Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ooltewah Springs - Chattanooga by IHG

Like most IHG properties, this one is clean, very nice, quiet and pleasant staff. Have great amenities, I just wish that hotels like this would offer 24 hr pool and hot tub amenities like others we have stayed at. Sometimes it’s nice not to be rushed after check in to enjoy the amenities that hotels like this offer, otherwise why even have them if most of your patrons never get to use them due to closing and opening times. That’s only 1 of 2 gripes I have about this establishment, the other is the security deposit amount and time it takes to be reimbursed. They tell you that they don’t take money off your card but they do in fact take a $250 sum out of your bank account or credit card if you live within 40-50 miles of this place. Then if your stay is on Saturday, expect your money to be put back on Wednesday or Thursday after your stay. DO NOT, I repeat, Do Not use cash app or any other money app as your deposit or you are looking at 30 days to get your $250 deposit back. And yes I was told that they don’t actually remove funds from your account they just put a hold on it. Not sure what part of removing 250 from your checking account constitutes telling someone they don’t “actually “ do that. Quite the contrary, they do physically remove it and keep it for 4-5 days before they give the money that was taken, back. But however they wish spin it so you don’t think you are pay$500 for a one night stay at a holiday inn. Nice motel and staff but this policy is why it’s a no go

Expedia did not inform us that this hotel was under renovation construction. Entry thru back door only. not easy to get luggage to room.

Everything was amazing. We were just passing through and really just needed a place to sleep but got there early enough to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable. The pool was nice and warm, the hot tub amazing. The breakfast in the morning was exactwbefore we hit

Very nice accommodations and kids loved the pool. Breakfast was one of the best we have had as it was varied and fresh

The cleanliness of the room was not very well and had a musty odor to it. The pool and hot tub should not be available very dirty and one of the light in the hot tub were hanging out and an electric shock hazard.

Everything was great. Food full breakfast with a good variety of choices. Nice pool and hot tub.

Th construction prevented me from giving our stay an “excellent” rating. Had to enter from the back through a dusty loud area with workers coming and going through the same door. But Everything above the first floor was completed and in perfect condition. Bella at the desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was clean,quiet and very comfortable. Everything we needed! We enjoyed the breakfast. We would gladly stay there again.

The property had construction going on and the hot tub was barely warmer than the pool water but overall it was ok.

We love it here! The rooms are comfortable and clean. However, what used to bring us specifically to this hotel was the very warm pool in addition to the hot, hot tub. During our last stay in October, the pool wasn’t warm and the hot tub was really dirty. That was a big disappointment for the whole family. Breakfast is nice, staff is friendly and accommodating. I just wish the pool was really warm again and the hot tub was clean.

Our room had an odor that smelled to be coming fron the AC and heat fan, but we could not figure it out. We were in room 225. A cleaning employee cleaned the filters. Not sure if that helped as we were leaving. During our 5-day stay, we had to open the door to the hall to get some fresh air everyday for short periods. Otherwise, it was very acceptable for the price.

Clean rooms and property. Love having the bare floors instead of rug. Cordial staff. Planning on staying there again in the future.

We were sadly shocked to see that the room was not as expected. The room was damp, with the sheets, carpet, etc feeling damp and muggy. In the shower, there were hairs all around. Nice looking facility with lovely staff, but cleanliness and comfort took the hit.

Rooms we totally remodeled but small black bugs all over near coffeemaker and bathroom sugar Ants or something.

Super clean hotel. Very nice. Staff was super friendly. Only drawback was the former guest had left the alarm clock set for 6 AM.

The mattresses were so uncomfortable we could not sleep well and woke up sore. The breakfast was disappointing with burnt, canned biscuits, bland eggs, and the pancake maker being broken. We booked because it had an indoor pool, but it should have been heated. We could barely swim in it. Good service, nice room and shower, but overall a rather disappointing stay.

stay was noisy from expressway traffic. HVAC did not maintain a consistent room temperature. bathroom hot water was set very low - no hot water in the sink.

The room was nicely updated and clean. Unfortunately our room was noisy because we were right outside the elevator and close to lobby on first floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again

The beds were were very comfortable. I also liked it that there wasn’t any carpet in our room. It’s all laminate flooring which looks like wood and is very clean

TV is not working

Room was clean but shade on window did not pull all the way down. Difficult to sleep with streetlights illuminating your room along with the morning sun. Also, the faucet in the bathroom leaked on the vanity.

