No one bothered to inform me that renovations were underway. Roofers were working all around starting at 7:00am. I understand things like that have to be done but I was unaware when I booked.

No ice no waffles breakfast was terrible tv didn’t work property was run down and the floors were grungy

It was not a good stay. No venting or ice machine and when I wen to ask for extra washcloth they had none. They told me I had to wait until housekeeping came in at 9. Breakfast was disgusting. No effort in preparing the food. The juice machine didn’t work and again no vending machine to get anything to drink. Receptionist also had an attitude. Will not stay again. Also area is a drug infested area.

I have never stayed in a Sleep Inn before this night and now I don’t plan on staying in one in the future. What can I say… the elevator was broken more often than it ran. It got stuck on the third floor and when we told the woman at the desk her response was to give it 20 minutes; it happened at least three times in our one night stay. There was paint chips imbedded in the carpet from wall damage no one ever cleaned up. There was painters and masking tape in the staircase from when someone last painted but never removed; by the dirt on the “new” paint it has been there for a while. Only one ice maker working in the whole hotel. The hallway on the third floor had a bucket in the middle of the stairwell entry to catch dripping from the ceiling. That part of the ceiling was missing a tile, which was on the floor next to it showing the rotting wood and such. There was also caution tape on the outside of the door going up the staircase that some one pulled down, probably because the elevator was not working. The room was not the cleanest and showed dirt all over. The desk chair looked like someone chewed on the one arm rest cover and the other arm rest cover was missing entirely. The shower door was missing the seal and leaked all over the floor. They did find my kid’s lost stuffed animal that he left behind and held it for us, so there’s that positive. I do appreciate the staff’s help.

The hotel was not clean in any of the common areas. Once we arrived in our room, the first thing we noticed was that the bed was not well made, the underskirt was under the mattress and you could see directly under the bed. The refrigerator did not keep our food or drinks cool. The worst thing of all is that the shower was not working on our second day. I called the front desk and she simply replied with an ok and no one ever came to repair it. We ended up having to clean the tub out and take baths which made us late for our event. When we were leaving I informed the woman at the front desk that the shower was still not working and she told me that maintenance did not arrive until 9:30 am, we had initially called her at 7:45 am. She did not seem to care that we were inconvenienced during our stay and offered no alternatives. None of the ice or vending machines were working on any of the floors either. We will never ever patronize a Sleep Inn again.

The hotel refunded us just after we arrived and saw the roof condition. There was a strong odor everywhere and the carpets were aged and dirty. They should remodel or drop the price since you can get better nearby

The staff was rude and unhelpful i am a diabetic and had to change my sensor and i happened to have forgotten my alcohol wipes so i asked if they had a first aid kit i could have one out of instead of having to go to the store at midnight and he very angrily said no their elevator also didn't work the rooms were dirty the breakfast was nasty the curtains had holes in them they had emergency doors locked so you couldn't use them even if there was a fire and the emergency evacuation plan beside the elevator was not visible

The Hotel is very convenient to many restaurants and it was quiet. The room was clean and quite comfortable.

The displeased feeling started from I entered the establishment there was no hospitality. I had to wait about 20mins before being attended too. Once in the room I had to go back down to have the room changed, as it was dirty and smelt of cigarettes although no smoking was permitted. Cleaning staff had an attitude when asked for more towels as we were 3 in the room. They did change my room it wasn’t the best but better than the first. The following morning I did go down to part take in the breakfast which was horrible food was stale. When I got back to the room with my food a cockroach came out and was on my food. The last straw was that my last 2days at the facility they had no towels available although we could clearly see the full parking lot. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel/motel. I feel that the rating for this establishment was very misleading and so were the pictures used when booking. I strongly believe I should be compensated in some way as I had high expectations.

We arrived into our room with a horrible smell coming from the bathroom but was also spread throughout the room. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and the carpets were clearly not vacuumed. On the bedsheets we also discovered the leg of what we think is a cockroach. We requested to be moved to a different room and luckily the front desk lady was able to help with that. However, the second room was also just as disgusting. It obviously was not vacuumed either. There was mold and mildew under the sink on the carpet. The water pressure was barely existent when turning the temperature anything past cold. The window was completely detached with both locks being broken and we were on the ground floor making us feel unsafe. There was other peoples hair still left on the floor in the bathroom and shower. The breakfast was mediocre at best and they were out of most things by 8 am. The main issue with this place is the lack of cleanliness.

The photos showed a clean, newer looking property. It’s pretty run down and dirty. The carpets sticky, the sheets/towels stained, and all of the fixtures were in disrepair.

There were shaved whiskers in the sink, shower had black stuff that I cleaned up, air conditioner had a smell. Walls very thin you could here everything, hallways needed to be vacuumed worked that stay there stay outside of the hotel smoking, will never stay at a Sleep Inn again.

Had roaches, terrible complimentary breakfast, do NOT drink coffee as its over burnt black and gravy and biscuits are super bland. Expect a drunk or a homeless person to talk to you each time you step out the doors.

It was horrible, the first room was. It cleaned. The second room was not clean the bathroom was horrible, the hotel was horrible. The housekeepers would cause the hotel to fail a QA.My fiancé was bit by something and had to go to the emergency room to get treated. I have sensitive skin and broke out in hives.

Filthy, everything was filthy and the whole place smells of smoke.

The TV and internet was out for 1 1/2 days but it was on Comcast; service was out most of the state of S.C.

It is a small hotel, and small rooms. Was kind of hard to figure out where to turn in, but I can tell that the owner cares about everything he and his staff can control.

