Gammelt hotell med behov for oppgradering av rommene. Velværeavdelingen var lukket for oppgradering under vårt opphold dessverre. Frokosten var kjedelig og med lite utvalg. Mange turister fra utlandet kommer for å besøke Norge, de burde få en finere frokostbuffé med tanke på all den gode norske tradisjonsmat. Kaffen var ok, kun svært, og kun kald melk fra dispenser.

The hotel has a very traditional and warm feel. Although there's no elevator, it still feels great. Beautiful setting and easy parking, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. It was good value for money and a very pleasant stay.

Store rom. Flott frokost. Det spesiell med Geilo hotell er de 3 svært koselige dagligstuene med peis. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Praktisk beliggenhet med tanke på skibussen som stopper rett utenfor. Også knappe 10 min å gå fra jernbanestasjonen, så veldig greit når man kommer med toget. Anbefales.

Fantastic service, great hotel, cozy lobby with fireplaces and massive sofas with throws to relax at, free tea and coffee in the lobby, nice bar. We were off-season, travelling around Norway, absolutely loved it. The beds are super comfortable, had great night sleep. We went hiking around the nearby lake, beautiful trail in deep Norwegian woods, met a troll on the way.

Veldig sentral beliggenhet, med kor vei til alt. Gratis parkering utenfor hotellet. Koselig stemning inne i fellesarealer. God frokost! Rommet var ganske stort med 2 store lenestoler. Gode senger, puter og dyner. Fint bad. Rent både på rommet og overalt. Dessverre fungerte ikke tv grunnet at det var for mye snø på taket. Har vært på dette hotellet 2 ganger på helgetur og kommer definitivt tilbake! Mye verdi for pengene!

Great Stay, Comfortable and very friendly In the village centre, with great access to everywhere. Free parking and Free fast internet Rooms are a little outdated but it keeps the feel of the area and what the hotel stands for. Breakfast was incredible with a great selection of foods, and i personally loved the waffle machine, making my own waffles. Fully recommended

Rask og hyggelig betjening, men rommet luktet gammelt og innestengt. Fjernkontrollen til TV var klistrete av fraværende rengjøring, men vi tørket/vasket den med medbrakt antibak. Gammelt og ekkelt heldekkende teppe på gulvet. Radiator virket ikke og det var kaldt på rommet. Fikk låne en vifteovn, men da luktet det svidd i flere timer. Ingen varme på badegulv, og ventillasjonen virket heller ikke, så badet og speilet var tåkelagt av damp etter 2 min i dusjen. Frokosten var helt grei hvis man kom tidlig, men det ble fort tomt av de mest populære varmrettene. Påfyll gikk tregt, og noen retter ble ikke fylt på i det hele tatt. Ville nok valgt et annet overnattingssted neste gang.

Vi ankom hotellet 1.5 timme efter att det var grönt ljus för incheckning. Fick nyckeln, gick upp till rummet som bara var urstädat, dvs det ytliga. Sängkläderna från de förra gästerna var kvar och rummet var helt enkelt inte färdigt. Vi gick ned till receptionen och killen som stod där gick med en gång upp och sa till städpersonalen. Vi gick en sväng i väntan. När vi kom tillbaka var sängen ordnad men vi hade sagt ifrån om att vi var 4 pers. Det fnns heller inga sängkläder så vi kunde ordna det själva och heller inte handdukar till fler än 2 pers. Vi sa åter igen ifrån och det blev åtgärdat. Generellt sett var rummet otroligt smutsigt. Mattan var riktigt vidrig och det var inte bara på rummet men också på lekrummet. I övrigt var det bra. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam och frukosten var helt okej.

Room was not very clean and the outside hallway smelled bad. The room was supposed to be smoke free, but smell awful with smoke. Parking lot was a gravel which made it very difficult for bringing in luggage.Breakfast choices were good.

I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Geilo. The staff are kind, the breakfast is great and the room was clean. The views are amazing, and the hotel is conveniently located on the ski bus route.

