La Quinta by Wyndham Bay City

Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my 60 years on this planet. No phones in the room. Room didn't get cleaned a single time in our 3 nights. Only one time were the towels replaced. The soap was never replaced and was an extremely small size so we went to the store and bought our own small bar. The breakfast was laughably horrendous. At best it was powdered eggs with cheese whiz. There was a $250 hold for incidentals. When I pushed on that and the no telephone I was told they were under new ownership and were making a lot of changes. I'm not sure why that would affect OUR visit. I absolutely will never return to this hotel. And we go to fish in Matagorda often.

The property was not kept up my door to my room I had to slam shut breakfast was bad warmers was broke hallway smelled like meadow

Front desk staff was great!! the hallway smelled like urine. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and not a good quality. Property does not really look like the photos. There was mold on the ceiling in our bathroom and stains on the back of the door and wall. There were also outlets missing plate covers which is extremely unsafe.

Staff was very friendly, rooms would have been great besides the roaches that got in our to go boxes and in the bathroom. Get an exterminator and the place would be great
