Motel 6-Carlsbad, CA - East Near LEGOLAND

Cleaning staff was friendly. Room floor was dirty when we arrived like it hadn’t been mopped. The frig was a plus. Our room’s AC was not working so it did make it uncomfortable to stay in. I know it’s not their responsibility to clean up after guests pets but there was a lot of feces in the grass from pets and owners not cleaning up after them. Location is good and right next to the freeway entrance and within walking distance to restaurants. Only other downside is one parking pass so staying while in between places and having two cars, we were worried about the second car being towed. There’s no nearby parking to park off site which is what the front desk manager said to do.

The rooms smell so bad like wet dog and there are cockroaches. The staff were completely unsympathetic and unhelpful with all issues.

COCKROACHES in our 2 rooms. We had 2 rooms on 2 different floors and they BOTH had cockroaches. The only thing offered is coffee and they didnt have regular, only decaf on day two. Beds were extremely hard. Awful experience. Dont not recommended.

ok place for the price but I stayed 3 nights and the room was never made up or cleaned so don't expect it. No coffee maker in the room but did have a refrigerator and microwave oven so that was good. Overall I just needed a place to sleep and this place did provide that.