Bra hotell, bra rom. Veldig bra renhold, både på rom og bad. Gode senger. Eneste ulempen var at på grunn av veldig høy temperatur måtte vi ha vinduet åpent på natta, og på grunn av mye støy fra toget som passerte ble det dårlig søvn. Hadde utetemperaturen vært lavere og vinduene kunne vært lukket hadde nok ikke dette vært noe problem. Frokosten var veldig bra. Ellers så var 350,- for et lite glass rødvin og 0.33 pærecider litt drøyt. Men totalt sett fornøyd.

Helt greit, ikke noe konkret å sette fingeren på. En del støy på nattetid fra støyende parkerte tog på vår side av hotellet over lengre tid gjentatte ganger, ødela mye av nattesøvnen.

Slitent hotell. Vi fikk rom mot parkering og jernbane. Sikkert andre rom som er bedre. Det største problemet er at rommet manglet ikke bare AC men og ventilasjon. Ekstremt varmt om natta.

Two night stay, Feb 2025 Overall had a great stay, the Hotel is warm and comfortable and the refurbished decor is lovely. The log burner in the lounge/bar area was lit every afternoon/evening and we always found a comfortable corner. Bedrooms are not huge but are comfortable and we had a great view, worth the extra cost for a lake facing room. No tea/coffee making facility in rooms, however available in the dining room all day to help ourselves. Breakfast was pretty good, we enjoyed the Norwegian waffles, there is a good variety of cold meats, cheeses and herring, a limited hot food selection and a great view. The Hotel is very convenient for the train which we took from Oslo (highly recommended) as the hotel location is a few minutes, flat walk so no problem to pull our bags along in the snow. A short but uphill walk to Geiloheisen Express chair lift for access to skiing on the town side (mainly blue and red runs). Great skiing - a day of sunshine and then a day of fresh snow / poor visibility which was a bit tricky on a busy Saturday. Staff were helpful letting us leave our luggage after check-out and use facilities for changing/showering after skiing. The only real negative was that the bus service for access to the ski area on the other side of town, Vestilia was a bit erratic in terms of where/when the bus stopped so leave plenty of time for that.

I expected more from this hotel. We had an ordinary room with a view of a carpark. The room was basic. Nofridge, coffe making facilities and plastic cups! Very small tv. Extra pillows in cupboard were dirty and no pillow cases. Breakfast was poor. Limited food and very poor to what we have experienced in every other hotel we stayed. No fresh pastries, limited hot food and poor selection of cereal. Restaurant food expensive and very limited menu so we did not eat there. There is no lift so we had to carry our bags to 4th floor. The hotel ambience and decor is very nice.

Rommet var i 4. etg uten heis. Det var veldig mørkt i rommet, alle møbler var helt mørke. Vegger var malt mørk grå. Svarte lampeskjermmer. På badet var det en bitteliten vask knapt så en kunne vaske hender. Skulle ta en fusj første kvelden etter en lang kjøretur med det var ikke varmtvann i dusjen. Rommet hadde flere nivå på gulvhøyden, flere av disse nivåene var vanskelige å forsere hvis du ikke var meget obs. De fleste gjester regner vel med at gulvet er helt slett. I det hele var det ingen hyggelig opplevelse her, bortsett fra at det var god frokost

Vi sjekket inn 18.45, spurte om det var mulig å få middag. Fikk beskjed om å være i restauranten før 19 så gikk det bra. Var der 18.50 registrerte oss, fikk bord og meny som inneholdt en tre retters. Så kommer servitøren tilbake og ber oss gå fordi det kommer et selskap?! Vi brukte 40 min på å finne noe som var åpent, Peppes. Dervicen i resepsjonen var bra, men luktet gammelt på hotellet selv om overflatene var pusset opp.

With check in. Or until 4pm, you’d expectations to be ready. Arrived early and was told to come back at 4pm which I did. At that time I was told the room wasn’t ready. I was waiting around until 4.50pm. The people at the desk were very friendly and apologetic so nothing against them. However if your checking is as late as 4pm and you can get rooms ready on time there must be a shortage of staff. Other than that, the hotel was wonderful, just far enough out of the main centre but close enough to walk. Plenty of car parking space for cars.

