The hotel is great with beautiful scenery from the balcony. Building condition a little run down, when we open the room balcony door, the door latch came out. But overall the room is comfortable and very clean. I love the heated toilet flooring which is so comfortable when spend time in the toilet. Me and my husband had a very pleasant stay for a night at this hotel. The only disappointment was during the arrival. No car is allowed to drive to the hotel. The instruction given was to go to parking P1 and press the hotel shuttle service button, hotel will arrange shuttle to pick up. We waited at P1 location in the super cold weather without a seat for almost an hour. After numerous pressing of button and 2 calls, finally the shuttle arrived. The distance to hotel is just about 5 to 10 minutes drive but we waited in the cold for almost one hour. We hope the hotel can improve the shuttle service and give clearer instruction to their guests. The instruction given today is for guests who drive there not for guest who take taxi there.

Helt vidunderlig miljö. Kanske fel att bo där på genomresaaffärsresa. Skulls haft mer tid för att njuta. OBS! Du kan ej ta bilen till hotellet. Man får parkera utanför bommen och gå. Tar en kvart eller shuttle. Men som sagt oerhört fint.

Nice property - stayed in main house. Lovely view of lake. Breakfast was good and half board 3 course dinner also very good. Staff overall were very helpful. Nice sauna on top floor that you book for your personal use. Enjoyable stay.

Please be made aware that the rooms in this hotel is spread across different buildings in different places in the town, one as far as 10min walk in the streets from the main building where the reception is. And breakfast is served in the main building, so you’ll have to walk across town to have your breakfast if your assigned room is in the farthest building.

Tourist hotel in historic centre. Ordinary but comfortable room, beautiful view of the lake. The absolute HIGHLIGHT of this hotel is the sauna suite which you can book for your private use. The whole area has one large sauna, for about 4-6 people and a seperate infra-red sauna for a single person. There is a shower area and several rocking lounges. After a long day sightseeing, this private sauna suite is most rewarding. This is only in the main building though, if you stay in their other sites, you will have to make your way here.

Seriously the best location in Hallstatt. One of our windows faced the lake. The other window faced the famous church. What a view! We can see sunrise and market crowd and ferry traffic below us everyday. We can walk to any location conveniently because we are right in the center of town. The room is spacious and quiet. The bed was soft and comfortable. They provided L’Occitane products which were amazing. Quality tea bags with loose tea leaves. Breakfast was quality. Oh we even tried out the sauna which was private and cool! Friendly staff. All in all the best hotel for our honeymoon!

We had a lovely time at this hotel! The place itself is beautiful and well-maintained. A huge shoutout to the room service staff who were prompt and professional. However, be aware that the on-site restaurant charges a €6 cover fee per person just to sit down, regardless of whether you are a guest or not. While the food was good, this extra charge felt a bit steep. Aside from that, everything was excellent.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral in der Innenstadt. Das Personal am Empfang ist sehr unfreundlich, als würden sie gezwungen dort zu arbeiten. We had a great stay at Heritage Hotel. First, we were welcomed by very friendly staff. The hotel was incredibly clean and located just in front of the lake. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was also great with a lot of options. The waiters were also very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean. The lake view from our balcony was great. Our rate included the breakfast buffet. A good variety of hot & cold items. We particularly liked the fresh fruit, breads, Kaiserschmarrn, yogurt, espresso, and teas. Easy walk from hotel to local sites, boat rides/ferry, restaurants, and shopping.

Concierges were not very nice, especially who guided us to another building. He looked so bored about his work. Also our room was nice in general, though there was a used ash tray in the balcony and I spotted white long hair in the bathroom basin. Breakfast was good.

The balcony is terribly dirty with spider webs all around. There is no shower curtain, so the shower water makes the floor all wet. In general the view and location is really great, but the room itself is not good. The room is over-priced.

Hotel is located in the port of Hallstatt. The room was very big with a wonderful view. Location is very nice the only downside is that the room was at the last floor where all the services are located and was noisy from the staff that are located on the common space. This was not looking like a hotel but more like the entrance of the service room.

The view of the lake was magnificent. The views and heritage homes were wonderful. The amount of day tourists were alarming, and the fact the way they behaved. As for the room itself, it was great. My only two issues were that the shower could not be properly adjusted and would always spray out onto the floor. And it was very hot without air conditioning. A fan was provided which helped a little.

The hotel’s location is perfect, right next to the boat station and I’m so glad I chose to stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable and the balcony view of the lake was absolutely incredible. I enjoyed having coffee on the balcony while watching both the sunrise and the sunset. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent, and the service at the restaurant was splendid.

Great location right next to ferry station/dock. Lovely building. Great view of lake from window. Clean, spacious and good breakfast including some cooked items (sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes). Pros - location, breakfast, seperate toilet room in bathroom, comfortable bed Cons - pillows too soft (we asked for different pillow but they just gave us another to add to 2 we already had), no air-conditioning in room (small pedestal fan) room was quite warm even in cooler weather, shower bath combo small and slippery with shower head in weird spot, quiet except to people above moving around (we were on “4th” floor and sounded like a herd of elephants above us at times!) Overall a good place to stay, expensive due to location, but Hallstatt is just so beautiful it makes it worth it!

