This property does not live up to its potential. It is adorable and unique which is what attracted us to it. Unfortunately, the property is not well maintained. Initially when we checked in there was a very irate man asking for his money back because the pool was unusable and there was a wasp in his room. The pool was nasty green and didn’t appear to be kept up. Although the pool was not a priority, it would have been nice to use. I asked about it and my question was ignored at first. Then I was given a strange story about trying a different kind of water that turns green if anything gets in it. I was assured that the pool had been cleaned and treated and would be usable the following day. The pool was gross and unusable the entirety of our stay. Initially, our room was dirty. When we went to complain we were told we were put in the wrong room. We had checked in early and when I notified the front desk that our room was dirty, the guard made a comment about us checking in early. We had words because 1. I had asked and they checked us in early, they didn’t have to, and 2. Not his job! We were put in a different room that had been properly cleaned. Last but not least there are signs of wear and disrepair throughout the property that make it look like a slum lord runs it. It was not so bad that we wanted to find another place to stay at the last minute but we would not stay again. Picture of the pool and the couch in the room we stayed in. It was too nasty to sit on.

Subpar stay, we stayed in the penthouse suite for a week. It was not worth the money at all, and the area was relatively secluded and felt unsafe. The room was subpar for the price, unmaintained. Sink has very low water pressure, Showerhead was spilling water everywhere, blackout curtains in room were unmovable and stapled in since they were falling apart, and the staircase to the second bed has portions of the floor unsecured. We requested housekeeping three times and not once did someone come take care of our room. After staying a week, pool was constantly cloudy and poor quality. I’d recommend another location.

Extremely limited parking as there are broken down cars everywhere. Others don't display a parking permit and you are forced to park at a neigboring Lowes. Management is never available on site and don't return calls. Pool closed by order of the State. The list is endless. Employees are obviously aware of the shortcomings and simply say that you need to speak with mgmt.Only positive was the breakfast and the kind woman that sets it up each morning. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

First, they charged me more than what Hotels.com said I would be charged. Then, when we opened the couch bed, there were no sheets on it or in any of the closets. When I went to put one the the sheets from my bed on it, I noticed mouse poop on it. I called the main office and they moved us to the penthouse. The penthouse looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The next afternoon I tried taking a shower in the downstairs bathroom and there was no hot water. I called the main office and they said they would send someone up, they never did. And the cherry on top was that the pool was unusable. It was very very green, which when you have kids, its a big deal.

Property is terrible, nasty!!!! The pool is not cleaned as well. Everything they said they had as far as cooking utensils, rags, towels, nothing works blow dryer weren’t working as well it was just terrible!! I’ve stayed here a few years ago, and it amazed me how much it has went down hill! If you are taking your family to this location just be prepared to bring your own cleaning supplies dishes etc you would rather put up a tent in the backyard than stay here!!!

Half of the dryers in the laundry room were broken. I felt that the property and room didn't look like it did on the internet. The parking lot had trash all over. The outside of the building we stayed in was filthy. There were no dishes in the kitchen in the room. The shower dripped water from the ceiling. The one TV didn't have a remote.

This hotel has great potential but is currently in disrepair and lacking in cleanliness. Going into Memorial Day weekemd the pool was completely green and not useable. The rooms needed a very thorough cleaning. While there was a stove, microwave and refrigerator, there was nothing like dishes or utensils to use. A very disappointing experiemce!

The hotel was not just dirty it was filthy and unsafe. Blood spots on mirror, exposed wiring, sticky floors , rusted metal door stoppers, reeked of cigarette smoke , brown towels , bedding had red and pink and brown stains.

Entire room was dirty and the floors were sticky.There was dog hair in the beds and stains on covers.The smell of the entire room was moldy,smoky,and old with no scent of cleaners to have ever been used recently for restoration.Property looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a week.Dust hanging from the ceiling fans.Fridge had old food residue left behind.Curtains were hanging from the rods.Couldn't even spend the night and was glad to recieve a refund back.

It was so filthy and honestly disgusting, we immediately left! There was hair all over the bathroom floor and in the towels folded up for use, a toothpick on the toilet paper holder, dead bugs on the window seal and floors. It is not a place I would ever give another chance! It was awful and the property is now refusing refund! For reasons above a refund should be given no matter the booking. I booked expecting to have a clean room to stay in and that was not the case. I will provide pictures of everything stated.

Do not book hear unless you want stay in an extremely unclean roach infested place. This place is extremely dirty, they obviously don't clean after eating visit. They clearly have a roach infestation because there are plenty of baby roaches. Which is they have. A roach infestation I wouldn't be surprised if they also had bed bugs. I walked into my first room and was disgusted and then walked into the second room they gave and it was just as bad but by that time my skin was already crawling. Don't waste your money here. There are other hotels who are cheap but at least clean a little bit. They also REFUSED to grant me a refund bc THEY don't keep up with THEIR property. Disgusting places and disgusting owners.