Stod opp lørdags morgen kaffe tørst som bare faen snek meg inn på resturangen og spør pent og forsiktig om og ta ett par kopper kaffe og fikk beskjed om at det var litt dumt og komme inn og spør om det når hu hadde det så travelt og bla bla bla langt i fra veldig fornøyd var hu der så nei grinete kjærring trenger ikke jeg og møte på hotell.men fikk nå tatt meg en liten kaffe før di åpnet men syntes det er elendig at man må vente til kl er 07.00 for og få seg en kaffe kopp på hotell.

Hotellet er ikke nyt, og bærer lidt præg af at der bruges skistøvler en del af året, men alt var rent og indbydende. Personalet var travle, men imødekommende og gjorde hvad de kunne for at servicere alle. Maden var aldeles fremragende ( vi valgte Rensdyr mørbrad ), det var veltilberedt og meget velanrettet. Close to train station - about 10 minutes walk. Generally good. Annoyed that I was told breakfast was from 0800 when two coach parties were allowed in before me! With an early train to catch 0700 would have been more convenient for me. Information provided before I booked stated breakfast was served from 0730. In front of hotel was a building site which spoilt the view somewhat ! Would consider using again as its near the station but a bit putt off by their taking coach parties.

We stayed in the Geilo Hotel, a short walk from the train station, before continuing on to Bergen. It's very cute inside! Our room had a nice view of the mountains, and it was easy to walk to the lake for a hike. The only weird part was that toilet was oddly placed in the bathroom. P.s. they're not strict about when the breakfast room opens.

Store rom. Flott frokost. Det spesiell med Geilo hotell er de 3 svært koselige dagligstuene med peis. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Praktisk beliggenhet med tanke på skibussen som stopper rett utenfor. Også knappe 10 min å gå fra jernbanestasjonen, så veldig greit når man kommer med toget. Anbefales.

Veldig sentral beliggenhet, med kor vei til alt. Gratis parkering utenfor hotellet. Koselig stemning inne i fellesarealer. God frokost! Rommet var ganske stort med 2 store lenestoler. Gode senger, puter og dyner. Fint bad. Rent både på rommet og overalt. Dessverre fungerte ikke tv grunnet at det var for mye snø på taket. Har vært på dette hotellet 2 ganger på helgetur og kommer definitivt tilbake! Mye verdi for pengene!

Mysigt hotell till bra pris. Bra frukost med tillräckligt att välja på som yoghurt, flingor, gott bröd, pålägg, våfflor och mycket annat. Vi var där lite off-season så restaurangen var inte öppen varje kväll men hotellet ligger ganska nära centrum där några restauranger finns. Hotellet har ingen hiss och rum finns på andra våningen, dvs två trappor upp, så har man svårt att gå i trappor så be om ett rum på bottenplan. Fräscha rum och badrum. Vi avböjde städning varje dag men det var välstädat när vi checkade in i alla fall. Trevlig personal.

Veldig bra hotell. Service, renhold, gode senger og koselige oppholdsrom for kvelden. Eneste minus var at til middag var det kun en rett, fisk, vi ville gjerne hatt en kjøttmiddag og måtte derfor gå annetsteds for å spise.

Great Stay, Comfortable and very friendly In the village centre, with great access to everywhere. Free parking and Free fast internet Rooms are a little outdated but it keeps the feel of the area and what the hotel stands for. Breakfast was incredible with a great selection of foods, and i personally loved the waffle machine, making my own waffles. Fully recommended

We stopped in Geilo for 1 night on our way to Flåm during our wedding anniversary trip. We appreciated that the hotel staff gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We loved how the hotel had a complimentary sauna to use - no one else was using it while we were there so it was very relaxing! Super clean as well. We had to leave early the next morning before the hotel breakfast even started, so we asked if we could get breakfast to go from their restaurant. The staff were happy to help us with that and our breakfast was ready at the front desk when we checked out. We ate our dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was good. We both got moose burgers and shared a local cheese plate. The resto is worth checking out. Thanks for a great stay!