We got in pretty late (12-1AM) and the front desk guy was so friendly. When I asked about potentially checking out late, he signed us up as a member to get this perk and noted our late check out. Didn’t catch a name but he had a septum nose piercing. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and pillows too. We loved that there was a black out option for the window/pull down curtain. Breakfast was okay but I wont complain, we did get there late so it wasn’t as fresh lol. But lots of options though! And pool area was okay too there seemed to be sand in the hot tub somehow but we still enjoyed our trip! Clean, friendly hotel that’s close to the exit and shopping/food 🙂

We stayed in 2 separate rooms, 2 separate nights. The staff was courteous, and the rooms one a king size bed room was spacious and comfortable and very clean and so was the double queen we stayed in.

Fantastic hotel! Finally, a hotel that got it all right. The desk staff ladies were amazing. Both we encountered were very friendly. We had driven all night and called to see if there were any early check-in rooms available. The lady that answered was so helpful and told us there was one room ready and that we could come on in. The room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable and provided a good sleep. The room was nice and dark and the A/C worked great. Breakfast had a nice selection, something for everyone. Overall great experience. Will stay here again!

The first 3 nights we were unable to sleep good because the radio outside our room was playing to loudly in the hallway. I complained each night and nothing was done about it. I had myself & 5 kids with me and none of us got any rest! I believe we are due a credit for those 3 nights stay.

I booked a room, Th-Sat. Our flight got in at 12:30 Thursday morning. Despite calling headquarters ahead of time, to make sure we would be able to check in early, the gal at the front desk made us pay for an extra night, despite having a room available. Not cool.

Took 3 try’s to check in. Room not ready. Finally got our room after dinner.

We had selected this hotel a few weeks ago when in town for a wedding and were extremely satisfied with the service, cleanliness and one of the best continental breakfasts we’ve ever had in decades of traveling. So when we needed to return to TN on a short notice, we were happy that we were able to book rooms again.

Alarm going off in adjoining room after people checked out. It took staff over an hour to come up and shut off the alarm.

The attendant was able to check and see if our room was available for early check in(2pm)ish while traveling for an out of town soccer tournament. Which was a huge help to get setup for the weekend.

Very good stay for this type of property, clean, close to our daughters college which is the main reason why we stay there. We’re very satisfied.

Clean and comfortable! Enjoyed our stay. Loved being able to walk to the Local Goat restaurant.

Check in was very friendly and helpful. Facility is new and exceptionally clean Linens were great. Adequate hot water nit too soft. Adequate breakfast Traffic/highway noise above average and a negative but convenient to interstate.

If you’re bringing a child to Southern Adventist University and need somewhere to stay, the Holiday Inn Express has my highest recommendation. It’s clean, cost effective, and conveniently located close to campus.

The property/room was clean, the staff were nice and professional, and the breakfast was pretty good. The entrance to the property was a little tricky/hidden. Turn in to the road between the car wash and the tire place. We enjoyed our stay. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel to spend the night. Adequate space in room, comfortable beds and pillows. SOFT towels! There is a wonderful restaurant next door called the Local Goat. You can actually walk to it.Great food.

Dining room was very crowded on Saturday 5/10/2025, we had to take our breakfast to the couch in the lobby to eat it. Not enough seating apparently. Overall, stay was great, no other complaints.

While the front staff were nice and helpful, a couple of things stuck out to my family and I. They only had two luggage carts available to the whole hotel. Other hotels I have been to have had at least 4 if not more. The breakfast was good, but there appeared to be poor planning based on numbers in the hotel. The breakfast was open from 6am - 10am but there was no hot food left by 8 as a large group came through and cleaned the place out and there was no more food.

Got there and was asked if we had a floor preference, as a mother with two small kids who are loud, this was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Room was clean, smelled good. And the beds were super comfy. I love love LOVE that they use Dove hair and skin products. It’s my favorite and it saved me having to dig mine out. We had the plenty of towels for all 4 of us and the shower was nice and hot. Centrally located near several food options. The parking was easy and they had several luggage carts available. My kids enjoyed the late night hot cocoa they made by the coffee! The pool… (I specifically book my trips around being able to have a pool, usually a hot tub too but the reviews were excellent so I booked it.) To my SURPRISE, it had a heated indoor pool AND a hot tub!! That is an extra BONUS in my book. The pool area was clean and the chlorine wasn’t overwhelming like most indoor pools. Ok, breakfast… I LOVE Holiday Inn cinnamon rolls! But they also had two kinds of omelettes, turkey and pork sausage, soft fluffy biscuits, AND sausage gravy. (Y'all, it rivaled my husbands which is outstanding!) They also offered fresh fruit choices and all the juices, but the coolest thing was the pancake maker! I watched all the kids enamored by it and it was cool! Staff was wonderful, gentleman working the door on Saturday March 30 was so nice and helpful! Will absolutely stay again!

We travel at least 3 times a year across the country, this was by far the best hotel we've stayed at!!! The rooms were clean, check in was friendly and fast and they have great alternative choices at breakfast for my families restricted dietary needs. Would recommend this location to everyone.
