Beautifully located with views over lake and hills. Great manor house wooded interior with a maze of landings and hallways. Decorated in a great jumble of styles. Breakfast was excellent, served and cooked well. Room was clean and well maintained. Definitely would return. Grumps…no wifi on top bedrooms. Heating was controlled centrally and was chilly.

A very enjoyable stay. It was lovely to be able to have our dog with us and feel welcome. We are in the restaurant the first night. There were limited choices especially for vegetarians but the food was high quality. Breakfast had a good range of choice and everything was lovely. I couldn’t get the WiFi to work in the bedroom. The view from the room was gorgeous. The hallways are a bit dark and gloomy but the room was light and comfortable. Some good walks straight from the hotel.

This hotel is in a fabulous location with stunning views from every window and a lovely side garden giving wonderful sunset views. Our double room was comfortable but it could have done with having a kingsize bed not just a double, which is what I expect for a hotel room, at this price, in this day and age. The restaurant dinner food was excellent but the breakfast could have had more choice of fruits and pastries. Staff were all very friendly. Car parking is available but very tight spaces. There was road noise and we were woken early by this and also due to a delivery van unloading under our window.

Beautiful room, stunning view from room 4. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent, and if you are heading out for walks, they can provide a packed lunch if you order the day before. There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed.

There is no lift in this hotel. It’s an old Manor House. All clean very spacious rooms , beautiful views. Breakfast was delicious. Very dog friendly

The hotel is very conveniently placed for walks to Ullock Pike, Skiddaw and Dodd Wood, all of which can be done from the door. Staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Lovely outdoor terrace area with views over hills and lake. Not far from Keswick.

Fabulous stay with our dog. Large comfortable room wth a walk in shower and a bath. Food is lovely and thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Large very comfortable lounge with good wifi. Good local walks and scenery. It wasnt my first stay and wont be the last

I have enjoyed a pleasant and relaxing two night stay The grounds/setting was very good though slightly noisy from the main road but tolerable Staff were friendly and accommodating. Meals were very nice and dining room relaxed. Only two negative things though not serious,was a dog barking from 22.45 until 23.30 pm which did disturb my sleep which isn't usually good. Annoyed that some person didn't keep their dog in check. Rooms were clean and comfortable but care needs to be done with dusting around switches,picture frames and lighting as dust was found in most areas

The staff were courteous, unfortunately there was a pair of unclean knickers under the bed, I mentioned this to reception on check out, i asked her to mention this to housekeeping, she didnt respond with anything

Booked last minute for a night away. Very reasonable for bed and breakfast. All staff very attentive, the food is absolutely beautiful. The room was spotlessly clean. Very cosy manor house with log fire and lots of little areas to sit. Will definitely return

I have stayed here twice before and always been really impressed. This time however the bedding was dirty with a large circular stain in the middle and some type of dirt near the bottom. The tap was also not working properly in the sink. This trip did not live up to the usual standards which was really disappointing. On the plus side the food was great (albeit pricey) and staff really friendly.

On a plus nice staff and a comfy bed... However, I accept I was a solo travellor...but the bedroom was very small , paper thin walls and I could hear next doors occupants snoring into the early hours... One tiny space to park ... A pile of hair on the bathroom floor.. Scaffolding etc outside and at 9 am a builder on said scaffolding with full view into my room I didnt say anything there, as again as a solo female traveller I just want a simple , safe stay...for a 4 star hotel. ..not what I had hoped for or other reviews had led me to believe

We have stayed at Ravenstone Manor previously and have found the service to be excellent. Ravenstone is a very dog friendly hotel (so be prepared to see dogs even in the dining areas - the meals are excellent). The hotel is always kept clean and tidy and the views are breathtaking. Staff are friendly and the service is second to none. If you have a dog or just a dog lover, I would highly recommend Ravenstone Manor. Walks in the area are plentiful and scenery is amazing.

Thoroughly enjoying our trip, the family room is spacious, the bedding is top quality and the bathroom is amazing. Food was delicious, staff could not be more helpful.

One of the most warm, welcoming hotels we've stayed in. Beautiful house and even better staff. Their master bedroom has the most phenomenal view but the smaller bedrooms are very nice and cozy and have a similar view. Highly recommend the place.

