We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful. Breakfast could have been better.

This hotel is run down but pricing was low and you get what you pay for, so... No freezer in the little fridge and temp control was broken. Had to get bags of ice to keep our spoilables cold. Big minus: no charging outlets for your phone. Only gave us two towels. Couldn't find anyone to give us more.( Both my husband and I need two apiece. On the plus side, the water was hot! Won't be stopping here again

I have stayed there in the past and had wonderful experiences. My only issue (and it may have been poor communication skills) was at check-in. The desk clerk demanded my credit card so she could run it through. When I pointed out to her that I booked through Hotels.com and that the funds had already been deducted from my account and that I had a digital receipt on my phone. She then said something about a fifty dollar security deposit. She then replied something about calling "Steve", considered a moment then gave me a key card and I went to my room. Either they wanted $229 for and $85 dollar room ($85 originally billed, $85 dollar for a second billing, plus $50 for the security deposit equals $220.) or somebody needs to explain thing in a more sensible fashion. Either way, I won't be staying there unless it's a dire emergency.

First impressions were terrible - get off the expressway and turn at the strip club into the neighboring hotel lot, then back out and find the steep unlit driveway into the actual lot. There, we were met by a crowd of guys smoking and eyeballing the new arrivals and then greeted by an empty desk. The clerk who did shortly come was friendly and overworked, trying to run the place without assistance. She listened to our preferences and gave us a decent room, overlooking the neighboring motel. The room was reasonably clean, the bathroom was sparkling, the sheets and pillowcases were a bit yellowed. All in all, it’s what you get for about $80 in West Virginia. Breakfast was truly basic but there was a bowl of apples for the road. Checkout went smoothly - again, the desk was deserted.
