I believe I stayed in a newer room right above reception and and it was a wonderful space. They've used the space wisely and were still able to include a tiny kitchenette, ample bathroom and shower, and being new, they had a power point with USB charging spots. An excellent spot for a stop over between Sydney and Melbourne. Host was delightful and helpful.

Small but nicely decorated room. Great bathroom, very modern and clean. Kitchenette area perfect for limited needs. Room was very well located, on the edge of town, an easy spot to get to from the highway. Small amount of noise from neighbouring rooms, mostly 2nd floor, but didn't spoil our stay. Would definitely stay again.

We had an awesome two night stay. Very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated accommodation. The rainshower head was lovely and excellent water pressure with great amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, shower wash made for a relaxing stay along with the usual amenities around the sink, even including shaving cream and toothbrush although the bed just a tad hard but pillows were comfy for a good nights sleep. The road noise didn't bother us, we quite enjoyed the bird song in the morning too. TV good picture and sound that has the features of your favourite shows. Usual tea/coffee/sugar/milk supplies and a couple of packets of wrapped bikkies to enjoy and surprise gift of slippers although we didn't use them. We did opt for a continental breakfast one morning which was a reasonable price and promptly delivered the night before. The fridge wasn't loud at all which was wonderful. We didn't use the BBQ facility in the seating area but it's an option. Hotel so close to the centre of town, shops, restaurants, pool, cafes, information centre, parks and Cooma Cottage etc. We would stay here again next time we're visiting this beautiful town.

This was the best and most comfortable motel I have ever stayed in during my years of extensive travel in regional Australia. The room was immaculate, bright lit with natural light, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom new, the facilities complete. The staff were warm, kind and extremely helpful. I had a meal delivered from the local soldiers club directly to my room and the quality of this was outstanding. I’ve never left a review before but was so taken by this experience I felt it was necessary to do so. I will go out of my way to stay here again.

Staff were really lovely to deal with, they let us check in early when we arrived in town earlier than expected. The rooms just feel overdue for an update. We saw some other rooms downstairs when we were leaving which appear to have been updated so hopefully they will be soon.

In part, this establishment is starting to look a little tired in different areas. However, considering that the current owners have only taken over the operations of this motel just over 3 years ago they have so far managed to update the bathrooms and that's a great start. As time goes by it's envisaged that the room interiors will be renovated to a similar excellent standard as the bathrooms. Overall my stay at this motel was quite pleasing particularly the comfortable bedding and location.

In part, this establishment is starting to look a little tired in different areas. What a clean, well appointed and super country hotel that I stumbled on. The check in was impeccable and friendly and the entire offering compelled me to call back today and personally thank the owner/manager for the effort they obviously apply to their hotel. A treasure in Yass indeed.

We enjoyed our stay at Colonial Lodge, it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We didn't like being near the main road, it was noisy at times. We also didn't like the outside light streaming in over the curtains but apart from those things it was great 👍.

We enjoyed our stay at Colonial Lodge, it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We didn't like being near the main road, it was noisy at times. We also didn't like the outside light streaming in over the curtains but apart from those things it was great 👍.

We had an awesome two night stay. Very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated accommodation. The rainshower head was lovely and excellent water pressure with great amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, shower wash made for a relaxing stay along with the usual amenities around the sink, even including shaving cream and toothbrush although the bed just a tad hard but pillows were comfy for a good nights sleep. The road noise didn't bother us, we quite enjoyed the bird song in the morning too. TV good picture and sound that has the features of your favourite shows. Usual tea/coffee/sugar/milk supplies and a couple of packets of wrapped bikkies to enjoy and surprise gift of slippers although we didn't use them. We did opt for a continental breakfast one morning which was a reasonable price and promptly delivered the night before. The fridge wasn't loud at all which was wonderful. We didn't use the BBQ facility in the seating area but it's an option. Hotel so close to the centre of town, shops, restaurants, pool, cafes, information centre, parks and Cooma Cottage etc. We would stay here again next time we're visiting this beautiful town.

This was the best and most comfortable motel I have ever stayed in during my years of extensive travel in regional Australia. The room was immaculate, bright lit with natural light, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom new, the facilities complete. The staff were warm, kind and extremely helpful. I had a meal delivered from the local soldiers club directly to my room and the quality of this was outstanding. I’ve never left a review before but was so taken by this experience I felt it was necessary to do so. I will go out of my way to stay here again.

Nice property, nice welcome, a little far out of town if you don't have a car, some repairs required to a. front door, b. amenities cabinet, c. Handles to vanity in bathroom rusting, d. TN only had 2 channels - Is this normal for Yass? e. One of the car spaces where ground drops off is difficult to access and alight from the vehicle, f. Room 13 had one of the black seats with a broken back, g. There seemed to be no tea towel, detergent or wash cloth to clean up the dishes. We have stayed there 3 times, so overall generally nice

Facility appears to have modernised recently. Very nice to walk into the room. Water scalding hot for shower, so that was a beautiful surprise. Riya at reception - outstanding. Asset to the place. Nice BBQ area in full view of room. Could leave kids in room and felt safe about it
