Emmet Hotel

Older hotel but upgrades are lovely and very modern rooms, lounge, sitting room areas. Clean Room was adequate space and bed was comfortable & pillows were extra plump and firm Very relaxing !! Staff are all so gracious and helpful ! Breakfast was cooked perfectly as ordered ! Nice garden room and grounds Great location & walkable to many attractions, pubs, cafes, shops. Will be back !!

Our stay at the Emmet Hotel in Clonakilty was truly wonderful, and it became one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with thoughtful design touches throughout. We loved the unique wallpaper in each room, the cozy and welcoming library, and the stunning dining room with its elegant ivy-patterned wallpaper. Every space felt warm, stylish, and inviting - including the two goldfish in the dining room named after the bar keepers! We were fortunate to stay in Room 19, which was absolutely lovely. The room was filled with natural light and featured a charming bay window seat where we could relax and take in the view. A door opened onto a balcony overlooking the church steeple and the town brook, creating a picturesque setting that made our stay feel even more speci What made our stay especially memorable was the exceptional staff. From the front desk team to the housekeeping staff, everyone was genuinely warm, attentive, and kind. The food was outstanding. Breakfast became our favorite meal of the day, and we looked forward to it every morning. Everything was fresh and delicious, the scrambled eggs and french toast will be remember long after our trip. Also try the warm beet salad! The location is perfect - right in the heart of Clonakilty and within easy walking distance of everything in town. The Emmet became our home base for exploring West Cork, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We will be back!

Very comfortable bed and luxurious sheets / bedding

Das Emmet House ist ein ganz besonders schönes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Betten sehr bequem. Besonders gefallen hat uns das Frühstück - auf Bestellung wird alles mit einer kurzen Wartezeit vorbereitet und es hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt. Auch das Abendessen im Hotel war sehr lecker. Parkplätze sind direkt vorm Hotel zahlreich und gratis vorhanden. In der Nähe gibt es einige Läden, Pubs und Restaurants. Mit dem Auto sind einige schöne Strände schnell erreichbar.
