We booked Castello Dal Pozzo as a special treat to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The whole estate is just stunning, and the team was so welcoming. They gave us a lovely upgrade for our anniversary and were so accommodating for my coeliac disease. The pool was incredible! As were the views and, of course, the wine room! We would recommend taking part in a wine tasting ♥️🍷 On our first night, we had dinner at the Dan Garden Lounge, which was so romantic. Then, on a separate night, I had the best gluten-free club sandwich I've ever had from The main bar/ restaurant! Even though we went at the end of the season and things were closing up, the team couldn't have been more helpful!

Underbart ställe i vackra omgivningar. Fantastiskt fint rum och extremt hög service med undantag för restaurangerna på hotellet. Poolen fantastisk fin med bra bar. Maten och servicen på restaurangen håller dock en betydligt lägre standard. Ambitionen är hög men man når långt ifrån hela vägen. Här bör man bo och relaxa vid poolen, men äta bör man göra nere i byn Arona som har många bra restauranger.

My second stay at this wonderfull hotel. Very frendly and nice staff. Nature around this hotel is very beautiful. Breakfast is excellent. Specially recommend to visit the Dan Garden Lounge close to the castle.

Complaint Regarding Our Stay at Castello del Pazzo To whom it migh concern at Castello del Pazzo Management, I am writing to express our profound disappointment with our stay at your establishment. As frequently travelers who always seek out unique destinations and hotels, we were looking forward to our visit to your five-star hotel. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, our first impression was marred by the poor quality of food served at the pool area. Instead of a relaxing, luxurious environment, we were met with an overwhelming number of screaming children and numerous restrictions, making it feel more like a children's aqua park than a five-star retreat. The experience was far from relaxing and did not align with the high standards one would expect from such a hotel. The strict rules regarding dining and smoking at the pool area were particularly off-putting. Constantly having to move if we wanted to eat or smoke made it very difficult to relax. Furthermore, the music at the pool was excessively loud and, combined with the noise from the children, made the environment intolerable, prompting us to leave early. Our first visit to the restaurant Le FEIF was equally disappointing. Once again, we encountered restrictions on smoking at the table, despite being in an open-air setting. This seemed unnecessarily restrictive for adult guests on vacation. Additionally, the mosquito problem at your property caused significant discomfort. B

Castello Dal Pozzo is a lovely historical property on lovely grounds. We were given an upgraded room and sparkling wine on arrival. However, the quaint room in the tower had problems with the air conditioning/heating system. It was not working correctly (no cooling on first night, but system gurgled so loudly that it sounded like a waterfall); when we informed staff the next day, they tried to fix it, but when we returned in the evening it was instead blowing hot air and still gurgling a loudly as before - room temp was up to 26C and climbing on warm May evening. We ended up asking staff to turn off the system, which stopped the hot air from blowing, but did not stop the noise. We slept with windows open both nights, but stink bugs flew in by the many dozens.

From the moment we arrived at the Castello until the moment we left we felt of taken care of in the best way. The staff was super friendly and professional, Samantha helped us to find the perfect room for us, a very nice junior suite with view of the lago di maggiore. In the beginning we did not understand that there are actually 3 different housing options but everything was clear after the explanation. The rooms are very clean and nice. We had dinner on arrival outside in the restaurant of the hotel and the food and wine were excellent. Breakfast was rich with many options. This is a beautiful spot where it is quiet and within minutes you are among people and nice restaurants if you want. We definitely recommend this place and we hope to return there again.

Equipe de recepção e do café da manhã muito atenciosos, faziam o possível para que fôssemos bem atendidos. Café da manhã muito bom, mas teve dias que faltava algo e não erai reposto, simplesmente acabou… Mais uma observação, sempre que saíamos do nosso quarto pedíamos arrumação, mas teve um dia que retornamos às 21H:00 e o nosso quarto estava exatamente como deixamos, reclamamos, mas o máximo que conseguimos foi uma troca de toalhas!!!
Equipe de recepção e do café da manhã muito atenciosos, faziam o possível para que fôssemos bem atendidos. Café da manhã muito bom, mas teve dias que faltava algo e não erai reposto, simplesmente acabou… Mais uma observação, sempre que saíamos do nosso quarto pedíamos arrumação, mas teve um dia que retornamos às 21H:00 e o nosso quarto estava exatamente como deixamos, reclamamos, mas o máximo que conseguimos foi uma troca de toalhas!!!

