Quality Inn Montgomery - Lake Conroe

Overall a decent stay. Room was cleaned and basic. No elevator so make sure you can easily lug suitcases up the two staircases if on the second level. Would stay here again. Decent price for value on a holiday evening.

We parked by our room which was next to the office and the owner/manager was not happy we had taken "his" spot. The pool was locked on August 24 with temps in the 90's.The owner/manager told the housekeeper "no key" but when he saw us there waiting, he walked down with a very angry look and unlocked the gate. He never spoke to us. Pool was filthy. Hot tub was advertised but there was no hot tub. Bathroom faucet had no hot water and barely a trickle. Housekeeper didn't come until 5 pm and didn't make the bed. Breakfast ended well before the advertised 9 am. Recliner was broken. Only one nightstand lamp. Refrigerator had no freezer but froze our food. This is part of Wyndham?

Clean, comfortable beds. Clean table tops. Clean bathrooms. AC worked well. Clean microwave. Pool was clean, well kept. Women at the counter were very polite and courteous. Great location. My son liked the waffles and mini cheeseburgers. I made a reservation for a room with 2 beds and when we got there, we were originally placed in a room with 1 bed, but then they moved us to another room with no problem.

Vending and ice machine not working and havent been working for a while with no indication as to when it will be.

Room was nice and comfortable. Pool right outside door so a bit noisy but not too bad. Family friendly, tiny pool, nice knowledgeable staff. Love the area!

The hotel is dated and it shows. There was blood or rust (dealers choice) on the lamp shade, cigarette burns on the bedspreads (in a non smoking room), the pool was nasty, the toilet paper dispenser was falling out of the wall. Rust in tub and sink drains and the place smelled like mildew all (3) days I was there. I bought a candle within an hour my first night to try to mask the smell, it helped but by night two I was congested and I almost didn’t even stay for night 3. The check in staff was rude and unresponsive. The check out lady seemed put off to have to help me check out, but not outwardly rude about it. I will not stay at any Super 8 hotel again. And I would not recommend anyone to stay here more than a night and only if you can’t find any other space available.

The room was ok - but am a senior citizen with heavy suitcases and she didn't seem to care. No elevator made the climb difficult.

Found multiple bugs in the bathroom. Shower head was really dirty. Mold in the shower head. Part of the bathtub was pealing. Boogers in the lap shades.

My stay was planned for only one night and Thank God that is all myself and my two sons had to stay at this motel. Next door guest was loud, had room furnished chairs on walkway and the smell of Marijuana was over wheming. NO HOT WATER day of check in thru morning of check out. Hair....lo g strands of hair wete in tub. Swimming pool was dirty and had floating strands of hair. Two towels provided for 3 guests. It sucked at this hotel.

I checked in late at about 11pm. I immediately smelled a musty odor when I went in the room, but I figured it was the air conditioner as I had just turned it on. After getting situated, I realized the smell was lingering and was the overall smell of the room. Honestly, I should have complained then, but I was tired and had to wake at 5 am, so I figured I would just talk to the front desk person in the morning, which I did. I informed the worker that I wouldn’t be able to handle it until later in the afternoon. He said he would inform the manager. That did not happen. When I tried to handle it, the manager said they could spray air freshener, which was totally unacceptable to me. The room smell had begun to permeate the clothes left behind while I took care of the business I was in town for. The manager said that they didn’t have any other rooms except the “suite”, which was just a regular room with a jacuzzi. She offered the room for an extra $100 dollars. I asked for a discount. She said that was with the discount. I later looked at the cost for that room and found that that wasn’t truthful. They should have given me the room at the normal rate. I was exhausted already from the poor sleep in the moldy room and the long day of business I had so I decided to just pay the $100 and move on. She let me smell the room before I did this, but after I looked closer, it was obvious that the room wasn’t very clean. The toilet had a ring of mold. Also, I was charged 2x.

