Holiday Inn Express - Eunice by IHG

The pool was broken which is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The AC unit in the room wasn’t working and no other rooms were available so I had to stay in a warm and humid room. There was pink mold growing in the shower. The lights on the wall didn’t work and the extension cords running everywhere were unnecessary. The refrigerator was missing a leg and falling over. This stay was very disappointing! The only positive… The breakfast area was nice and the food was good.

booked through expedia. requested for reduction of stay by 1 night on day 1. property manager was not able to talk to expedia even after multiple attempts. It was more like he was not willing to call back. Besides that, little old property, front desk employees were amazing.

Rooms could use some updating. Door close very loud. Only one elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was mediocre. Ran out of plates for 2 days and pancake maker was broken.

It was okay. The reason we chose this place was the pool and my kids couldn't even use it.

I want to start by saying that the employees here were fantastic—they went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth as possible. Their effort was truly appreciated! However, the hotel itself was a different story. We originally booked a king suite through Hotels.com, but upon arrival, we were informed that none were actually available, leaving us with only a double queen as an option. We accepted the change and headed up to the third floor via an elevator that sounded like it had maybe two weeks left to live. After hauling all of our belongings up and unpacking, we discovered that our door didn’t fully close or lock. When we brought it to the front desk’s attention, we were told it was a known issue with that room. The only solution? Moving again—this time to the only remaining room on the first floor. Since we were on a tight schedule, the whole process felt rushed and frustrating. When we finally settled into the new room, we realized there were no towels. On top of that, the walls were paper-thin—we could hear every person coming and going through the hotel. Later, we went out to eat and stored our leftovers in the mini-fridge, only to be woken up in the middle of the night by a horrible noise. Turns out, the fridge was broken, and our food was ruined. Add to that weak water pressure, peeling carpet, and an overall lack of upkeep, and it made for a pretty disappointing stay. Room was nice but bathtub didn’t drain while showering so stood in 3 inches of water and mold around the tub. EV charger didn’t work, but oh well. It did the job for a stay in Eunice though

We booked the hotel for the indoor pool. Pool was closed due to a hole in the roof (they did open the pool for 1 afternoon after we asked repeatedly). Carpets were damp in the rooms. The poor front desk worker couldn’t consistently assist others because she was also cleaning rooms (allstar tournament weekend in the town). The key cards kept needing to be reset. No pillows available for the sofa bed. No selection of drinks to purchase in the refreshment area. Many rooms had issues with hot water. The washer and dryer were broken. I’ve never encountered a Holiday Inn Express so poorly run with so many issues. We paid nearly $200/night in EUNICE, LA…

Dirty shower. No toilet paper. Dusty bedding.

This hotel was very clean. The room and bathroom were spacious, bigger than I expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!

I don’t usually write bad reviews but this place is a nightmare. Sheets in the rooms were dirty, door in the room looked like it was broken into, could not close bathroom door. Tub was dirty. PLEASE DONT’ STAY HERE HAD BEDBUGS ALSO!

No ac thermostat in our room it was so cold we needed to ask for extra blankets to stay warm tub needs to be replaced not repainted over and over again walls are so dirty in the bathroom housekeeping needs to really deep clean entire room carpet needed to either be replaced or shampooed really well we were very disappointed in our stay.........

I’ve always liked to stay here but this time I had a bunch of problems no toilet paper. Coffee maker was extremely dirty so was the tub and shower.

Front desk was very friendly and updated decor. The hallway to the room was outdated and the room had a closed up musky smell.

This hotel isn’t very clean. Our room was very musty in smell. We had hair balls in our bed and on the towels. Our tv didn’t work. Positives: the bed was pretty comfy and the AC worked very well. The price I paid for this room is absolutely nuts for what it was.

One of the better hotels in the area, many different fast food, restaurants in the area. Clean property inside and out. Sometimes can be noisy with the slamming of the doors people walking in the hallway, as in most hotels, just seems much more louder than most. Still was able to get plenty of rest!

I called to see if I was able to check in 2 hours early and was notified that they have decided to CANCEL both of my rooms due to them over booking! I make this reservation 6 days prior! The only explanation she would give me was that they over booked by 6 rooms and picked my rooms to cancel. The nearest hotel was 30 minutes away! I will never use Holiday Inn again.

First time in several times of staying there that I had to wait to check in. No one was at counter and only came to counter when she came around to get some paper work and I surprised her!! Just a ok stay, with most rooms filled with a high school team in town.

The lady at the front desk,on the date of Aug 3, 2023 late in the afternoon, was so rude from the moment we walked into the building. She so unprofessional we ended up having to cancel our reservation because she dis not want to give us the amount of rooms we reserved online and just proceeded to be rude through the whole process even after the company I booked through called the front desk to clarify any issues. I was very disappointed we decided to just leave and drive back home!

The check in process took way too long. When asked why they charged my card 3 times the lady at the desk couldn’t answer me or refund me. There wasn’t a manager on site to help the situation.

Probably the best best option for hotel in Eunice. A typical Holiday Inn property. Beds were comfortable. Staff was nice. No complaints.

No ac in 1st room, 2nd room had to leave after seeing 3 spiders. Shower drain was slow. Breakfast looked like it was from yesterday. Billed me incorrectly and still waiting on a call back. Stayed at this location several times with no problems but it has gone done hill, will NOT return!!!

Wrong type of room was assigned. Most of the items in the Snack area were expired.
