Lois was fabulous. She greeted us upon arrival, gave us some wonderful tips about what to see, and what would be too far away. The 1880s cottage is furnished eclecticly with antiques and period pieces. Anything you might need was available. Location was perfect, well based for travel in many directions. Could walk to grocery store and many coffee cafes and pubs. Would stay again in a heart beat. Thanks Lois.

We had a wonderful stay at Sandy Bay Cottage. The house was very inviting, and its charming, old-world interior added a delightful touch. The garden was secure and perfect for our dog. Shops, cafés, and the sea front were all within walking distance. Overall, we highly recommend this lovely cottage

The location couldn’t have been better. We were four minutes drive to family in one direction and our favourite cafe in the other direction. Ubers were quick and cheap. And we felt safe.We loved the courtyard for our furry family member.Parking on the property was a godsend. It was, however challenging to get in and out of thanks to how cars parked out the front.We washed the crockery, cutlery and glassware before we used it as we found dirty items and dusty shelves.We came in late in the afternoon and were very cold in the property. We had been spoiled at other properties in our trip as they had the properties warm when we arrived.Lois was so gorgeous - communicative, responsive and accommodating.

Lois has decorated King Street with lots of interesting historical items. Everything was comfortable and anything we needed was provided. The cottage was close to shopping facilities and tourist sites. Off street parking was provided but was a little tricky to negotiate.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay. Walking distance to the markets and some great dining/shopping options very close by. The cottage was very cozy with great kitchen amenities to self-cater. The laundry was very mush appreciated by this part of our trip.

This is only the second time I have stayed in this type of accomodation so not sure what to expect. We talked about the facilities and decided that it was very clean and homey - comfortable. The bedding was really nice and so were the bathrooms. Lois our host was very informative and helpful as was her hubby who helped us get out of the driveway after becoming wedged. Thank you.

I usually dont comment on bad holiday rentals but this time it was needed. When we arrived the house smelt musty and old. The house was freezing cold. We ran the very old heat pump for 3 days the house still didn't get above 18 degrees. Even the bed linen didn't smell fresh. Nothing smelt clean and fresh. The kitchen and bathroom was held together with bits of board here and there and grotty badly used silicone in joints and every other gap. If we didn't have our dog with us we would have gone to a hotel. We have stayed in many holiday rentals as well as owned them and I can say this was the most uncomfortable, old and smelly home we have stayed in.

From the moment we stepped into the cottage, we knew we had picked the right place - it was homely, warm, and clean. The bed was just so comfortable and the bedding and Manchester was high quality. Every thing was thought of…. And centrally located. Thanks for everything.

We had been spoiled at other properties in our trip as they had the properties warm when we arrived.Lois was so gorgeous - communicative, responsive and accommodating.
The location couldn’t have been better. We were four minutes drive to family in one direction and our favourite cafe in the other direction. Ubers were quick and cheap. And we felt safe.We loved the courtyard for our furry family member.Parking on the property was a godsend. Perfect cottage in Hobart with a lovely homely feel. Equipped with all you need to have a home away from home holiday. Great location in Sandy Bay with just a short stroll to main street, shops, cafe's and restaurants.The kind of place you feel sad to leave.

Really lovely, quaint house with lots of antiques. Really comfortable with good amenities. Excellent location, walkable to groceries, restaurants, and the waterfront. Onsite dedicated parking. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay. Lois is a lovely host and made sure that we had everything we needed.This cottage is great for exploring Hobart with bus stops practically outside the property. We would definitely suggest people wanting to explore Hobart to stay here.. fabulous.
