Leisure and quietness. Good for rest. I don't like the cleanliness of the room is just reasonable standard. The facilities are relatively old. Too much rules during your stay for just simple B&B booking. The environment is good but the staff are just average standard. Luckily I found one lady called Oriel, she is exceptionally helpful and friendly with her professional care and services.

We were booked for 2 nights but as we only had b & b was told we neede to leave the hotel between 10am and 5 pm unless I paid another 70.00 (which included lunch) but I just wanted somewhere to stay and work whilst my grandson went to a local college. I cancelled the second night because of this.

The perfect place to switch off. No pressure to dress up for dinner, rest of the day just relaxing in my robe. Only thing that lets it down as day spa guest is the quality of food at lunch, it falls significantly short of both lunch and dinner offerings. Wonderful spacious spa facilities.

Room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The food was delicious, we had a 3 course dinner and breakfast. The leisure facilities were great and staff were polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel resort and definitely visit again.

The communal areas are pleasant and clean. Unfortunately the bedroom that I was allocated could do with a bit of TLC. The bath was in need of replacing as it had a brown patch where the white coating had worn away. Not a very pleasant sight. Also I found strands of hair from the previous guest on the tiles and in the bath. The carpet in the room had stretched and was a trip hazard as it had a lump as you walked in the door. I had a treatment which I felt was not up to standard. Lesson learnt don’t be frightened to speak up if not happy during the treatment.

Don’t go here if you want luxury it’s over priced and not clean . Rooms so dated , no regulated temperature so we were so hot all night . The senior members of the team are rude, but junior team members lovely . Gym is new but that is it . It deserves to be a 3 star so just expect that through out . Needs a good hoover and a refurb !

When i arrived in my room the shower was dripping and had leaked all over the bathroom floor. It was late so i didnt ask for a change of room. The room itself looked tired, there were marks across the walls and the mattress was old and thin, not very comfortable.

Room 10, you could hear every footstep the people above made due to creaky floor boards, when we changed rooms they had deactivated our old key card so we couldnt get pur things and then not activated the new one. I advised Champneys 3 times that I had booked the 2 nights on seperate bookings so that they could be linked this was never done. Room 38 needs the radiator cleaning and bath panel cleaned/replaced

Stayed for one night with work, hotel was nice setting, however the rooms were not comfortable, two single beds pushed together and you could feel this when you moved, there was also an emergency light on in the room all night so it was not dark. The walls of the room were thin and you could hear the other guests alarms going off in the morning!

The room was a good size and a pet hate is ziplock mattress but still okay. The floor above was wooden and very noisy not correct spec for a hotel. The breakfast for some reason needed to be booked was only from 7-15 am the. Very slow seating you. Okay continental but no danish or rolls. Then you had to order cooked breakfast that took an absolute age to come (25 mins) and when it came. It was a very small breakfast with poor quality sausage (1) very over cooked bacon. Not good.

Check in was a poor experience, to slow and not welcoming. Check out was a disaster, due to lack of staff. Booking time slots for dinner and breakfast was inconvenient. Being up sold to at every opportunity was frustrating. Not made to feel welcome at all.

Service very poor, had to wait 20 to be booked in. Restaurant again had to wait and then had to find someone to be seated. Service in restaurant average, no attentive service for price paying. 2 star service through out.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. From the lady on reception when I arrived to the restaurant staff to the spa staff. Everyone was first class.

Check in was a little slow. Some staff not responsive to the queue of people waiting to check in, however very friendly when they came. Dinner was not included in my package so I opted for only 1 main course. I was surprised at the cost for 1 risotto and a glass of wine. Food was excellent though. Breakfast selected was superb and very tasty. Would definitely stay again, but may eat elsewhere based on cost alone.

I like the resort environment. Quiet and safe place for relaxation and rest. I don't like the hotel rules and regulations are so many things to be aware to use the facilities, time etc. Not very nice for customers who want free holidays and simple time to enjoy during the stay. Room 2 is noisy for the ventilation fan when operating. Flush is a bit heavy buttons. Curtains are quite old and not so unclean.

I find it amazing that a health spa has no sparkling water! Thy had run out of gas. There is no bar (I only drink sparkling water as a preference) so only wines available to others. I followed my sat nav and found myself the wrong end of the cut-in-half lane the hotel is situated in. 8 miles wrong way and hard to turn round. Check, Check, and double check before leaving. They have two postcodes, right one and wrong one.

A lovely overnight trip. My only slight gripe is that prices of food and drink are not clearly advertised. The bottles of wine we bought were quite a shock! Spa is lovely and very pleasant surroundings

Check in was a little slow. Some staff not responsive to the queue of people waiting to check in, however very friendly when they came. Dinner was not included in my package so I opted for only 1 main course. I was surprised at the cost for 1 risotto and a glass of wine. Food was excellent though. Breakfast selected was superb and very tasty. Would definitely stay again, but may eat elsewhere based on cost alone.

Room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The food was delicious, we had a 3 course dinner and breakfast. The leisure facilities were great and staff were polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel resort and definitely visit again.

The room was a good size and a pet hate is ziplock mattress but still okay. The floor above was wooden and very noisy not correct spec for a hotel. The breakfast for some reason needed to be booked was only from 7-15 am the. Very slow seating you. Okay continental but no danish or rolls. Then you had to order cooked breakfast that took an absolute age to come (25 mins) and when it came. It was a very small breakfast with poor quality sausage (1) very over cooked bacon. Not good.

This hotel just needs a little tlc to make it great. The rooms are a little tired. The staff work hard and are nice which makes up for it, but the rooms let them down.

I had travelled all day, finally got to the hotel 845pm to find out food stopped at 830pm I. spoke to the front of house but he just told me that there was no food served after 830pm, not even a few chips. (seems very early). Then I approached the bar, as I thought I would have a liquid dinner ( a few beers) and then head to bed. I picked up the drinks menu and spotted bottles of Peroni, which is my favourite beer. I thought happy days, this makes up for the lack of food. I ordered the beer. However, the bar man proceeded to tell me that they have discontinued beer from their menu. First time I've been to a bar that doesnt sell beer. I gave up and went to bed, hungry and with out a beer night cap. I woke up the next morning, very hungry due to missing dinner. As I approached the hot buffet I could only see Sausages and Scrambled eggs. There was no bacon, beans, hash browns, black or white pudding etc. There was hot broccoli but I wasnt after a Sunday roast. I ate 2 sausages which were poor and some slimy Scrambled egg and made my way down the road to find some decent grub. Very dissapointed with facilities on site. Hotel looks very clean and modern with a spa also. But for me its all about the basics not the luxuries.

Surly email received after booking to say we had to leave the site between the hours of 10am and 5pm unless we paid the £70 pppd spa supplement. Our rooms were nowhere near the spa and this seemed excessive. Room, especially bathroom, was very shabby and we felt the room was no more than a 3*. Breakfast buffet was good and evening meals were decent with a wide menu. Spa area (pool, sauna, steam room etc) were good quality.
