Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. It is easy walking to the Main Street. Helpful and friendly staff. The shower was a bit of a pain with low pressure and changing temperatures, otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

We stayed 3 nights. One night and 2 mornings there was no hot water - cold shower in Wagga in winter. Could not contact reception, housekeeping basically said the lack of hot water was due to the property being busy. Hand basin tap and shower leaked. Put the make up my room sign out on Sunday morning - we were leaving Monday, and nothing - no fresh towels. Will try somewhere else next time we visit Wagga

Disappointing Breakfast Service and Basic Rooms The rooms were very basic, which would have been acceptable had the advertised services matched reality. Prior to booking, it was stated that breakfast was available. However, upon check-in I was informed that only two small breakfast bags were provided as a complimentary gesture for our three-night stay, with any extras costing $20 each. When I questioned this, staff explained that a proper breakfast service was usually offered at their sister hotel, but it was currently closed for renovations until the end of September. This important detail was not made clear at the time of booking. To add to the confusion, the in-room documents still advertised breakfast options. The breakfast bags themselves were underwhelming — more suited to a kindergarten lunchbox than hotel guests — and there was no crockery or cutlery provided in the room to even use them properly. The room phone did not work, so I was unable to contact reception directly. When I went to reception to discuss the matter, the reception desk was unattended. While there was a phone available to call for assistance, by that point the lack of communication and clarity had become too frustrating I gave up. Overall, the experience was let down by misleading information and poor service around something as simple as breakfast and also poor house keeping , which left a disappointing impression of the stay.

A generous size room, a comfortable bed and ease of access to the middle of town and Wagga Beach made the Carlyle a great choice for the weekend.

We arrived late at night but self check in was easy. Staff very helpful to accomodate needs. Room was clean and tidy, beds comfortable and good heating. Bathroom was very tidy. Lovely little breakfast pack included cereal, fruit cup, a juice and some milk. Basic cutlery and crockery in rooms and little fridge. Would stay again

Good beds and pillows. Close to places we wanted to visit. Excellent cleanliness and helpful staff. Good aircon. Large rooms but poor layout of furniture, poor access to toilet paper. Difficult light switches on table lamps. Dripping tap. No handrail in shower to assist entry. Dangerous ledge along the side of the bath at the back that could injure if there was a fall.

I found them more than eager to help. Sadly I didn’t see the value in the king room but for basic rooms they are definitely worth the cost. Carful on the bottom floor because the plumbing gurgle could keep you awake

Returning from a work trip to Melbourne my wife and I decided we would take 3 days to get back to Brisbane and Wagga Wagga was the first night. Carlyle is a delightful place to stay. It's a motel but not for it has a quality about it which many such establishments don't have. It was warm - a 2 degree night awaited us - comfortable and close to a delicious dinner - just ask your host where to go!

Property looking a little dated but still ok. Walk across the road to access the beautiful riverside walk. Cafes, shops a short walk away. Very convenient.