Staff was nice. First room - ceiling falling down, floor coming up , foul smell and broken TV. Second room wasn’t in as bad disrepair but still dirty , dirty sheets as well. Steps rotting on the outside of room. Bed was comfortable.

the HVAC was very loud. In auto mode it would constantly switch from heat to cooling and then back to heat. WIFI needs upgrade to better bandwidth, and even the TV reception was bad, channels were limited and not anymore up to what the industry standard, as was the WIFI. Otherwise the suite was nice, good bed/mattress.

After viewing our room and realizing it hadn’t appeared to have been cleaned anytime recently, there were insects, the ceiling had missing plaster, the thermostat didn’t work, the fire alarm was chirping, the carpets were black with dirt, and our security lock on the door was broke, my daughters and I returned our key and left. We were only able to find 1 room available in town. It was twice what we anticipated but had no choice but to pay it. We were 8 hrs away with a conference we ended up being late for. It was not the beginning of our girls trip we expected and are requesting a refund.

The room was supposedly newly renovated according to the gentleman that checked us in. We were the first to stay in it. However, it wasn’t all that nice. The lighting was terrible. The shower never got warm. Only the sinks had hot water. The knob on the shower would come off. It was a rather small room as well so close corners trying get around the side of the double beds. A plus was the bed slept well and it was decently clean.

The room smelled of smoke, although it is a smoke free facility. The electrical outlet was missing the cover. A couple of stains on the sheets. Next to the interstate. Bathtub had a big gouge in it. The curtain was pinned to the wall.

room had a mildew oder coffee pot did not work - told them twice room dirty, TV tables and kitchen sink need to be cleaned. went to store for Lysol wipes and spray could use a paint job 1 set of towels for 2 people! went for more and was told only one set per room and have to wait for housekeeping at 10am. they had none in the back. would not recommend and will not go back

Didn't use internet, had trouble with the tv, ac Didn't work properly and we had to keep the fan running , it was humid and now I'm getting sinusitis from the dust and fan .

I want to take the time and let the corporate office knownthat Crystal the properity manager is top notch. She went above and beyond every day to assist and make sure my stay was amazing. See its leadership skills like this that are a rare find. If i could convience here to swithch professions inwould hire herbin a heartbeat. So with that being said. Crystal if no body else acknowledges just how much you do for we the customers. I DO. Thank you

I checked out 15 minutes after I checked in. I spoke with the manager Crystal who confirmed she would give me a refund. Expedia emailed me a day later stating they couldn’t get a hold of her and when they did, she refused the refund. I was charged for four nights.

We had to beg for basic necessities like towels and toilet paper. The TV did not work the whole stay, after several calls to desk, was told someone would come to check it out and never did. Definitely will never stay in anything Hawthorne or Wyndham again.

I checked in and the room had a smell that I cannot even begin to describe. Air circulated, it did nothing. You could smell from the parking lot. When complained about, I was told to use the ozone machine. I could not complete the reservation. The shift manager approved 2 days refund, and then they charged me in full. Then refused to respond to any follow-up, even with typed conversation that they approved the 2 day refund. Never ever use this property. They are ethically immoral. I chose this place as it was near where I needed to be. The pictures look great. It is not.

Don't stay here as it is terrible I I went to the lobby three times stating we had only two hand towel and wash clothes, no trash bags or trash cans. First time I was told they would send soneone over, a day later nothing. Stopped again, clerk was smoking he ran in but never came to the desk. Third time, clerk stated you have to bring used towels to desk to receive clean ones. That also included any kitchen items which to be pre arranged. Do not stay here. Expedia photos are a fake representation of what your stay will be like.. There prior communication or follow after we checked in

I think the only thing I enjoyed about this place is that it was somewhere to sleep for the night. Other than that it was a terrible stay. I called the front desk to confirm that they don’t just give out random people our room numbers and he said no. But in fact 30 minutes later I was in danger because someone now knew where I was and it was very scary. I trusted that they wouldn’t give out that information and they failed me. Didn’t try to do anything about making it right or me to feel safe for the night he was very mean and made it seem like it was my fault. They came up and told me if this person comes again and causes a disturbance that they would have to vacate me for the night. When it wasn’t my fault from the beginning

This property is filthy. Dead bugs, hair and dirt everywhere. Run down and not at all as advertised. Staff is not helpful. There is a very very low standard of care at this property. Weekly/monthly tenants. Cops were called due to a fight while I was there. Broken TV and could see outside around my door to my room. It was awful. Towels had blue lines running through like cleaning rags. Felt unsafe. Charging over 100 a night! Couldn’t believe Expedia is renting rooms at this property at that rate.