We had a terrific 3-day stay at Ravenstone Manor. The staff were exceptional, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Our room had a wonderful lake view and the common spaces were terrific for lounging. A woodland trail from the hotel provided easy access to a broad range of hikes, including Skiddaw, and it’s an easy drive to Keswick. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to the Lakes.

The friendliest staff I have ever encountered from those in reception and restaurant. No attitude just so friendly there to help. The most wonderful staff I have ever encountered

I have enjoyed a pleasant and relaxing two night stay The grounds/setting was very good though slightly noisy from the main road but tolerable Staff were friendly and accommodating. Meals were very nice and dining room relaxed. Only two negative things though not serious,was a dog barking from 22.45 until 23.30 pm which did disturb my sleep which isn't usually good. Annoyed that some person didn't keep their dog in check. Rooms were clean and comfortable but care needs to be done with dusting around switches,picture frames and lighting as dust was found in most areas

It isnt close to the lake as far a wslking down to the lake and view if lake limited. Staff tried but it seemed that they were struggling it make it work. Nothing really wrong but probably wont stay there again

Lovely hotel in a nice location a few minutes drive from Keswick. Really enjoyed our short stay here. Loved the old hotel, spacious, nicely decorated and clean public areas. Building is full of character. Enjoyed the food - ate in for the two nights that we stayed, plenty of choice on the menus and the meals were very good. Lots of friendly and efficient staff who were all very nice. Don’t have a dog, but enjoyed seeing a few very well behaved dogs enjoying their holidays too. Nice views across open countryside towards Bassenthwaite and the fells beyond. Very good value for money too. Hotel was busy and seems, rightly, very popular. Plenty of areas to sit in the public areas so guests have plenty of space. Lovely views from these areas too. We stayed here as we needed to travel to the West coast on one day - it is perfectly located for this.

The hotel is very conveniently placed for walks to Ullock Pike, Skiddaw and Dodd Wood, all of which can be done from the door. Staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Lovely outdoor terrace area with views over hills and lake. Not far from Keswick.

We loved our stay here. Such a beautiful place. Was pleasantly surprised at how good the restaurant was. Sticky pudding was the best we've had in the UK. Fish and Chips were amazing. Such a wonderful area. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.

Really dog friendly, staff are fabulous. Breakfast good, dinner not do good.overall a really good stay this was my burger done what raw. It was taken off the bill. These things happen. The views are lovely

A very enjoyable stay. It was lovely to be able to have our dog with us and feel welcome. We are in the restaurant the first night. There were limited choices especially for vegetarians but the food was high quality. Breakfast had a good range of choice and everything was lovely. I couldn’t get the WiFi to work in the bedroom. The view from the room was gorgeous. The hallways are a bit dark and gloomy but the room was light and comfortable. Some good walks straight from the hotel.

Spotless clean, luxury room in the quiet part of the lake district. The staff were great and friendly. The food is very high quality. A brilliant place, we will be back.

This hotel is in a fabulous location with stunning views from every window and a lovely side garden giving wonderful sunset views. Our double room was comfortable but it could have done with having a kingsize bed not just a double, which is what I expect for a hotel room, at this price, in this day and age. The restaurant dinner food was excellent but the breakfast could have had more choice of fruits and pastries. Staff were all very friendly. Car parking is available but very tight spaces. There was road noise and we were woken early by this and also due to a delivery van unloading under our window.

There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed.

Lovely hotel in a great location for walks. Friendly staff at reception, breakfast and the bar. Very nice food at breakfast. Clean and cosy room although the bathroom was looking a bit dated. The rest of the hotel was very nicely decorated, especially the bar. We were very fortunate to have the view from our room!

Love this place! So many fabulous cozy common rooms to enjoy for making new friends or reading a book by a cozy fire. Beautiful views across the valley to the lake. Staff was always attentive, prompt, and helpful. We thought the food selection was fantastic and I’m sure I gained 5 pounds during our four days stay!. no Allison is a fantastic manager.

Amazing place. Beautiful finishes. Food was out of this world, great! Room was a bit small and bathroom was quite dark but overall cozy. Must be a confident driver to manage the parking lot and pulling in and out onto the main road.