O hotel é simplesmente incrível. Reservei uma noite somente para descansarmos antes da viagem de volta e não tinha pesquisado muito. O lugar é fantástico. Pena que chegamos tarde e não conseguimos aproveitar. Jantamos no restaurante e foi maravilhoso. Melhor café da manhã de toda viagem. O quarto era no castelo mesmo, decoração antiga mantida. Tudo impecável. Parecia que tínhamos voltado no tempo. Vale demais. Espero voltar novamente

L'hotel n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles en terme de service. Décoration passée de mode, hotel en dehors du chateau. Le restaurant "le fief" est très bon et pour le coup, au niveau attendu, pareil pour le petit déjeuner. Chambre au mobilier d'un autre temps, imitation ancien, donc sans le charme de l'authenticité.
L'hotel n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles en terme de service. Décoration passée de mode, hotel en dehors du chateau. This is a beautiful spot where it is quiet and within minutes you are among people and nice restaurants if you want. We definitely recommend this place and we hope to return there again.

O hotel é simplesmente incrível. Reservei uma noite somente para descansarmos antes da viagem de volta e não tinha pesquisado muito. O lugar é fantástico. Pena que chegamos tarde e não conseguimos aproveitar. Jantamos no restaurante e foi maravilhoso. Melhor café da manhã de toda viagem. O quarto era no castelo mesmo, decoração antiga mantida. Tudo impecável. Parecia que tínhamos voltado no tempo. Vale demais. Espero voltar novamente

We booked Castello Dal Pozzo as a special treat to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The whole estate is just stunning, and the team was so welcoming. They gave us a lovely upgrade for our anniversary and were so accommodating for my coeliac disease. The pool was incredible! As were the views and, of course, the wine room! We would recommend taking part in a wine tasting ♥️🍷 On our first night, we had dinner at the Dan Garden Lounge, which was so romantic. Then, on a separate night, I had the best gluten-free club sandwich I've ever had from The main bar/ restaurant! Even though we went at the end of the season and things were closing up, the team couldn't have been more helpful!

L'hotel n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles en terme de service. Décoration passée de mode, hotel en dehors du chateau. Le restaurant "le fief" est très bon et pour le coup, au niveau attendu, pareil pour le petit déjeuner. Chambre au mobilier d'un autre temps, imitation ancien, donc sans le charme de l'authenticité.

The staff was super friendly and professional, Samantha helped us to find the perfect room for us, a very nice junior suite with view of the lago di maggiore. Equipe de recepção e do café da manhã muito atenciosos, faziam o possível para que fôssemos bem atendidos. Café da manhã muito bom, mas teve dias que faltava algo e não erai reposto, simplesmente acabou… Mais uma observação, sempre que saíamos do nosso quarto pedíamos arrumação, mas teve um dia que retornamos às 21H:00 e o nosso quarto estava exatamente como deixamos, reclamamos, mas o máximo que conseguimos foi uma troca de toalhas!!!

The hotel is exquisitely furnished with marble, Venetian chandeliers, tapestries and fine fabrics. The staff at the restaurant were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine with historical significance. About 30 minutes from MXP in a quaint small town. Certainly beats the standard stay in a generic airport hotel and well worth the extra time to drive even if only for one night.

Underbart ställe i vackra omgivningar. Fantastiskt fint rum och extremt hög service med undantag för restaurangerna på hotellet. Poolen fantastisk fin med bra bar. Maten och servicen på restaurangen håller dock en betydligt lägre standard. Ambitionen är hög men man når långt ifrån hela vägen. Här bör man bo och relaxa vid poolen, men äta bör man göra nere i byn Arona som har många bra restauranger.