Please heed the reviews when considering this property. It's location is convenient for airport travelers but does not offer an airport shuttle. The pictures online are not an accurate representation of the current state of the property. Non-smoking room that smelled of smoke, many items in the room needed repair (ex: nail strips protruding through carpet on stairs, kitchen table broken and very unstable, plaster missing on ceiling), suite not clean (ex: floors dirty, carpet needed vacuuming, dirty washcloth still hanging in shower from previous guest, food residue on night stand, hair on door in bathroom and on room phone, stains on sheets and pillows). The photos on the website must be photoshopped. The hotel is in a motel setting. The property has cars parked in the lot that do not have plates on them, that have flat tires, and some have car covers. This property looks like it is designed for department of social services placement for long term stay for people who don’t have a place to live. This looks more like a low income expressed stay motel rather than a hotel. People had BBQ grills outside of their units, people were walking around with laundry baskets. Upon entry to my room on the third floor the outside steps had chicken bones on them. The bathrooms toilets were not properly cleaned. The towels may have been clean but had many stains on them. The hotel offers free breakfast during your stay. In the check in area behind the desk next to the printer there was dirty dishes, plates, silverware, pots and pans that needed to be washed just sitting in the check in area next to the printer. I arrived there at 10pm if those dishes were from breakfast what were they doing sitting in the office? Very unsanitary. I traveled 13 hours by car to SC to arrive to a place like this. Long story short, my family and i did not even stay! We couldn’t! Best part of the hotel was the property manager Krystal. She is very professional, she was very accommodating, and super understanding of my feelings of the property and the room. She tried her best to accommodate us even let us see a different room! I rate the staff a 10! property, 0.

There is no way this hotel is 3.5 stars. Very misrepresented. Staff were nice and room was clean, but it was a sketchy area, police were called in people staying there, and kids pulled an alarm outside our room at 4am. There were no hooks to hang towels on, so we had to hang them on doorknobs. No housekeeping the whole time we were there (three nights). Do not stay here.

Next room one of the window's glass was broken. People at the reception was screaming at manager. The place look like a drug business pit. NOT SAVE. Not cheap for what it is

The property did not look as advertised on the app. The room was dirty and the people staying next door hung out on the stairs and chair outside our room smoking and talking loudly all night and early in the morning. We felt unsafe in the location they put us in. We were all the way in the back with people hanging outside our room at all times. They're was a spider in the bathroom as well. The breakfast was very limited but there was no eggs or cereals available. The staff did try to move us into an other room but that room wasn't much cleaner than the room we were in. Other than the staff trying to be accommodating there wasn't anything good about the place. We left after 1 night and will not ever book hear again.

If a fair priced convenient location is your priority then this place will meet your needs. Clean but not spotless, older location that has been refreshed but could do with a complete rehab. Polite and diligent staff that will do everything they can to make your stay a good one. Suggest that you ask for an upper level unit as the lower units have thin ceilings and the people upstairs will make a lot of noise no matter how careful they are.

The room was great but the facility outside was old with wear and tear, the dining small and barely nothing to eat. The breakfast without eggs and not cereal. They also charged me twice and is been over 2 weeks and not refund yet.

The whole property is old and run down, so was the room. Had to wipe something off the floor, it was black! Shower and toilet were pink, fruit flies living in the sink, faucet dripping all night. Sheets were grey and had stains and holes. The breakfast was completely gone at 7.30am. Do not stay here!

The room was dirt. The shower curtain was too short and it was hard to keep water from going out of shower on floor. The grounds were dirty. The main office and sitting area was cluttered, but the breakfast food was pretty good. Staff was nice.

The room smelled like marijuana and had not been properly cleaned. Breakfast was also unavailable because an employee did not come to work. I ended up checking out early and was denied a refund for the second night even though I advised the Hotel representative of the issues I was experiencing.

If the room was as pictured on the website with all amenities available then this would have been the review of the century. The hotel is used as a short term rental space for transient people and workers. The police drive through the area multiple times a day. My room smelled of cigarette smoke as we entered, maintenance arrived twice the first day we were there for unknown cleaning after we already checked in. I had to return my dirty towels before I could get new ones. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, but there were no utensils, plates, cups or pots and pans to be seen. The pool was out of order the entire time of our 5 day stay. Breakfast consisted of mini pancakes in a plastic bag like my kids got from their school during the pandemic and watered down juice. No coffee was available for breakfast. There are still masking required stickers on the main entrance marked 2020. The staff sat around and bickered all day, but did nothing to address the concerns of the people staying at the hotel. If I was a regional manager of this property I would be ashamed to have it listed under my name.

Looked like a handy man did paint and floor work. There were only 2 small towels and 2 wash towels in the room. There were no rugs in the bath/shower area nor at vanities. I don’t even stay, someone had ejaculated on the beds, left tissues all over the beds, no one cleaned it up, they offered another room, that room had no linens on the bed, the mattress were exposed and stained so bad it looked like someone had used the bathroom in them! I refused to stay, asked for my money back and was told I had to go through a 3rd party to get it

There are no elevators on the property. I realized there were no dishes, silverware, pots or pans, or anything to cook and eat with and was told they didnt supply them, so had to settle for takeout. The room We had several outlets that didn’t provide power, had one remote for three TVs called. They were gonna bring us another one. It never came. We had no hot water for bathing.

The room was dirty and not stocked with towels and the office was closed so I could not get any once. I realized there wasn’t any. They advertise breakfast but there is none. The office is closed from 10 PM to 10 AM. Definitely not worth the money that I spent and I would never recommend this place to anybody.
