This is a nice, clean, affordable, and very convenient location close to the SAP Center. There are plenty of dining options close by as well as a Whole Foods Market. Our room was large, clean, and appeared to be recently renovated. It included a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. The air conditioner worked very well. The complimentary parking was easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when in San Jose for an event at the SAP Center.

A very reasonably-priced motel that actually had a tub! Clean. Parking felt safe. The area of town was both good and bad: outdoor restaurants and fun shops but also some homeless wanderers.

We like staying here for events we are attending at the SAP Center. There are lots of little cafes and restaurants around the motel, plus there is a Whole Foods market nearby. The staff at the motel are friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the amenities were the expected: fridge, microwave, TV, coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, shampoo, lotion. There was plenty of hot water for the shower. Parking is free and easy and we felt our car was secure.

Chose Flamingo Motel due to its proximity to SAP Center, as we were in San Jose for a Sharks game, as well as the good price. Cute place, bed was comfortable... but a little noisy since it's right on a major street and we got a street-side room. Only other negative is there were no instructions on how to use the shower; a little note on how to turn the bath to shower would have been useful, as it took us a few minutes to figure out how it worked. But good service, and allowed us to leave our car in the lot after check out when we went to the hockey game.

The Flamingo hotel has good parking, and our room was very clean. Even the bedspreads seemed freshly washed. Walking distance to many eateries and coffee shops. No complaints. The owners were exceptional.

Walking distance to the Sap stadium, easy parking, the Mexican restaurant in the corner it’s terrible, go to the downtown restaurants a lot cleaner and better food, overall it’s ok!! I would stay again

The folks at the front desk were accommodating and friendly. I’ve stayed here thrice now and have always been satisfied. With the free parking, good neighborhood coffee and dining options, being walking distance to the Shark Tank, and being able to access downtown San Jose with only a twenty minute walk, this place is my go-to spot.

I wish the reviews I’d read before booking were more honest. I ended up cancelling 4 hours after arriving at the property, and having to lose the cost of 2 nights just to get out, and scrambling to find another hotel for the night. The location itself has a funky smell, and is falling apart. Everything from the bedding to the towels is subpar. Initially I thought that was fine, for the low cost, but the icing on the cake was that the toilet didn’t flush. Staff was friendly trying to fix it but it just didn’t work and they couldn’t move me to any other room with functional plumbing. Their online policy only states one night fee for last minute cancellations (even including cancellation due to their own plumbing issues) but they actually charge for 2 nights- beware. Also, if you don’t know San Jose, this is an area prone to high cockroach infestations. They’re just there, not much can be done about them. I was really careful to keep my food/belongings sealed up so I didn’t get any hitchhikers. I come to San Jose a lot for work and will absolutely be avoiding this hotel. On the positive side, the location is good for walking downtown or to the local restaurants.

I wanted to check in early, they had a room ready, so they had no problem with my request. There are many dining options. There is a pancake house with an excellent breakfast, a bakery with lovely selections and outdoor seating and a 5 Guys across the street as well as Starbucks and a Mexican restaurant. It is walking distance to the train station which was important to me. I had a very comfortable stay.

We walked to the SAP center, (about a 15 min walk). Going back to the Motel from the concert there was a guy walking about 20 feet in front of us yelling, screaming and talking to himself. Felt kinda unsafe. Saw a couple of homeless people too, but they minded their on business for the most part. Not many people from the concert was walking in our direction, people started to split apart form us about halfway through our walk back to the Motel. Property is everything you expect a Motel to be. Our room was clean for the most part, there was some women’s hair on the sheets. Phone didn’t work. We called front desk with our cell phone cause one of our night stands wasn’t working, maintenance came right away. It’s on a busy street so you’ll hear a lot of traffic in the morning which woke me up.

Very responsive and helpful front desk. The exterior of the motel is a little dated, but the interior seems freshly renovated and very clean, room has a nice clean laundry smell when we entered, and it seemed to be generally quiet. A lot of great restaurants were walking distance including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. A few bodegas were just down the street as well. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

We stayed here for one night as we were going to a concert at the SAP Center. It was a great location, simple room with basic amenities. The remote was dirty with stuck on food, so that made us question the cleanliness but everything else was in order and clean. It was exactly what it needed to be, just would be nice if they took a wet wipe to the remote after each visitor. That just makes us wonder what else wasn't wiped down. Definitely check out Uncle John's waffle house, kitty corner from the motel for breakfast, it was fantastic!

The room was spotless. It's an older motel that is very clean and looks to be recently upgraded. About 10:45pm the guy in the room next to me completely lost it. It was scary! It didn't take long before the owner came up and handled it. Well done! I love to stay on this end of town as the prices are better. There are plenty of great places to eat at for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Bakeries too! The bus stop is real close. Whole foods is just down the road. Check in was easy.

This motel is on a busy junction but no significant noise disturbance. Good sized room with king sized bed, fridge, microwave and real coffee. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe's nearby. Good value budget motel.

