Comfort Inn & Suites High Point - Archdale

Pool was shut down; bathroom was in need of updating (peeling wallpaper, broken caulking around vanity, tub faucet, stained bathroom caulking).

We have stayed here previously and again this weekend, as we were visiting our daughter. This stay was subpar and we will likely not return. The hot water was warm, at best, certainly not hot. The temperature was cooler as the stay continued. The ac/ heater unit was literally hanging out of the wall on arrival, and we could literally see outside. My husband jammed it back in the wall. We did report this the following a.m. we arrived too late the night before. Still worked ok. The advertised pool was covered and "closed for the season." It is an indoor pool?? Isnt the point of an indoor pool to avoid weather related issues? No housekeeping service our whole stay. Later we discovered it was "due to Covid concerns." Really? Seems like an excuse to avoid providing generally expected service. Covid is not going anywhere and it is time businesses stop using this as an excuse to omit services.The lack of service is not refected in the overall cost. Icemaker on the 3rd floor is not operational. Room we booked was a king, we received room with 2 beds. Again, late arrival, not worth the move. Room was in need of reburbishment. No tub stopper. But temperature was so cool, would not have been enjoyable. Location was close to university and easy on/off from highway. There were convenience stores, food, and a CVS close by. Location was good for us, but too many issues to ignore and forgive as " a one off."

The room ac unit was not clean. The sink had hair on it. The gym was filled with broken equipment.

The night clerk was a little rude to my husband, but the lady in the morning was excellent. The room was very clean and looked like the picture which is always a plus. However, the pillows were so tiny!! I have never seen pillows that small. It was a bit ridiculous. I guess that was one aspect that didn’t live up to the pic. Also, was a little peeved that the indoor pool was closed. I looked for one with a pool bc my daughter likes to go swimming. And the gym is not 24 hour. Overall, it was average at best.

I booked 2 days because of *indoor* pool - we arrive, it's empty. Elevator inoperable. We get to 1st floor room, found door propped open by folded washcloth jammed in top. Visible paper bits on the floor by where the trashcan should've been but it was sitting up on the desk? Bed 1- SO bumpy, lumpy & squeaky, I wondered if it was even intact! Pillows are all cut in half, filled with chunks with such lack of proper support made breathing difficult, **so no rest to actually be had here** Around 4am I requested another room hoping for rest, never asked for refund, only to pay more- was denied because of time of night? Left early, lost $ = FAIL

Front desk was very accommodating moved rooms so i could be closer to my family despite buying from different sites. Quiet. Easy Parking. Great mexican food nearby Cabo Grill.

Great place, clean, comfortable, and friendly. I planned a one-night stay but extended it to 2 nights. The front desk was very accommodating. The hotel is close to the major highways and eateries in the area. The only disappointment is the equipment in the exercise room is needing replacement. The treadmill was slow and worn, and the elliptical wouldn't work. Otherwise, I had a wonderful stay.

Was in town for High Point Market. First of all this place jacks up the price to 3x it's regular rate for this show. Our first room smelled aggressively musty and moldy. Rm 124. (complete with fist punch marks on the wall - classy) Our second room, (Rm 220) had slippery/slimy floors that I manually wiped up myself bc it was a hazard and making me sick to walk on even in shoes. The first day I awoke to a fire alarm that went off for about 10 minutes. There was an indoor pool, but no water in it - so not usable. The room was not cleaned the second night so I had to call down for towels. After walking 21K steps a day at the Market I come back to see the elevator was broken. The next morning, it's still broken and need to haul my luggage down a flight of stairs. My card was charged without my consent and the manger, John Patel is no where in sight and has not returned my phone call yet. AVOID this place at all costs.

We intentionally picked this hotel so our kids could swim while one of us did laundry. When we arrived to check in, the pool was empty, with a sign saying it was closed for the season. There was nothing on the website saying the pool was seasonal. So we went to do laundry, and were notified by staff that the dryer didn't work. The cherry on top was the Internet was shut off, so no wifi either. We could have picked a cheaper hotel with no pool if we knew. Very frustrating experience.

When we checked in, we found out that the Wi-Fi was not working the last two days and the pool was not available. We checked into our room but found a lot of garbage and the floor was not vacuumed someone was also complaining that the washer and dryer were not available either so you should’ve been stated upon booking.

Cob webs everywhere. Someone’s underwear on the bathroom floor. Nasty

Found cockroaches in our rooms. Linens seemed dirty.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, Bathroom was not cleaned, hair and used soap was in the tub, foyer was stick and not mopped. I am in rage and the lady at the desk simply said I apologize, no other rooms are available. She then gave me 1 plastic glove and a broken spray bottle. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room smelled so musty. Room was also dusty. Bathroom floor sticky.

Ants on the side table and dresser.

This hotel was run down. Towel hooks were literally hanging off the wall, everything was worn and there were ants literally crawling on the bed. Evening staff was unpleasant. Wish we would have stayed next door instead.