The condition was not the best.. we found plenty of cockroaches in the room. Not good breakfast options. Location is decent

Hotel was convenient for last minute. Room was not clean and had to ask for towels from front desk. The night clerk and morning clerk were not the nicest people when checking in and out and asking for towels that should have been in room. The continental breakfast consisted of cereal, some breakfast bars, water, coffee and milk.

Someone backed right up to the steps so we had to walk around the long way. Maybe mark for compact car or put a parking block so people can’t pull all the way up.

Pluses: Parking was convenient, well-lit and area seemed safe with convenient dining and shopping. Check-in was quick, though standard paper-based form surprised me as I'd already checked in online. Efficient desk clerk. Room had a microwave and refrigerator; both clean. Air conditioner was effective, especially on 'Dry' setting which really helped reduce initial clammy feel. Comfortable mattress. Good Internet. Cool Lone Star wall mural. Minus side: overall dated look to room with general scent of stale cigarettes and damp basement. Bed had what appeared to be mini-pillows, couch was stained, and lampshades had brown spots (hopefully just cigarette burns). No USB ports so bring your own. Breakfast was rudimentary: waffles, cereal, coffee, orange juice and microwaveable mini sausage biscuits. I did not give a below-average review because unfortunately, based on recent stays at other hotels - including Super 8s - conditions once unacceptable even within this price range now seems standard thanks probably to years of inflation.

For a short stay it was alright, when we arrived we waited 25 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk and check us in, also the air conditioning in our room was making everything inside feel moist.

I purchased the jacuzzi suite as a surprise for wife. The jacuzzi was broken. We asked to be moved to a different room, denied. Asked for a partial refund, denied. The bed was so hard my wife could not get comfortable. Avoid at all costs all they want is your money.

I made a reservation a week ago, arrived at the hotel and the person at the desk tells me “we don’t have any rooms available””. I tell the manager “I have a reservation” and he tells me that all his guests have checked it. After an hour of trying to figure this out my wife, 3 children and I leave in search of another hotel room. It’s 12:19am as we drive towards Conroe searching for a hotel in a town full of booked up hotel rooms. I encourage Expedia to stop doing business with this hotel, honestly do t think I’ll do business with either of them after this nightmare.

Reservation was made for 2 rooms with 2 queen beds and handicap accessibility - We arrived around 8:30 pm and the front desk lady said that I did not have a reservation for the above mentioned rooms. I checked my hotels.com reservation information and confirmed that I had made that reservation correctly on my end. She was dismissive and stated that the rooms that she had me in - one was upstairs and the other was a single king room with no handicap accessibility. I asked her why the reservation for the correct rooms was not done and she stated that the other people in the handicap rooms had reservations. My response was so did I - however she had nothing to say - no apologizes - just this is what I have take it or leave it. So when I told her I needed both of those rooms at the very least to be downstairs - she did do that - but absolutely let me know of her irritation in doing so because the rooms had already been assigned. To be clear I did show her the confirmed reservation where it said handicap accessible 2 queen bed rooms - her response the whole time was it did not matter. I wont even start on the credit card charges that was not approved and that she could not do a refund and charge the correct card! Please be aware when staying at this particular Super 8 -

Extremely great place to stay. Inexpensive for being so near the lake and other nice venues. Extremely friendly staff as well.

Easy to locate right off highway. Just an average motel. Alright for the price.

it was tolerable for the two nights we had to stay there, but i wouldn’t recommend it if there are other affordable options for you. the breakfast was just sad and the waffle batter that came out the machine was rancid. not the cleanest place, but not awful. overall, you’ll manage a weekend stay there just be weary that it’s not great.

Best place to book if you're going to rein fest. The staff was nice and their beds felt amazing. The only critique I have with them is breakfast. It's just dried up cereal and waffles. No protein in sight. Ive seen other Super 8s provide atleast some egg. That's why there is a Shipley's right next to them because that is their weak point. Other than that it was great.