Chaque année nous passons un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel. Nous apprécions particulièrement le calme de la chambre et la gentillesse des personnels. Nous ne manquons jamais de manger au restaurant : Le Fief pour la qualité des plats et du service.

Complaint Regarding Our Stay at Castello del Pazzo To whom it migh concern at Castello del Pazzo Management, I am writing to express our profound disappointment with our stay at your establishment. As frequently travelers who always seek out unique destinations and hotels, we were looking forward to our visit to your five-star hotel. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, our first impression was marred by the poor quality of food served at the pool area. Instead of a relaxing, luxurious environment, we were met with an overwhelming number of screaming children and numerous restrictions, making it feel more like a children's aqua park than a five-star retreat. The experience was far from relaxing and did not align with the high standards one would expect from such a hotel. The strict rules regarding dining and smoking at the pool area were particularly off-putting. Constantly having to move if we wanted to eat or smoke made it very difficult to relax. Furthermore, the music at the pool was excessively loud and, combined with the noise from the children, made the environment intolerable, prompting us to leave early. Our first visit to the restaurant Le FEIF was equally disappointing. Once again, we encountered restrictions on smoking at the table, despite being in an open-air setting. This seemed unnecessarily restrictive for adult guests on vacation. Additionally, the mosquito problem at your property caused significant discomfort. B

Vi bokade rum på slottet,där fanns ingen,alla dörrar stod på vid gavel och vi gick länge och ropade,väntade. Vi hittade så småningom en man på en intilliggande restaurang som hänvisade oss till en annan byggnad en bra bit därifrån. Väl där fick vi höra att där vill vi inte bo (på slottet) mot en betydande avgift fick vi ett rum i den byggnaden. Frukosten ok+.

Prachtig onderhouden locatie, kamer biedt weinig luxe maar hoort bij de accommodatie, vriendelijk personeel behalve de barman, ofwel verstond hij geen engels maar was zeer arrogant en gestrest. Goed ontbijt en goede lunch. Wij komen nog terug😉

First of all i want to say the pool staff was very lovely. Easy to chat to and have really good recommendations, and service was perfect. With that said the rest of the stay was decent, but there is a few things that annoyed me to the point where i wouldnt come back. Our bathroom floor, almost every tile had cracks in them you couldnt walk barefoot without cutting your feet. And they were loose. The shower drain was too slow and would flood the bathroom and the carpet in the sleeping area. La Fief restaurant was a little underwhelming for the price. However the DAN garden restaurant we tried twice and it was pretty good, still on the pricey side. Now for the most petty thing i have ever witnessed from any Hotel we have ever visited. We paid for covered parking 15€ per night, its also the only place there was charging station for electric cars. I have never been at a Hotel where charging wasnt free if you paid for parking. But this Hotel Castello Dal Pozzo charge you a flat fee of 30€ every time you plug in your car. Doesnt matter how much you charge. Our car is a Plug-in Hybrid and they charged us 60€ for like 12 kilowatts. Its the most expensive charging in the world im pretty sure. I had to argue with the lady at the desk for a good bit and i ended up getting it reduced to 10€. I think charging for this at a Hotel in this price range is petty and pathetic. Never seen anything like it. Its free everywhere else we have been. Just beware cost is hidden no signage.

We paid for covered parking 15€ per night, its also the only place there was charging station for electric cars. I have never been at a Hotel where charging wasnt free if you paid for parking. But this Hotel Castello Dal Pozzo charge you a flat fee of 30€ every time you plug in your car. Doesnt matter how much you charge. Our car is a Plug-in Hybrid and they charged us 60€ for like 12 kilowatts. Its the most expensive charging in the world im pretty sure. I had to argue with the lady at the desk for a good bit and i ended up getting it reduced to 10€. I think charging for this at a Hotel in this price range is petty and pathetic. Never seen anything like it. Its free everywhere else we have been. Just beware cost is hidden no signage.