The room was horrible. So dirty. The sheets had red liquid on them and brown marks. I had to go to Walmart and get disinfectant to wipe surfaces down. The bathroom was full of caulk. The carpet was filthy. Our socks were so dirty from walking around. Fake fingernails were on the floor beside the bed and a fingernail box under the heating unit. Downstairs smelled like burnt rubber the first night. The indoor pool was closed for the season. I’ve never seen an indoor pool closed for that reason. We contacted hotels.com to inform them. They were great and tried to work with the hotel but the hotel would not let us out of the reservation. I understand the agreement I made. Just wanted to let it be known that we tried to leave. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Dirty rooms and dirty bedding and furniture , no maid service, had to ask for clean towels more than once and took out own trash. Will never stay here again!

We arrived close to midnight to check in. We went to our room and the bathroom toilet was obviously never cleaned and pubic hairs could be seen on the seat and back of the toilet. It was so late we just wanted to go to sleep so I had to clean the toilet myself. Also the bed wasn’t fully made. We told the lady at the front desk this morning about our experience, and frankly she couldn’t care less. It was a very bad experience. Please call me if you wish 215-378-8074

The first room smelled of weed and the comforter was dirty. Switched rooms and the remote had an inch of visible grime build up

Walked into the room and it was 85 degrees. A/C unit was off so I guess they’re trying save money. It’s was awful for us as we were getting ready for an event and sweating It’s your average hotel

Needs a little renovation. Old air conditioner took a while to cool the room. Bed was a little hard for our liking.

2 day stay. The good: Very clean, large room, plenty of counter space, grab bar in shower, good water pressure, adequate breakfast. Quiet. no traffic noises. Near enough to towns with restaurants that are not fast food. Staff courteous and helpful. Recommend this hotel Needs improvement: Wifi inconsistent but ok. Husband never able to get online with his fire tablet. Bathroom still has a faint cigarette smell from old hotel days. No room service but did get towels from desk clerk. This seems to be becoming the norm in all hotels. Currently hotels blame on staff shortage but I see this as a future means to cut services while prices go up. Recommend hotel management restore services asap and not go this route. Customers pay for good basic services and will note if this trend continues.

A few local and fast food restaurants close by. The bed was fine, but I don't understand why they switched to mini pillows instead of a few standard size pillows. Not very comfortable.

Great stay overall. Only issues were the room stayed humid no matter if the A/C was on or not. Tub had some pink mold. Breakfast was nice & hot. Quick & easy stay while visiting family!

Okay. Indoor pool was FREEZING. AC was wonky. Good cable channels.

This property made an ideal base for us to stay and visit family in the local area. Rooms comfortable if a little dated. All staff really friendly and made you feel welcome:)

Quiet area, spacious room, friendly staff!

My boyfriend and I chose to stay at the Comfort Inn and Suites for our 3 year anniversary and it was absolutely horrible since we’ve arrived there. As soon as we got to our room, there was a crack in the door by the lock and the locks on the door didn’t make us feel safe. We booked the hotel online through Expedia and saw pictures that made the hotel seem much better than what it was. The property also advertised a pool which was completely drained as well. We paid a cancellation fee which ended up being completely useless and a waste of money. We decided to switch rooms. The room ended up feeling safer and we started to enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I got into a serious car wreck while on the trip and were required to checkout the next day. We asked that night if we could have an extended checkout in order to have a bit more time to go through the necessary next steps. The lady at the front that night said she could only give us until 12 o’clock, but would let the owner know. The morning after, my boyfriend and I walked down to see if they could accommodate a later checkout time until we knew what was going on with the car. The lady at the front was horrible to us, didn’t even try to help us out. She acted completely dismissive, said her manager was out of town and there was nothing she could do. It felt predatory, as if they were giving us no options but to book another night for a few hours, as well as not letting us stay in the lobby for the time being.

The lady that host breakfast every morning is amazing. My husband and I were the only ones that had to leave every morning by 5:15 and she made sure we had a full course meal every morning. She was the reason we stayed at the specific place for 3 weeks regardless of the price

Some staff was helpful others were not.

We had to call hotel from lobby to get someone to help us check in at 4 pm. Then she got in the telephone and made me wait while she spoke to the other person. She should have told the person on the phone that she would be with them after she checked me in I had already waited 10 mins for her to get to the lobby.

Staff was friendly. Our first room the AC was not working. They quickly changed our room. I appreciated the efficacy of the accommodation.

Front staff was kind and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable. AC was cool and shower was hot. Right off Main Street close to many restaurants, shopping and convenience stores. Would recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again on our travels to High Point-Archdale, NC.

Little hard to find

Nice facility, back behind other properties so very quiet. Nice staff, decent breakfast, overall good place. We come to HP area often for family, will stay here again.

Room was a little dated, but close to restaurants and orher entertainment. Not bad for the price paid. Beds were comfy and hotel was quite.

Clise proximity to venue.

It's a busy area so a bit noisy but lots of options for dinj g and shopping. A bit lively for my taste.

Clean and comfortable. Interior was updated. It’s tucked back from the road and shares a driveway with Fairfield Inn. Breakfast was typical fare and was okay. There’s a McDonalds and Waffle House with walking distance.

The staff was not extremely friendly, they have bath tubs but if you want to take a bath that is out of the question because they don’t offer bath stoppers. The breakfast was delicious. The walls are extremely thin. We could hear the people in the room next to us throughout the night. Beds are comfortable though