The AC unit was extremely loud and held up by a few pieces of 2 x 4’s. Both nights we had car alarms wake us up several times. The neighbors were crazy loud at 7am slamming doors repeatedly. The cleaning service took our towels and never left any replacements. I don’t like the tiny pillows but the bed was comfortable. Breakfast did not have syrup for the waffles and missing most of the food.

Good price for the area it's in. Biggest negative is small bathroom with a sliding pocket door.

When I arrived the TV wasn't working, and I wasn't unable to reach the front desk for awhile. When I finally got someone the individual never came up. So, I had to figured out what was going on. Eventually, I had to reach behind the TV, tried several plugs, and then the TV came on. Additionally, the shower and mirrors wasn't fully cleaned. The breakfast advertised on the website was misleading and the breakfast area was very untidy.

Everything is going but the sound insulation is too weak.

Check in was easy. Room was clean and beds comfy. Can be a noisy location and there were some loud guests in hallways late at night.

The sheets felt dirty and the AC was super loud. The bathroom was so small that you could barely walk around.

The staff was great!

When checking in I had to say "hello?" 3x before anyone came to help me. Guy comes out and tells me it's $100 incidental, which I said was high and he started to argue with me that it wasn't (the hotel I stayed at the night before was $25). Then in the middle of checking me in took a personal call. (I assume personal because it was on his cell and he was speaking another language). I tried asking a question in the midst of all this and he ignored me, very unprofessional. When I got to my room someone was just leaving from installing something (which is fine- but could they have given me a room that was completed). Then for the next 10 mins I got to listen to banging as he installed whatever it was in the room next to me. Hallway smelled of cugarettes and burritos (or some kinda strong food). Nuts all over the floor in the elevator, liquid on the floor. Room itself smelled kinda musty/moldy like it was old. But bed was nice and I did have a good sleep. Light in the bathroom felt dim for the stand up shower. Breakfast was ok but nothing impressive. Had biscuts and gravy, cereal and eggs. I left for the day and when I returned the smell had gone away and nuts, liquid were cleaned up. But not a great first impression to say the least!!

I don’t typically write poor reviews, but this stay was way below average. Our room was very dirty upon arrival, with multiple red and chunky stains all over our carpet and desk chair. Plus we had no cable, rendering the television useless. We looked past both of these issues because we found a concerning amount of black specks in our sink water. I will give major props to the staff who handled it quickly and kindly, thank you all for making our stay better (besides the one front desk worker who constantly acts like all the guests are inconveniencing him)

Man at the desk was super rude, asked if he could match the price on Expedia to which he said no and went on and on about how there were probably hidden fees through Expedia. (There is not, I use them all the time.) So I booked with Expedia since it was cheaper. Then after the stay the deposit was never returned. I had to dispute it with my bank to get it back.

Toilet leaked in first room, 2nd room smelled like cigarettes, 3rd room was fine.

Was an okay stay. Nothing mind boggling. Was a little upset with the staff member at night on our second night as he was more focused on taking personal calls and not at the desk. I stood there for a solid 5 minutes before he finally showed up, and again was no where to be found when we ran out of toilet paper overnight.

Heather got us check-in. Heather was a very pleasant person, greeting us with smile, trying every means to accommodate our needs as my husband was very sensitive at smoke smell. Heather made us weekends staying this hotel, definitely. We would book this hotel again at our next visit to Charleston, because of HER.

Room and hotel in general were clean, the room was nice. Easy to get into town or to the beaches. Staff was friendly.

Limited number of channels on the TV, orange juice machine for breakfast was out all week, would not comp you a drink wanted you to pay for a drink, night shift attendant was rude and not friendly. Arrived and room issued had been smoked in They had to find me another room

We were facing Northside Dr, it was noisy. The windows weren't the greatest for soundproof and tightness. The rooms need to be upgraded for the price.

Nice rooms, well kept up property, breakfast with some hot choices like eggs or biscuits and gravy. In a very busy location just off the freeway.

Hotel is located in a sketchy area. Transients and trusties of modern chemistry roaming the streets and sidewalks around it. 1st room had gross things on the comforters and food in the fridge. Second room was better but still cleaned the bathroom ourselves and wore flip flops/sandals to walk around the room and shower. Not a filthy hotel, just well used. Breakfast was just okay. Waffles were the best part.

Area around it is full of drug deals. Rooms smelled like someone just smoked in it before you got there and not the cleanest

Our stay was just an overnight in order to catch an early flight.. plenty of places within walking distance to get a bite to eat. Not far from the airport.

The Inn was nice, the people in the area around was scary. Please understand I live in a small town in NC. Thank You for your help!!

easy parking and located in a convent area to all locations.

Good place to stay for a few nights. Some odd things/people in the parking lot appear late at night giving some concerns. But other than that decent place to stay.

It was a good location near my work/class. But there is a lot of traffic and the place is noisy at night with traffic and people hanging out in the parking lot.

Breakfast was okay, but it was the same all 4 mornings we were there: apples, yogurt (the 1st day, but not replaced after that), egg patties, sausage gravy with biscuits, raisin bran, toast, and coffee. The juice machine was "out of order" our entire stay. They had a waffle machine, but sometimes it was not warmed up by the atart of breakfast. The area the hotel was in was a bit sketchy. Housekeeping came by to get dirty towels and bring new ones every day.

Breakfast was on a scale of 1 to 10 compared with other places I have stayed was a 2.....there was something I guess was supposed to be eggs...ugh....we went to mcdonalds.

Hotel interior was not particularly clean. Smell of Marijuana in my room most evenings. The breakfast area ran out of food 2 of the 3 mornings and a patron had to request refills.