No frills motel. Clean. Basic room with microwave and small fridge. Lots of traffic noise some nights. Many homeless people in this part of town. Did not get replacement towels two nights. Internet went out for a few days. Outside walkways, uneven tripping hazard. Some restaurants nearby.

A solid basic 2 queen room. Very clean. Arrived at 6 pm and the temp was 100 degrees outside. The second floor room did not have the AC on and it took 3 hours to cool to reasonable temp. The shower control was very difficult to figure out and the office was unavailable by phone or directly at 7 am when trying to shower. Price is great but the struggles to be comfortable make it so it will not be my choice in the future.

Cute place, bed was comfortable... but a little noisy since it's right on a major street and we got a street-side room. Only other negative is there were no instructions on how to use the shower; a little note on how to turn the bath to shower would have been useful, as it took us a few minutes to figure out how it worked. But good service, and allowed us to leave our car in the lot after check out when we went to the hockey game.

The water pressure is very soft for someone with long hair, and the fridge was extremely cold and partially froze drinks. But overall, it is a great deal and a very nice area to walk around.

A really good, clean, quiet comfortable motel. The staff was responsive. There's good food very close by, especially for breakfast. It was an easy walk from the train station, and an even easier walk to a bus to get to the airport. And very reasonably priced! Most of all, I slept very comfortably here. Like I was at home.

Very responsive and helpful front desk. The exterior of the motel is a little dated, but the interior seems freshly renovated and very clean, room has a nice clean laundry smell when we entered, and it seemed to be generally quiet. A lot of great restaurants were walking distance including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. A few bodegas were just down the street as well. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

We like staying here for events we are attending at the SAP Center. There are lots of little cafes and restaurants around the motel, plus there is a Whole Foods market nearby. The staff at the motel are friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the amenities were the expected: fridge, microwave, TV, coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, shampoo, lotion. There was plenty of hot water for the shower. Parking is free and easy and we felt our car was secure.

Comfortable bed and pillow. That about ends the positives. Shower did not get very hot, loud street noise at 3 am, and staff not there during normal hours (8 am) to address key that stopped working so could not use several hours I paid for.

The folks at the front desk were accommodating and friendly. I’ve stayed here thrice now and have always been satisfied. With the free parking, good neighborhood coffee and dining options, being walking distance to the Shark Tank, and being able to access downtown San Jose with only a twenty minute walk, this place is my go-to spot.

The front office were wonderful. Very responsive and helpful to any questions or concerns. I can't say enough. The location has three great coffee houses directly across the street, two of them nationally known. All are within walking distance.

We stayed here for one night as we were going to a concert at the SAP Center. It was a great location, simple room with basic amenities. The remote was dirty with stuck on food, so that made us question the cleanliness but everything else was in order and clean. It was exactly what it needed to be, just would be nice if they took a wet wipe to the remote after each visitor. That just makes us wonder what else wasn't wiped down. Definitely check out Uncle John's waffle house, kitty corner from the motel for breakfast, it was fantastic!

Great location on a street full of vibrant daytime activities. Great restaurants (highly recommend Zona Rosa), coffeehouses, and cute shops. Our room was very clean, well stocked, quiet, and comfortable. The staff, especially the proprietor, was friendly, kind, and accommodating. Hands down the best motor inn/motel I've stayed at in my years of traveling. Don't forget to check out the neon flamingos on the signage in the evening!

The Flamingo hotel has good parking, and our room was very clean. Even the bedspreads seemed freshly washed. Walking distance to many eateries and coffee shops. No complaints. The owners were exceptional.

Walking distance to the Sap stadium, easy parking, the Mexican restaurant in the corner it’s terrible, go to the downtown restaurants a lot cleaner and better food, overall it’s ok!! I would stay again

We are repeat customers. We like the fact that we can walk to almost anything. Lots of food choices. Coffee and pastries across the street. We even walked down to San Pedro and ate some BBQ and checked out the Tiki Bar Dr Funk. We also bike and the location is awesome. We did have to wait a while for hot water but it finally showed up. The place is quiet and fairly priced. We will be back.

I ended up here when another hotel cancelled my reservation - I will say my first thought when I rolled up was I'd somehow driven into the 50s! The front desk was very efficient and friendly, and the room was perfectly fine. I've stayed in some poor places in my time, but I don't count this among them! The room was clean and well kept, and everything worked just as it should. I am glad I got a ground floor room since the stairs reminded me of a childhood incident, but I doubt most people would care about that. I wouldn't want to stray too far after sunset, but I'd also have no problem coming back here again for a good night's rest.

Would really give it a 4.5, but a high 4.5 so I'm gonna round up. The TV was pretty busted, worked but had 4 sets of vertical static lines which were pretty annoying. The coffee pot was dirty (brown residue in the top), but other than that the room was large, clean and comfortable, and you really can't beat the price for the location. I have another trip coming up at the end of October and my little brother and I were actually heartbroken there was no vacancy here. Would absolutely stay here again.

The toilet seat had a small black mark. It was very warm inside the room even thought the outside was cool. There were many eateries nearby. TV remote was difficult to operate, but I don't have a TV.