Views are amazing but that’s about it. Service is terrible. Hotel caters to large tour groups and other guests are treated like an afterthought. Showed up for dinner and was offered a table in the back section even though one with a lakeside view was available. We had reserved in advance. Waiter said that he had a large group and lakeside tables were reserved for hotel guests. I pointed out that we were staying at the hotel and then one miraculously became available. Staff seemed like they couldn’t wait to get off work and looked annoyed when we ordered dessert after dinner. Breakfast buffet was terrible, we went to the hotel Gruner Baum next door the second morning and it was much better. The hotel has 3 sections and we stayed in the furthest building from the main section with the restaurant. We had to walk about 5 minutes to reach it. Our bags were transferred to our rooms on arrival but the front desk couldn’t understand why we didn’t want to shuttle out bags on foot to the parking lot (which was about a 20 minute walk from our building). We had to complain in order to get the shuttle to bring us back to where they picked us up in the first place. Nespresso machine in our room was not working the first morning so we asked the front desk for another one. When we came back to our room, the staff left a cup of brewed espresso in the machine to signal that the machine had been replaced but shorted us one espresso for the next morning. Would not go back.

We stayed 2 nights in room 1305. It is on the 5th floor and has beautiful balcony view of the lake every morning and evening. Yes the church bell chimed at 6am and 6pm everyday but it was quite pleasant to listen to when you are not sleeping. Breakfast spread is good. Reception’s Elena was the most sweet, pretty and pleasant girl to help us store our luggage when we arrived early and check in for us swiftly when we returned after our lunch. 2 nice restaurants by the lake are very near the hotel, just a few metres away. When we arrived at Carpark 1, we used the free phone and the shuttle mini bus came quickly to pick us. The hotel also arranged for another car to fetch us back swiftly after we checked out. Everything is perfect. So we will be back if we visit Hallstatt again and will definitely recommend to all our friends to stay here.

Heritage Hotel is likely one of the best places to stay on Hallstatt. It is located right next to the boat ramp (which you will need to take across the lake if you are arriving by train, 8 euro per person for round trip) and is convenient to all cafes, restaurants, shops. Hotel staff was very welcoming and friendly, offer luggage storage for before and after your check in! Heads up on visiting Hallstatt during January - several shops and activities such as the bone house and sky walk were closed until February. Still plenty to see and do, but a lot of the things we wanted to do most we were unable to. Not all closures were accurately listed online.

Seriously the best location in Hallstatt. One of our windows faced the lake. The other window faced the famous church. What a view! We can see sunrise and market crowd and ferry traffic below us everyday. We can walk to any location conveniently because we are right in the center of town. The room is spacious and quiet. The bed was soft and comfortable. They provided L’Occitane products which were amazing. Quality tea bags with loose tea leaves. Breakfast was quality. Oh we even tried out the sauna which was private and cool! Friendly staff. All in all the best hotel for our honeymoon!

O nosso quarto tinha uma sacada com vista incrível do lago e da cidade e uma cafeteira disponível para aquecer as temperaturas negativas. O restaurante do hotel oferece boa comida e ótimo atendimento. Além do café da manhã ser excelente, com muitas opções. O único inconveniente é que os quartos não ficam no mesmo local da recepção e do restaurante, mas a estadia foi tão agradável que isso se tornou um mero detalhe, já que caminhar uma curta distância no centrinho sempre compensa com a vista.

We had a great stay in Hallstatt! Our room had an amazing view of the lake, and was well equipped. The l’occitane toiletries were also a plus. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, and the included breakfast was amazing!

The breakfast was good and had a nice variety. The view is beautiful. The room was nice with a large bathroom. The only thing not perfect was my dinner. The risotto was under cooked, but the flavor was terrific.

We had a lovely time at this hotel! The place itself is beautiful and well-maintained. A huge shoutout to the room service staff who were prompt and professional. However, be aware that the on-site restaurant charges a €6 cover fee per person just to sit down, regardless of whether you are a guest or not. While the food was good, this extra charge felt a bit steep. Aside from that, everything was excellent.

The hotel was OK! The restaurant food and service was outstanding!! The driver was rude and he appeared to have a real anger management problem!! Very upset at the pedestrians and angrily hit the horn multiple times to get them to move out of the way in a pedestrian only area!! Yes, it is a pedestrian only area! Hotel shuttles are allowed but nobody else. The woman at check-in and checkout was totally indifferent! Most of the people, except in the restaurant, seemed to not want to be there working! Hallstatt is one of the most beautiful areas in the world! The problem is the people that live there don’t want the tourists!

This is a popular hotel in the Lake District, and I couldn't believe my luck in actually booking it! (So thrilled!) The room's view is absolute perfection—nothing but lake and mountain vistas. We sat on the balcony enjoying the lake view in the morning and stargazing at night—so romantic and relaxed. The hotel also provides L'OCCITANE toiletries. The breakfast provided by the hotel was quite good as well! The location is also excellent—you can see it right after getting off the ferry.
