stayed in room 202. The bedsheets and towels were fine, but the small unit shower had dark spots along the door as well as peeling paint at the ceiling. Inside the mini fridge was not very clean. Bring charger wall adapters if you don't have an iPhone since there's only an iPhone lightning charging stand USB port for iPod docking. There's two exposed wall outlets to use; I wanted to connect my entertainment system to the TV but the outlet was too far for the hdmi cable and AC adapter cable. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed walking to the Carousel restaurant as well as the 85c Bakery Cafe. This hotel was really close to my friend's place which is very walkable distance. Wifi connection wasn't very stable, but it worked kinda. Bathroom had shoe polish wipe, two face soap bars, hair shampoo, hair conditioner, shower cap, rosehip & lavender lotion, and make-up remover wipe. The bed was a little tall, and the mattress was soft, not very firm. I might come back just for how walkable it is to my favorite places, but I'll remember to what to bring/what to leave behind, as well as ask to stay on the lower floor where the 100's rooms are to dodge another flight of stairs to climb.

It was advertised as a queen bed - definitely not a queen. My boyfriend and I are not big people (he's 5'9 and I'm 5'4 and neither of us is heavy) and we were elbow and leg bumping all night in the tiny double bed. The room was also very small, and there was nowhere to hang the dress I was wearing to the formal wedding we were there for. Also no room in the bathroom to put things! would have been an OK room for a single overnight just to sleep - for one person - but too small for a 5 night stay for 2.

No instructions on where to park prior to check in. Called the front desk and the person was very bad at communicating where we can park while we were checking in. Public parking only available until you check in and then he explains how the parking works. The hotel entrance was very difficult to find. Almost appears as thought the hotel was abandoned. Our biggest complaint was the person at the front desk who checked us in around 7:00 PM on July 11th. Lack of empathy while we struggled to find the parking, the entrance and lugging our luggage up the stairs. My wife accidently dropped a couple of bags in front of the person who checked us in. He just watched it all happen and never offered any sort of assistance or asked if she was okay. She was clearly struggling. He was extremely rude, condescending and lacked communication skills. Good luck with any assistance from the front desk if you need any sort of help.

My check-in Representative was very helpful, courteous and professional. My room is very comfortable, especially the bedding and mattress is excellent and I need a good sleep cause I’m traveling in the morning. I love the snack pantry, water availability and cold sodas in refrigerator, Extraordinary accommodations ! Thank you 🙏

The front desk staff were super friendly. Helped me get a better rate than this app! The Hotel is clean and quiet. Love how close dining options are too. I will definitely book this hotel again.

Very disappointing. I was hung up on by your staff. By daughter was staying at your hotel and ended up not checking in because parking was 2 blocks away and she was told she would have 2 carry her luggage the 2 blocks. She was going to her sisters wedding and your staff made it miserable.
Very disappointing. I was hung up on by your staff. By daughter was staying at your hotel and ended up not checking in because parking was 2 blocks away and she was told she would have 2 carry her luggage the 2 blocks. She was going to her sisters wedding and your staff made it miserable.

Super comfortable beds! The room was extremely quiet. An easy, 7 minute drive to The Price is Right tapings. Minutes from a major mall. Several restaurants to choose from just steps outside the hotel door. We found this part of Glendale to be safe, clean, convenient and quiet. We stayed Sunday through Tuesday. We will definitely be back!

Excellent location. The hotel is very charming, decorated with revival furniture. It has a nice vibe of Europe. Check-in was easy. Rodrigo was very accommodating and helpful.Rooms have an assorted minibar with snacks and drinks. A water fountain and ice is available in the reception too. Very safe. There is a back door that leads to the parking lot. The door is only accessible using the guest’s keys. Next door to Porto’s cafe and other restaurants and boutiques as well as walking distance to the Galleria mall and Americana. The hotel is a 10 minute drive from the Los Angeles Zoo where I parked my car to take the shuttle to the Hollywood Bowl for a concert. That’s why I booked this hotel. For some guests not having an elevator could be really challenging though, but not for me. Nice stay.

Really nice hotel in a great location on Brand Ave in Glendale. Close to Highland Park and Griffith Park where I went to concerts and close to Norton Simon Museum. Great value in exchange for a 2 minute walk to a parking lot at $8 per night. Quiet and I slept very well.

Quaint boutique hotel right in the heart of Glendale. Close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Comfortable rooms, great shower pressure, very nice staff. Keep in mind there is no elevator, so you’re walking up stairs to get to your room. We’ll definitely come back.

Excellent location! Within walking distance of so many eateries and the mall. Everything you'd expect from and older, quaint with LOTS of character hotel. It's not a shiny new penny but it's not a dumpy slumpy place either. We did have an issue with toilet backup (old pipes remember) and they fixed it immediately. Parking is a couple blocks away, which was the most inconvenient thing about staying here. Spaces are very limited but we were lucky taking the last available space every day of our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We only stayed 1 night. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, check-in was easy, and the staff were wonderful. The rooms are all located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the bldg with no elevator. Small window in the room but nothing to look at anyway. The location was perfect for walking to dinner (Damon's) and grabbing some yummy pastries (Porto's) in the morning.

The best thing about this hotel is location, location and location. Portos is practically next door, so much choice of BF, Lunch and Dinner nearby, walking distance. We were lucky enough the Cruising Cars show/festival was on while we were there. Brand was closed off and the show was literally at our doorstep, Sadly, there is no drop off area for hotel, we parked in Bank of America parking next door (there was a guard there but luckily we are BofA customers). Hotel on site parking is non-exisit, you can use a pay parking for $8/day a couple of blocks away. Beware, there is no elevator so ne prepared to walk up the stairs. There is only level 2 and 3. The rooms were disappointingly small.

This hotel is in a highly walkable area with an abundance of good restaurants, ethnic bakeries and shopping, including both small shops and a mall with popular anchor stores. It is an old hotel, which we like as it has character. There are stairs, but no elevator, so if you can't climb a staircase, then this isn't the place for you. However, the front desk staff is friendly and accommodating and will carry your luggage up (and then down) for you.

The bed was small, but it was exactly what I needed for the weekend. The bed was beyond comfortable, and it was centrally located to what I had going on. If you’re not big on stairs, this may not be for you since you have to climb to the lobby, and then the second floor if you get a room on that floor.

Myself and another lady (senior citizens) arrived at the hotel with four pieces of luggage. We made it up the 21 stairs, then to a landing with 10 more stairs. We were already aware of no elevator, but we asked if there was anyone to help. The guy said no, and didn’t offer to help. No one cleaned our room and we didn’t have a sign on the door NOT requesting cleaning. I told the front desk and he did offer fresh towels. We stayed two night, decided to leave the next day. The phone didn’t work in my room so we walked down to change our reservation. That went fine. We were in Glendale for the birth of my grandson. We got a call at 3:00 in the morning to report to the hospital bc my daughter was in labor. I went down to the front desk to let them know what was going on. I had to ring the bell for him to come around from the back. That’s fine but, ANYONE could walk up those steps and come down our hallway. Also there was a couple in one of those rooms down from mine that were fighting and using foul language. We were shocked that as we left, the front door at the street level was wide open! The next day I told the front desk about the door being wide open. He said it was ok bc they had a night watchman. Again, anyone could have walked right by the front desk and nobody would ever know. Really disappointed in our stay.
